Abstract

AbstractThe Phenomenon of Tegalurung-Indramayu Community Life in The Novel Aib dan Nasib by Minanto. This research aims to describe the phenomenon of Tegalurung-Indramayu community life contained in the novel Aib and Nasib by Minanto. The formulation of the problem contained in this study is how the life of the villagers contained in the novel Aib and Nasib by Minanto and its implications for social life. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data source of this research is the novel Aib and Nasib by Minanto. Furthermore, the data contained in this novel is associated with Alan Swingewood's theory of literary sociology which states that literary works are born as social documents that record an era. The result of this study revealed that the novel Aib and Nasib by Minanto recorded the phenomena of family disorganisation, poverty, violence, young generation and early marriage in the life of Tegalurung community which implicated in a chaotic and problematic social life.Keywords: Aib dan Nasib, Alan Swingewood, Novel, Sociology of literatureAbstrakFenomena Kehidupan Masyarakat Tegalurung-Indramayu dalam Novel Aib dan Nasib karya Minanto. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena kehidupan masyarakat Tegalurung-Indramayu yang terdapat di dalam novel Aib dan Nasib karya Minanto. Rumusan masalah yang terdapat pada penelitian ini ialah bagaimana kehidupan orang-orang desa yang terdapat dalam novel Aib dan Nasib karya Minanto dan implikasinya pada kehidupan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data penelitian ini ialah novel Aib dan Nasib karya Minanto. Selanjutnya, data yang terdapat dalam novel ini dikaitkan dengan teori sosiologi sastra Alan Swingewood yang menyatakan bahwa karya sastra lahir sebagai dokumen sosial yang merekam suatu zaman. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa novel Aib dan Nasib karya Minanto merekam fenomena disorganisasi keluarga, kemiskinan, kekerasan, generasi muda dan pernikahan dini pada kehidupan masyarakat di Tegalurung yang berimplikasi pada kehidupan sosial yang kacau dan penuh dengan masalah.Kata-kata kunci: Aib dan Nasib, Alan Swingewood, Novel, Sosiologi sastra

Abstract

The low awareness among the younger generation regarding the values of food and environmental sustainability poses a significant challenge in preserving cultural heritage and ecosystems in Indonesia. This study aims to describe the level of students' literacy on food and environmental sustainability values embedded in their local wisdom. The study involved 252 sixth-grade students as participants. Data were collected through surveys and interviews to assess the students' understanding of food sustainability values in folktales, such as the origins of vegetables and corn, and environmental sustainability values in traditional ceremonies, such as the village clean-up ceremony and water source conservation. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative approaches to provide a comprehensive understanding of the students' literacy. The findings revealed that the majority of students showed more positive literacy regarding environmental sustainability values in traditional ceremonies compared to food sustainability values in folktales. Students were more supportive of environmental cleanliness and the preservation of water sources. On the other hand, students' literacy regarding food sustainability values, particularly those related to corn, was relatively low. Key factors influencing this low literacy included limited access to folktales, negative perceptions of corn-based foods (which are associated with "demonic foods" in traditional ceremonies), and socio-economic stigma towards corn rice. The conclusion of this study is that students' literacy on sustainability values embedded in local wisdom is not evenly distributed.

Abstract

Ketidakadilan gender masih menjadi fenomena yang sering terjadi di tengah masyarakat. Hal tersebut tidak hanya terjadi di kehidupan nyata, tetapi juga terdapat pada hasil dari produk kebudayaan seperti karya sastra, iklan, dan lagu. Pnelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bentuk-bentuk ketidakadilan gender pada lirik lagu tarling dangdut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini ialah lagu tarling dangdut pantura. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa lirik lagu tarling dangdut yang memuat bentuk ketidakadilan gender. Teknik pengampilan sampel yang digunakan ialah teknik purposive sampling. Teknik validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teori. Hasil dari penelitian ini menununjukkan bahwa lagu-lagu tarling dangdut berjudul Keloas, Pecak Welut, Wayu Colongan, Dermayu Hongkong, Ngobor Kodok, Rong Puluh Ewu, Mabok Tuak, dan Selangkung Rong Langkung memuat bentuk ketidakadilan gender meliputi subordinasi, stereotip, kekerasan, dan beban kerja ganda.

