Abstract

Vocational High Schools should be able to produce entrepreneurs who can create businesses independently for their lives. But in reality, there are some SMK alumni who haven't got a job after graduating from school. This can be avoided from the beginning of their education an interest in entrepreneurship is cultivated so that when they graduate, they can choose to become entrepreneurs. On the other hand, every human activity produces waste (garbage). Excessive waste production can cause problems for the environment. In addition to having an unpleasant smell, flies often infest garbage and can cause disease outbreaks, some of the waste that is abundant in the environment is fruit peel waste. The use of fruit peels in dosage forms is still little done, and product preparations in circulation are still very minimal to be found, even though the use of fruit peels is fairly easy to find, economical and practical. Based on the above conditions, it is necessary to have activities to increase the interest in entrepreneurship for SMK students in harmony with sustainable waste management. One of the alternative activities is Entrepreneurship Training by making organic soap from fruit peel waste. The methods used are identifying partner needs, designing activities, mentoring, implementing, and evaluating sustainability. The result of this training is that students practice directly making organic dish soap, it is hoped that the data will make alternative business products.

Abstract

Microsoft Word is also said to be a word processing program in the form of functional application software to facilitate writing or documents in various formats. Microsoft Word also has various types of features and artificial intelligence built into it which aim to make word processing easier and faster. Apart from that, in Microsoft Word there is also security which functions to protect the information contained in the document. Microsoft Word is equipped with various features and intelligence that aim to simplify and speed up word processing and maintain the security of information in documents. This research uses the library observation method with data from national and international scientific articles from 2011 to 2023, with databases from Google Scholar and DOAJ. Research results found that Microsoft Word features include: automatic script tracking, artificial intelligence, Track Changes, and information security. Intelligence built into Word, such as the Editor feature, provides editing suggestions and document improvements using machine learning. Track Changes records changes to documents, automated temporary reference management features such as Mendeley help and Reference Manager in quotes. Security features include new methods of using cryptography and steganography to protect document content.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Urban Farming merupakan aktifitas pertanian di kota yang melibatkan ketrampilan, keahlian, dan inovasi dalam budidaya tanaman bagi masyarakat, melalui pemanfaatan pekarangan, lahan sempit guna menambah gizi, meningkatkan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan keluarga. Tujuan: 1) Memberikan keterampilan dan Pengetahuan tentang Urban Farming dan teknik budidayanya 2) Memanfaatkan pekarangan dan lahan sempit 3) Memanfaatkan limbah plastik 4) Menambah pendapatan keluarga. Metode: 1) Pendidikan masyarakat dengan penyuluhan 2) IPTEKS dengan Menghasilkan produk Hidroponik 3) Pelatihan pembuatan hidroponik. Hasil:1) Penyuluhan, pelatihan dan pendampingan teknik budidaya hidroponik statis dan non statis 2) Pembuatan sistem: a) Teknik Vertikultur dengan menggunakan polibag b) Teknik hidroponik dengan metode DFT, Rakit Apung dan Vertikultur. Kesimpulan: telah melaksanakan kegiatan sistem hidroponik statis dan Non statis dengan metode Vertikultur, DFT (Deep Film Technique), Rakit Apung serta Teknik Non Hidroponik (Polibag) memanfaatkan limbah plastik untuk menabah pendapatan, meningkatkan keterampilan dan pengetahuan berbudidaya sayuran hidroponik.

Abstract

Introduction: Fruit peel is one of the natural ingredients that has not been optimally utilized and can be used as a raw material for making dish soap because it has antibiotic, antiseptic, and antibacterial content. This study aims to make dish soap using dragon fruit peel extract, papaya fruit, and banana fruit as natural ingredients and determine the quality characteristics of dish soap and business feasibility analysis. Methods: This research was conducted in two stages. The first stage selected the best fruit skin dish soap based on the quality characteristics and organoleptic tests on the product. The second stage then analyzed the business feasibility of the best fruit peel extract dish soap product. Results: The quality characteristics of dragon fruit peel, banana, and papaya skin extract dish soap with pH test parameters, FFA content, and free alkali content are in accordance with SNI standards, but the viscosity test shows that it is not suitable and has a value below SNI, and the results of the organoleptic test show that dragon fruit peel extract dish soap is preferred by panelists compared to banana and papaya skin extract soap with an average value of 4.3 color parameters; aroma 3.5; texture 3.6; and overall 4.1. Conclusion: Dragon fruit peel extract dish soap has the best organoleptic test value compared to banana and papaya peel dish soap. The results of the feasibility study analysis of the dragon fruit peel extract dish soap business have a BEP Unit value of 31, BEP Rupiah of IDR.462,185, ROI of 81.64%, and R / C of 1.82 where this business is considered feasible if developed.

