Abstract

Because in today's tight business competition, business actors must have good performance in managing their business. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this research was the MSE business actors in Laguna Surabaya. The number of samples in this study was 50 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, with the method used being saturated sampling. The data analysis used in this research is the t test and F test. The results of this research show that the partial analysis test of the F test analysis in this research shows that Self-Efficacy, Adversity Quotient and Social Support have a significant effect together (simultaneously) on Actor Performance. Laguna Surabaya MSE Business. Thus, it can be said that the three variables, namely Self-Efficacy, Adversity Quotient and Social Support, simultaneously and partially have a significant influence on the Performance of Business Actors. The Self-Efficacy variable is the most dominant variable. on the Performance of Business Actors. Business actors are expected to increase their self-confidence in the business sector they are involved in, business actors must pay attention to themselves in controlling their emotions and the cooperation carried out by the business community with government institutions can help business actors.

Abstract

The Wirausaha Merdeka program provides opportunities for students to create and develop innovation-based businesses. One proposed flagship product is Pudring, a donut-shaped pudding that combines unique design with delightful taste. This study aims to analyze innovation, marketing, and sustainability strategies in developing Pudring as a business opportunity. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research identifies key factors influencing the success of Pudring, including product design, the use of high-quality ingredients, and the utilization of digital media for promotion. The results show that Pudring’s innovative shape and flavor successfully attract consumers, while social media-based marketing strategies effectively expand market reach. Furthermore, the application of sustainability principles through the use of eco-friendly materials and recyclable packaging adds value to the product. With a combination of innovation, marketing, and sustainability, Pudring has great potential to thrive as a flagship product in the culinary industry. This article aims to serve as a reference for young entrepreneurs in creating creative and sustainable businesses.

Abstract

The increasing awareness of healthy eating habits among university students has created a demand for practical and nutritious food innovations. Gluten-free risoles made from mocaf (modified cassava flour) were introduced as a healthy snack alternative that is gluten-free and rich in benefits. This study aims to evaluate the acceptance and impact of consuming gluten-free risoles on students' healthy eating awareness during the market test and Demo Day of the Wirausaha Merdeka Kampus (WMK) program at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) Surabaya. The research methods included respondent surveys, product trials, and descriptive analysis of the collected data. Results indicated that 90% of respondents positively accepted the product, and 72% reported an increased awareness of the importance of healthy eating. The study concluded that gluten-free risoles made from mocaf are an effective culinary innovation to support the healthy lifestyles of students.

Abstract

JEcoware is an eco-friendly innovation in the form of biodegradable plates made from teak leaves and recycled cardboard. This product was developed to address the growing problem of plastic waste, particularly in the household and food industry sectors. This study employs a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the product in the market. The results indicate that the product has great potential in the eco-friendly market, despite challenges such as product durability and low public awareness. With well-directed strategies, such as technological innovation and collaboration with local farmers, JEcoware has the potential to enhance competitiveness and expand its market to the international level.

Abstract

This study examines the marketing strategy for Ubique (Ubi Crème Brulee), an innovative product based on sweet potatoes, using the 4P marketing mix approach (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). A qualitative case study method was employed through interviews, observations, and analysis of marketing materials. The findings reveal that product innovation combining local ingredients with international flavors, affordable premium pricing strategies, creative distribution channels such as Demo Day, and promotion through digital media and Word of Mouth were key success factors. These results highlight further development opportunities to expand market reach and enhance Ubique's competitiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the make to order system as a strategy for developing creative entrepreneurship in generation z. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a case study method, the data sources used are the first source from interviews and the second source from the literature. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observations, while the data analysis techniques used were thematic techniques. The results of this research are that there are two sub-discussions, namely the Implementation of the Make to Order (MTO) System in Creative Entrepreneurship and the Relevance of the MTO Strategy to the Characteristics of Generation Z, which in this case is explained in detail in the discussion section.

Abstract

Digital technology has created new opportunities in marketing, including live streaming, which enables real-time interaction between businesses and consumers. The research employs a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with the owner and manager of Hi.Prima. The findings indicate that live streaming effectively expands market reach, enhances consumer engagement, and drives purchasing decisions. Direct interaction during live streaming sessions allows consumers to obtain detailed product information, contributing to a 25-30% increase in sales. Additionally, consistency in execution and creativity in content presentation are critical factors in the success of this strategy. These findings reveal that live streaming is not only a promotional tool but also a strategy to build long-term relationships with customers. This study provides insights for business practitioners to leverage live streaming as an efficient and effective digital marketing strategy in an increasingly competitive market..

Abstract

The problem of environmental pollution due to plastic waste is a global issue that urgently needs to be addressed. This research aims to develop environmentally friendly plastics made from cassava peel waste, which is abundant in Indonesia, especially in the cassava-based food industry. Qualitative methods with an exploratory approach are used to understand the potential utilization of this waste. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with industry players, MSME managers, environmental experts, and field observations. Data analysis was carried out inductively, with data reduction and categorization based on themes. Data validity is maintained through triangulation of sources and methods. The research was conducted in Surabaya over a period of one month. The results show that the use of cassava peel waste supports the principles of sustainability and a circular economy, reducing dependence on chemical polymer-based plastics. The public welcomes this product as an environmentally friendly solution, although price is the main consideration. This research concludes that plastic made from cassava peel can reduce organic waste and open up new business opportunities for MSMEs, with successful implementation requiring technological support and government policies to accelerate implementation.

Abstract

Food waste is a significant issue in the food and beverage (F&B) industry, particularly in the hotel and restaurant sectors, which not only result in financial losses but also have a negative impact on the environment. Every year, the F&B industry contributes significantly to the global food waste figures, which amount to 1.3 billion tons. To address this problem, the author and the team of students from the Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha (PMW) 2024 at the University of 17 Agustus Surabaya developed WOLFIT APPS, a digital platform designed to help manage inventory, predict food demand, and optimize food waste management. WOLFIT APPS utilizes advanced technology to reduce raw material waste and minimize its environmental impact. This application focuses not only on operational efficiency but also on more responsible food waste management, allowing F&B business managers to recycle or donate leftover food. With WOLFIT APPS, it is expected that the F&B industry will transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly model while also providing positive impacts to society.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of marketing through Instagram content and Shopee's online customer reviews on consumer purchase decisions on Luxcrime products. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative type of research. The sample used was 96 respondents who had bought Luxcrime products, with incidental sampling techniques. Data was collected through an e-questionnaire and analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regressions, t-tests, and F-tests. These findings show that digital marketing strategies through social media and e-commerce can increase effectiveness in driving consumer decisions to buy products.