Abstract

Faktor utama yang menyebabkan tingginya angka obesitas di Indonesia adalah pola konsumsi makanan yang tidak terkontrol dengan baik. Salah satu novel yang menggarap tema perihal hubungan antara makanan dengan obesitas adalah novel Bagaimana Cara Mengurangi Berat Badan karya Amalia Yunus. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menjelaskan citra makanan dan dampak kesehatan, emosi, serta perilaku tokoh utama dalam novel Bagaimana Cara Mengurangi Berat Badan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa jenis makanan yang terdapat dalam objek penelitian, yakni makanan diet, makanan cepat saji, makanan tradisional, dan makanan rumah sakit. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa makanan dapat memengaruhi kesehatan, emosi, dan perilaku tokoh utama. Selain itu, terdapat beberapa hubungan antara makanan dengan manusia, hubungan tersebut meliputi: kerakusan pada makanan, dampak buruk makanan, ketersinggungan karena makanan, tata cara makan, rasa bersyukur, dan makanan sebagai identitas.

Abstract

The urgency of moral education is one of the issues that has recently been discussed. Folklore, which contains noble values, is one of the media that can be used in character development. This study aims to explore the content of character education values in Indramayu folklore and its utilization as a media for character education. The researcher utilizes the theory of character education initiated by Lickona. The method used in this research is qualitative method with content analysis approach. Data in the form of folktales contained in two books of folklore collection by Kusyoto and Supali Kasim were collected using the flowing document analysis technique. The results of this study indicate that Indramayu folktales contain character education values including moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral action. Moral knowledge includes moral awareness, wise decision making, knowing moral values, and being able to take perspective. Moral feelings include loving kindness and having a conscience. Moral actions include having the competence and will to solve moral problems. The findings of this study can be utilized as a medium for instilling the value of character education for students, especially in schools located in the Indramayu Regency area.

Abstract

Berokan merupakan salah satu kesenian yang terdapat di Indramayu, Jawa Barat. Kesenian ini berupa pertunjukan seorang dalang yang mengenakan kostum seperti binatang macan atau singa. Kesenian Berokan memiliki latar sejarah, fungsi, dan makna simbolik yang unik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan asal-usul, makna simbolik, dan fungsi kesenian Berokan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Data penelitian ini berupa hasil wawancara mendalam dengan informan dan studi pustaka. Narasumber dalam penelitian ini yaitu budayawan Indramayu, seniman Berokan, dan data berasal dari buku-buku yang memuat informasi mengenai kesenian Berokan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan snowballsampling dan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk fisik dan prosesi dalam kesenian Berokan seperti bentuk ekor, bentuk wajah dan tingkah lucunya, sesajian, bahan kostum, prosesi lempar bantal, dan hubungan antara dalang dan Berokan  memiliki makna yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai kebudayaan di Indramayu.  Kesenian Berokan juga memiliki fungsi religius, fungsi didaktis, dan fungsi sosial.

Abstract

In implementing the Independent Curriculum, not all teachers understand the principles of developing teaching modules. This community service program aims to provide training and mentoring to elementary school teachers in Karangpandan District, Karanganyar Regency, in planning and implementing Indonesian language learning. The activity partner is the Karanganyar Regency Education and Culture Office. Thirty teachers from Karangpandan District participated. The methods used were expository, sharing ideas, modeling, and mentoring. This community service program uses a participatory approach, actively involving participants at all stages of the activity. The method used in this activity is divided into three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation and reporting. The training consisted of material presentations accompanied by examples through workshops so that teachers had the opportunity to practice. Mentoring was carried out after teachers practiced creating learning tools (teaching modules), then a review of the teaching modules was conducted by assessing the quality of the Indonesian language lesson assessment tools. The results of the community service activity are as follows. First, all teacher participants were 100 percent present at the workshop. Second, of the 30 active workshop teachers, 28 teachers compiled Indonesian language teaching modules for grade 4 and were willing to revise them. Third, 25 teachers were able to compile teaching modules well.
