Abstract

This study aims to find out the significant differences in student learning outcomes by using the Think Pair Share and Numbered Heads Together cooperative learning models. The research method used is quantitative with the type of experimental research. The location of this study was carried out at State Elementary School 1 Patuno, Wangi-wangi District, Wakatobi Regency. After the test, the average learning outcome of the first experimental class was 80, while in the second experimental class of 71.75, it was seen that the average score in the first experimental class was higher than the average score of the second experimental class. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be seen that there is a significant difference in the learning outcomes of students in Social Sciences taught using the Think Pair Share and Numbered Heads Together type cooperative learning model in grade IV of State Elementary School 1 Patuno, where Ha is accepted with a ttable >  tcount of 2.33008 > 1.72472 at the level  of α = 0.05 with a difference of 11.49%. The Think Pair Share model is more effective for Social Science learning than Numbered Heads Together, because it is able to increase student activity and interaction in the learning process. TPS is able to encourage more active student participation, increase interaction between students, and provide greater opportunities for students to share and develop understanding through discussion. Abstract

The Donggala woven fabric is characterized by a wide range of motif designs that are influenced by the community’s depictions of their own identity and the environment, including both nature and culture. This influence is evident in the designs’ substance, which showcases a fusion of the Kaili community’s culture and natural beauty in Central Sulawesi. The objective of this study is to comprehend the philosophical principles that are reflected in the motif designs of Donggala woven fabric and to offer a comprehensive account of the evolution of human thought within the culture that supports it. This study implemented a philosophical method that is supplemented by a historical method. Hermeneutics and van Peursen’s cultural philosophy are employed as the philosophical analysis method. The results indicate that the meanings embedded in the motif designs of Donggala woven fabric are representative of the evolution of the Kaili ethnic community’s perspective on themselves, others, the universe, and the dimension of religiosity. The motif patterns of Donggala woven fabric are designed from this perspective. The characteristics of Donggala woven fabric motif designs are influenced by mythical, ontological, and functional modes of thought from a philosophical perspective. Donggala woven fabric is distinguished by its consistent use of the fundamental motif of buya bomba or floral patterns. A diversity of decorative patterns that have been preserved to this day are represented by this fundamental motif. It demonstrates that the Kaili community is consistently focused on the natural environment as the foundation of their thought and behavior, which is reflected in the ecological characteristics of the Donggala woven fabric motif designs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of History teaching in grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Parigi Tengah, specifically regarding the teaching methods used by teachers with a background in Geography. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach conducted in a natural setting. The research subjects consisted of grade XI students, with supporting informants in the form of subject teachers and homeroom teachers. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that students' perceptions of History teachers' teaching methods vary. Some students considered the lecture method used to help understanding the material if delivered clearly, coherently, and communicatively. However, some other students felt that the method was less interesting if it was done monotonously and with minimal variation, thus decreasing interest and active learning. The use of learning media was also considered suboptimal, even though supporting facilities were available at the school. Factors that influence students' perceptions include the teacher's ability to deliver the material, the teacher's teaching style and attitude, the suitability of the method to the characteristics of the History material, students' interests and learning styles, and the learning environment. This study concludes that variations in methods and the use of learning media are very necessary to increase students' interest and understanding in learning History.
