Abstract

Abstract

Background: Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) was a form of complaints that occur in muscles, bones, joints, ligaments and tendons. Globally, musculoskeletal disorders were the single largest cause of work-related health complaints with more than 33% of all new diseases reported. Risk factors that contribute to caused MSDs were social factors. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between social factors related to the risk of MSDs and their effect on changes in cervical posture.Subjects dan Method: This was a cross-sectional study. A sample of 32 were selected for this study with. The sampling technique used was total sampling according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study was conducted online through the google-form application by respondents in Surakarta, Central Java from March 2021 to May 2021. The dependent variable was changes in cervical posture. The independent variable was the respondent's characteristics such as work environment and work posture. The data analysis technique used Chi Square test. Results: The results of the analysis using the Chi Square test showed that there was a relationship between work duration and work risk factors with OR= 9.00; 95%CI= 1.72 to 46.9; p=0.010. Based on these results, it can be interpreted that workers with working duration >7 hours per day are 9 times more likely to have a high risk injury risk factor compared to workers who work <7 hours a day. The results of the analysis with the Chi Square test showed that there was a relationship between risk factors for injury and a high risk work environment with forward head posture with OR= 20.00; 95%CI= 2.11 to 189; p=0.003). Workers with risk factors for injury and a high risk work environment are 20 times more likely to experience forward head posture compared to workers with risk factors for injury and a risky work environment. Conclusion: There is a relationship between duration of work with work risk factors, there is a relationship between environmental factors and risk factors for injury and there is a relationship between risk factors for injury and a high-risk work environment with forward head posture. Keywords: pandemic era, musculosceletal disorders, cervical posture change.Correspondence:

Abstract

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is the most common vascular disease in society. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2021, the prevalence is 1.28 billion people with hypertension aged 30-79 years. The elderly is the age limit that is most vulnerable to suffering from hypertension. Hypertension Gymnastics is an appropriate non-pharmacological treatment for the elderly because the movements tend to be slow but show significant results. Objective: To know the results of the implementation of Hypertension Gymnastics on changes in blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension. Method: This application uses a method in the form of a case study with a sample of two respondents in Dukuh Tegalsari, rt.002/000, Bendungan, Kedawung, Sragen, each of whom suffers from mild hypertension. Results: The management of hypertension in the elderly with Hypertension Gymnastics, which was given twice a week for 30 minutes and carried out for a total of four weeks, decreased in the first respondent by a decrease in systolic by 22 and a decrease in diastolic by 14, while in the second respondent, there was a decrease in systolic by 23 and a diastolic decrease of 13 in the normotensive category. Conclusion: Hypertension Gymnastics in the elderly can reduce blood pressure in elderly with hypertension.

Abstract

The Emergency Unit (ER) is a part of the hospital that provides rapid treatment for patients according to the severity of their condition. Response time is the speed of the medical team in the ER in treating patients, starting from the moment the patient arrives until medical action is given. Fast and precise response time can reduce the complications that can arise and the patient's cost burden. The number of patients and the number of nurses that are not comparable can affect the response time of nurses. Research observing and comparing response times is still very limited. This study aims to determine the difference in service response time in the ER in two hospitals with second-level health facilities. This type of research is quantitative using a descriptive comparative approach. The research method uses observation and questionnaire methods. Data collection directly using the stopwhatt tool. Sampling was taken using the Accidental sampling technique. Data analysis used the difference between two means test with Mann-Whitney. Observations were carried out on nurses in the emergency room totaling 52 observations in each hospital for three months. The results of the analysis show a value of P = 0.688, where this probability value is more than 0.05, so the hypothesis fails to be rejected, so it can be concluded that statistically there is no significant difference in the Response Time of nurses in the two Emergency Units. Nurses must provide a response time according to the regulations set by the Ministry of Health, namely less than five minutes.
