Abstract

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, educators were tasked with scouting out fresh approaches to teaching math. In addition, today's classrooms call for an emphasis on student-centered instruction that fosters the kinds of 21st-century talents that employers need. Abilities like critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication are not yet optimally implemented in the new normal or post-pandemic age. This is the case because students' study habits could not be optimized as they transitioned from online and only at-home study to full-fledged schoolwork. Even in a distance learning setting, however, it is expected that these skills will continue to be developed and refined. Teachers can implement methods like project-based learning to help pupils acquire these abilities. This volunteer project has as its overarching goal the enhancement of educator competence in the pursuit of creating novel and engaging curricula for the general populace in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. It is envisaged that teachers at partner schools will benefit from this training and mentorship activity for project-based learning to better plan and execute such activities. Mentoring, observing, and role-playing are all components of this service. The teacher's high level of engagement in this activity is indicative of her dedication to professional development. Educators believe they grow professionally as a result of their work with project-based learning. Teachers have found success in developing project-based learning plans and implementing them in mentoring activities. After this event, similar events will be held every month, and mentorship will be provided to help teachers become more proficient in both project learning design and implementation

Abstract

A major volcanic eruption in May 2006 near a gas drilling site in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, continued to emit toxic substances, including the dangerous chemical phenol. Phenols, which are found in oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, paint, and electronics, can cause human skin, eye, and mucous membrane irritation if exposed. The impact of the Lapindo mudflow has been detrimental to the economy, society, and ecology, including damage to agricultural land, disruption of livelihoods, and business closures. This research aims to identify effective disaster recovery and mitigation strategies in dealing with toxic mudflows. Authorities have planned to divert mud into the Porong River, convert the affected area into a tourist attraction, and use control pumps to deal with flooding. However, the collapse of the mud embankment caused public concern about flooding and loss of life. This study uses snowball sampling and phenomenology methods, focusing on residents around the Lapindo embankment area in Gempolsari Village. Data was collected through interviews, observation, and photo documentation. The research results show the importance of mitigation strategies that involve village halls to provide information and build residents' confidence in facing disasters. It is hoped that these findings will provide insights for the development of more effective disaster mitigation systems.

Abstract

Abstract

ABSTRACT The concept of the house is not only a physical form but is also developed to support the development and physical mental and social development of the family, starting from the materials used in the construction of the building, the arrangement of rooms and parts of the house that increase the level of health, the management of the waste generated, and the availability of a sanitation scope. The community service team reviewed the application of the healthy home concept in rural areas because there were aspects that were not well controlled and not maximized. In an effort to optimize the application of the healthy home concept, a strategic approach to the TP PKK was carried out to broaden horizons and maximize the program that has been implemented every year, namely surveys and assessments in each village. The approach is also carried out through evaluation and application of one of the requirements for a healthy house which is used as the first step in the RT scope area in RT3/RW3, Jatirejo Village, Ngampel District, Kendal Regency. Keywords: healty home, rural, social.