Abstract

In recent years, the agricultural sector has experienced the Aging Farmer phenomenon in almost all over the world, both developed and developing countries. The Aging Farmer phenomenon is a condition where the number of young farmers is less than the number of old farmers. This study aims to analyze: (1) the perception of SMAN 3 Jember students towards the profession of farmer; (2) the interest of SMAN 3 Jember students towards the profession of farmer.; (3) the relationship between the perception of SMAN 3 Jember students and their interest in the profession of farmer; (4) efforts to reduce the Aging Farmer phenomenon in SMAN 3 Jember students. The study used primary and secondary data with a sample size of 51 male students and 27 female students in grade XII. Data were analyzed using the Likert Scale, Descriptive Analysis and Spearman Rank Correlation. The results of the study showed that: (1) SM N 3 Jember students have a good perception of the profession of farmer with an average score of 72.19%; (2) the interest of SMAN 3 Jember students towards the profession of farmer is categorized as good with an average score of 71.54%; (3) There is a strong and significant relationship between perception and students' interest in the farming profession (rs= 0.702); (4) one of the efforts to reduce the aging of farmers in the SMAN 3 student environment is the existence of farmer income that guarantees life as answered by 35.90% of students.

Abstract

Combine harvester merupakan alat panen yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi peroses panen, mengurangi biaya tenaga kerja, dan mengoptimalkan produktivitas pertanian. Namun, keputusan petani dalam mengadopsi mesin combine harvester dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor apa yang paling mempengaruhi minat petani dalam mengadopsi combine harvester diantara faktor usia, pendidikan, tingkat luas lahan, pengalaman usahatani, dan jumlah produksi di Desa Lojejer, Kecamatan Wuluhan, Kabupaten Jember. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan model regresi logistik biner untuk menganalisis faktor yang mempengaruhi minat petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang mempengaruhi secara nyata dan signifikan terhadap minat petani adalah luas lahan dan jumlah produksi. Sedangkan variabel lain seperti usia, tingkat pendidikan, dan pengalaman berusahatani tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap minat petani dalam memutuskan menggunakan mesin combine harvester sebagai alat panen. Kesimpulanya luas lahan dan jumlah produksi tinggi merupakan variabel yang menentukan keputusan petani dalam menggunakan mesin combine harvester

Abstract

Terdapat Agroindustri tahu di Desa Glagasan Petung yang belum memahami bahaya dari limbah cair tahu terhadap lingkungan. Agroindustri tersebut membuang limbah cair tahu ke sungai begitu saja. Padahal limbah cair tahu tersebut berpotensi dijadikan bahan baku untuk pembuatan mikroorganisme lokal. Mikroorganisme lokal yaitu gabungan mikrorganisme berasal dari sumber daya lokal, yang dimanfaatkan sebagai starter yang digunakan untuk tahap awal pada proses fermentasi dalam pembuatan pupuk organik cair atau POC. Dengan demikian pengabdian masyarakat edukasi pembuatan POC merupakan solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Metode dalam kegiatan ini dimulai dengan ceramah dan praktik pembuatan POC. Setelah itu, bentuk evaluasinya diberikan dengan cara pemberian kui-sioner baik sebelum maupun sesudah kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil evaluasi yang diberikan menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih baik dari sebelum pemaparan materi dan praktik pembuatan POC. Kegiatan tersebut berjalan dengan lancar dan para peserta sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan tersebut. Terjadi peningkatan pemahaman tentang manfaat dan bahaya dari limbah cair tahu serta peserta mengetahui proses pembuatan pupuk organik cair untuk menjadi salah satu alternatif apabila pupuk kimia susah untuk didapatkan.
