Abstract

In the digital era, technology-based financial recording applications have emerged as potential solutions; however, their use requires careful examination from an Islamic economic perspective to ensure compliance with Sharia principles. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the ijarah contract in the use of digital financial recording applications by MSMEs in Way Kanan Regency and to assess its role in enhancing financial transparency. The research employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data obtained through in-depth interviews with MSME owners and application providers, direct observation of application usage, and documentation of financial practices. The analysis combined the theoretical framework of the ijarah contract in Islamic jurisprudence with the concept of transparency in financial management. The findings indicate that digital applications are commonly used through subscription or service rental schemes, which reflect the nature of the ijarah contract, as the agreements are based on clear benefits without involving gharar or riba. Moreover, the applications improve the consistency of financial recording, simplify reporting, and reinforce transparency both internally and externally. These results suggest that ijarah-based digital applications can serve as strategic instruments in strengthening Sharia-compliant financial governance for MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image and product quality on the switching behavior of iPhone users, while incorporating Islamic values as an ethical framework in consumer behavior. The research background is based on the increasing dynamics of brand switching among younger generations, particularly in the highly competitive smartphone industry. The study employed a quantitative approach with data collected through non-participant observation and structured questionnaires, covering respondent demographics, brand image, product quality, and switching tendencies. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression to examine the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that brand image does not have a significant effect on switching behavior, while product quality emerges as the dominant factor influencing consumers’ decisions to remain loyal or switch to alternative brands. Simultaneously, brand image and product quality were found to exert a significant interactive effect on switching behavior, indicating their complementary roles in shaping consumer perceptions. From an Islamic perspective, the findings underscore that brand image and product quality should align with the principles of honesty, fairness, and compliance with halal–tayyib standards. The integration of functional and ethical aspects is thus essential not only for reducing switching behavior but also for fostering sustainable consumer loyalty.

Abstract

Management of aid funds for the MSME group is an important strategy in improving community welfare, especially in areas with a lower middle economic level. In an Islamic economic perspective, the management of these funds must refer to the principles of justice (al-adl), sustainability (istidama), benefit (maslahah), and be free from elements of usury, gharar and maisir. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of managing MSME aid funds in improving community welfare based on sharia principles. The results of the analysis show that sharia-based approaches, such as channeling funds through qard al-hasan (interest-free loans), mudharabah (profit sharing) or productive waqf schemes, can increase business sustainability and empower MSMEs. In addition, implementing transparency, financial education and business assistance are key factors in ensuring funds are used productively. Targeted management of funds also contributes to increasing income, creating jobs and strengthening social solidarity in society. However, there are several challenges such as inaccurate targets, misuse of funds, and a lack of understanding by MSME actors regarding sharia financial principles. To overcome this, an integrated management strategy is needed, involving sharia financial institutions, and the use of digital technology to monitor the allocation and use of funds in real-time.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which service quality influences the satisfaction of hajj pilgrims in Mesuji Regency during the 2022–2023 period, using the five SERVQUAL dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. A quantitative survey approach was employed, involving 46 pilgrims as respondents. Data analysis included validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression to evaluate both the simultaneous and partial effects of each service quality dimension. The findings demonstrate that service quality has a significant and substantial impact on pilgrims’ satisfaction. Simultaneously, all five dimensions significantly influence satisfaction, as indicated by an F-value of 20.160 with a p-value of 0.000. The model’s coefficient of determination (R² = 0.716) indicates that 71.6% of the variance in satisfaction is explained by the service quality variables. Partially, the reliability and empathy dimensions are the most influential predictors, revealing that accuracy, procedural consistency, and personalized attention are the aspects most strongly perceived by pilgrims in enhancing their satisfaction. Meanwhile, responsiveness, assurance, and tangibles also contribute to satisfaction but to a lesser degree. These findings highlight the need to prioritize improvements in reliability and empathy to strengthen the overall quality of hajj service delivery.
