Abstract

The goal of this study was to assess students' procedural text writing skills. This study was conducted at MAS Teladan Ujung Kubu. One month was allotted for this study's duration. This study used a descriptive, quantitative research design. Random sampling was the technique used to collect the sample. The four classes of grade X pupils that made up the research population were all of them. There were 159 pupils in all, 40 students in each of the three classes and 39 students in the single class. The researcher selected X-4, including 39 pupils, as the research sample because this study used descriptive quantitative methods. A test was one of the research's instruments. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low vocabulary mastery of students at SMA Negeri 1 Kisaran in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. Although various techniques and approaches have been applied, students' abilities are still low. To overcome this problem, teachers need to find innovative teaching methods, such as utilizing technology through smartphone applications. This research was carried out from October to November 2024, involving 20 grade XI students. Data was collected through observation and tests, with a research design in the form of Classroom Action Research (PTK) which aims to solve problems and improve learning. The Quizlet application is used as a tool in technology-based learning. The results of the study showed an increase in student comprehension scores of 65.5% in Cycle I and 80% in Cycle II. Data analysis from Cycle II showed a significant improvement compared to the pretest in Cycle I, with all subjects achieving a minimum completeness score. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the Quizlet application is effective in improving students' vocabulary mastery. However, the improvement requires continuous adjustment of learning strategies, not just in one meeting

Abstract

Abstract: This community service activity aims to implement inclusive education through the use of digital flashcard-based learning media for children with special needs at the Osakali Private Special Needs School, Asahan Regency. The background to this activity stems from the need for more interactive, interesting, and adaptive learning media for the learning characteristics of students with special needs, such as children with intellectual disabilities and autism. The implementation method includes initial observation, training for teachers and educators, and assistance in using application-based digital flashcard media. This media is designed with simple visuals, supporting audio, and content that is adjusted to the SLB curriculum. The results of the activity show that the use of digital flashcard media increases student participation and understanding in the learning process, and makes it easier for teachers to deliver material more effectively. This activity also provides an increase in teacher competence in the use of inclusive educational technology. It is hoped that this implementation will be one of the concrete solutions in supporting friendly and adaptive learning for children with special needs in the SLB environment. Keywords: Inclusive, Flashcards, ABK Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan pendidikan inklusif melalui pemanfaatan media pembelajaran flashcard berbasis digital bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus di SLB Swasta Osakali, Kabupaten Asahan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini berangkat dari kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, menarik, dan adaptif terhadap karakteristik belajar siswa berkebutuhan khusus, seperti anak dengan hambatan intelektual dan autisme. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi observasi awal, pelatihan guru dan tenaga pendidik, serta pendampingan dalam penggunaan media flashcard digital berbasis aplikasi. Media ini dirancang dengan visual yang sederhana, audio pendukung, dan konten yang disesuaikan dengan kurikulum SLB. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media flashcard digital meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemahaman siswa dalam proses belajar, serta mempermudah guru dalam menyampaikan materi secara lebih efektif. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi pendidikan inklusif. Diharapkan implementasi ini menjadi salah satu solusi konkret dalam mendukung pembelajaran yang ramah dan adaptif bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus di lingkungan SLB. Kata kunci: Inklusif, Flashcards, ABK

Abstract

Abstract: This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to provide students with learning experiences about and the utilization of empty spaces inside and outside the classroom with an ecopedagogy nuance. This activity uses quantitative descriptions. This approach uses the pretest-posttest control group design method. Data collection uses pretest and posttest with 20 multiple-choice questions. Multiple-choice questions are analyzed to find the average value of each test used. The analysis uses SPSS Version 16.0. Based on the results of the analysis, the average value of the pretest for understanding ecopedagogy was 68, the utilization of empty space was 76, while the average value of the posttest for understanding ecopedagogy was 89, and the utilization of empty space was 92, so it can be concluded that there is a student learning experience after the treatment. Therefore, the utilization of ecopedagogy-themed classrooms can be implemented in learning and teaching activities for the future.Keyword: ecopedagogy, empty space, utilization  Abstrak: Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman belajar kepada mahasiswa tentang dan pemanfaatan ruang kosong dalam dan luar kelas bernuansa ecopedagogy. Kegiatan ini menggunakan deskripsi kuantitatif. Pendekatan ini meggunakan metode prettest-posttest control group design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan prestest dan posttest dengan pemberian soal berbentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 puluh soal. Soal dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dianalisa untuk mencari nilai rata-rata tiap tes yang digunakan. Penganalisaan menggunakan SPSS Versi 16.0. Berdasarkan pada hasil penganalisaan ditemukan nilai rata-rata pada pretest untuk pemahaman ecopedagogy adalah 68, pemanfaatan ruang kosong 76, sedangkan dan nilai rata-rata posttest untuk pemahaman ecopedagogy adalah 89, dan pemanfaatan ruang kosong adalah 92, sehingga dapat disimpulakan bahwa terdapat pengalaman belajar mahasiswa setelah dilakukan perlakukan. Oleh karena itu, pemanfaatan ruang kelas bernuansa ecopedagogy dapat diimplementasikan dalam kegiatan belajar dan mengajar untuk waktu yang akan datang.

Abstract

Indikasi semangat kerja pegawai yang ada pada lingkungan Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Pertambangan Kabupaten Batubara belum seperti diharapkan. Masih banyak terkendala dalam melaksanakan tugas dan pegawai belum bisa bekerja secara maksimal. Hal ini terlihat dari kemampuan pegawai yang tidak mampu menyelesaikan pekerjaan dengan tepat waktu, kurang teliti dalam bekerja, kurang memahami pekerjaan yang diberikan atasan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah teori manajemen organisasi dan sumber daya manusia dengan lebih berfokus pada faktor lingkungan kerja, motivasi dan semangat kerja yang menjadi variabel-variabel dalam penelitian ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan survey. jenis penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dan sifat penelitian adalah penjelasan. Metode pengumpulan data adalah dengan wawancara, kuesioner dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara serempak terdapat pengaruh sangat signifikan antara lingkungan kerja dan motivasi terhadap semangat kerja pegawai pada Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Pertambangan Kabupaten Batubara dan secara parsial menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara lingkungan kerja dan motivasi terhadap semangat kerja pegawai pada Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Pertambangan Kabupaten Batubara dan secara parsial pengaruh yang paling dominan terhadap semangat kerja pegawai adalah lingkungan kerja. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian, secara serempak dan parsial lingkungan kerja dan motivasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap semangat kerja pegawai pada Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Pertambangan Kabupaten Batubara. Untuk lebih meningkatkan semangat kerja pegawai, agar setiap pegawai dapat lebih meningkatkan motivasi dalam berkerja untuk meningkatkan semangat kerja dari pegawainya.
