Abstract

Generally, teaching and learning activities mostly rely on books, instructional materials provided by teachers, and written or verbal exercises. These learning approaches are monotonous. Given the progress of technology and the internet, it is necessary for educators to utilize technology-driven online learning platforms, such as myON applications. This will be achieved by employing qualitative research methodologies to investigate the students' experiences and perspectives on the utilization of the “myON” application for English learning. A Google Form questionnaire is utilized and distributed using the messaging platform Whatsapp. Data analysis include the utilization of narrative methodologies to effectively and accurately summarize and depict the outcomes of questionnaires, which are derived from the experiences of students. The study centered on students in the IX-B Grade of Al-Fityan High School in Medan Selayang, Sumatera Utara. Its objective was to examine the level of student engagement and enthusiasm in utilizing online learning tools, while also seeking to enhance accuracy through feedback obtained from questionnaires. The app received positive feedback from students in class IX B, who expressed satisfaction with its simple design and its positive influence on their English proficiency. While the majority experienced significant improvements in their writing, reading, listening, and grammatical skills, a few individuals indicated dissatisfaction, citing intricate explanations, high costs, and a perception of monotonous. Hence, it is imperative for the "myON" application to underscore the significance of this tool in the process of English language acquisition by showcasing improved functionalities and enhanced communication capabilities that correspond with user preferences.

Abstract

Merokok adalah perilaku yang sangat mudah dilihat dalam kehidupan sehari- hari. Pada saat ini rokok bukan saja dikonsumsi oleh orang dewasa akan tetapi remaja bahkan anak-anak. Banyak perokok aktif melakukan aktivitas merokoknya tidak mengenal tempat, terkhusus pada Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara. Walaupun sudah ada papan pengumuman tentang putusan rektor yang menyatakan tidak dilegalkannya aktivitas merokok pada kawasan kampus, namun tetap banyak masyarakat kampus yang tidak mematuhi putusan rektor tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui alasan mengapa masyarakat kampus melakukan aktivitas merokok pada kawasan dilarang merokok pada area kampus.

Abstract

Bullying merupakan fenomena sosial yang kompleks dan memiliki dampak luas terhadap individu maupun masyarakat. Perilaku ini melibatkan tindakan agresif berulang yang bertujuan untuk menyakiti atau merendahkan korban, baik secara fisik, verbal, psikologis, maupun melalui media digital (cyber Bullying). Dalam perspektif hukum pidana positif di Indonesia, Bullying dapat dikenakan sanksi berdasarkan Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) dan Undang-Undang Perlindungan Anak. Namun, hingga saat ini, belum ada regulasi khusus yang secara spesifik mengatur tentang Bullying. Dalam perspektif Islam, Bullying dikategorikan sebagai bentuk kezaliman (zulm), yang bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai syariat. Islam secara eksplisit melarang tindakan yang merugikan, menyakiti, atau merendahkan martabat individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai definisi Bullying dari perspektif ahli, hukum pidana positif, dan syariat Islam. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan yuridis normatif dan komparatif, kajian ini diharapkan mampu menawarkan solusi holistik untuk mencegah dan menangani Bullying secara efektif di masyarakat.

Abstract

The development of English-speaking skills among Thai EFL students remains challenging due to linguistic differences, rote-learning methods, and limited real-world practice. While technology-assisted learning is gaining attention, research rarely explores the integration of Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) with AI tools. This study examines the effectiveness of combining SRL with ELSA Speak AI to improve  speaking proficiency. Using Classroom Action Research (CAR), 30 sixth-grade students at Darul Muhmin Elementary School underwent a two-cycle intervention, with data collected through pre-tests, post-tests, interviews, and observations. Results show significant improvements in pronunciation, fluency, and confidence, with all students surpassing the minimum passing criteria. The study concludes that integrating SRL with AI fosters learner autonomy, engagement, and performance, demonstrating AI’s potential in EFL education.

Abstract

Echinodermata merupakan kelompok invertebrata laut yang memiliki sekitar 7.000 spesises yang tersebar diberbagai periaran di dunia dan memiliki peranan yang penting dalam ekosistem laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventrisasi jenis- jenis Echinodermata di Perairan Laut Seruway Sei Kuruk III, Aceh Tamiang. Metode observasi lapangan digunakan untuk pengumpulan spesimen, yang kemudian diidentifikasi berdasarkan ciri morfologi. Hasil penelitian menemukan keberadaan 3 kelas yang terdiri dari 4 ordo, 5 famili, genus dan spesies Echinodermata di lokasi penelitian, yaitu Asteroidea mencakup spesies ster Asterina pectinifera, Astropecten indicus, dan Luidia savignyi, Echinoidea Tripneustes gratilla, dan Holothuroidea Holothuria scabra. Faktor fisik kimia lingkungan peiaran laut Sei Kuruk III mendukung untuk kehidupan Echinodermata. Penelitian ini memberikan informasi dasar mengenai jenis Echinodermata di Perairan Laut Seruway.

Abstract

Purpose-The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the role played by women in corruption in Indonesia. Research Methodology/Design/Approach-This research uses a library research method sourced from books and journals related to women and anti-corruption prevention. Finding-The results of this study show that anti-corruption programs targeting women, such as Saya Perempuan Anticorruption (SPAK) effectively increase women's awareness and participation in anti-corruption campaigns. Utilizing empirical data and theories related to this research shows that women have a very strategic approach in recognizing and combating corruption. there are various aspects of women's participation in anti-corruption efforts, ranging from domestic roles as caregivers and friends to active participation in anti-corruption organizations within the civil society. Originality / Value-The study shows that gender disparity is an important factor in reducing corruption rates because higher gender disparities result in lower levels of corruption.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMadrasah Al-Hasanah menghadapi tantangan dalam pembinaan karakter Islami siswa, khususnya dalam literasi Qur’ani dan integrasi nilai agama dalam kegiatan belajar sehari-hari. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengimplementasikan Program Qur’anic Village untuk meningkatkan literasi Qur’ani, menumbuhkan karakter Islami, dan mengoptimalkan peran madrasah sebagai pusat pembinaan nilai Qur’ani. Program dilaksanakan selama satu bulan melalui tahapan koordinasi, perencanaan, implementasi, hingga monitoring dan evaluasi, dengan melibatkan mitra kegiatan yaitu Belmawa (Direktorat Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan), PKM Ormawa, Madrasah Al-Hasanah, tokoh masyarakat, serta Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. Subjek program adalah siswa madrasah berusia 7–10 tahun sebanyak 24 orang, didampingi 6 guru dan tokoh masyarakat setempat. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, lembar penilaian keterampilan Qur’ani, serta dokumentasi kegiatan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam karakter Islami siswa. Sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan konsistensi dalam membaca Al-Qur’an, perilaku sopan santun, serta kepedulian sosial. Respons guru, siswa, dan masyarakat terhadap program sangat positif, sementara elemen Qur’anic Village mulai diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan rutin madrasah. Program ini terbukti memberikan dampak jangka panjang dan berkelanjutan dalam pembentukan karakter Islami, serta meningkatkan kapasitas guru dan keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pendidikan. Kata kunci: Qur’anic Village; karakter Islami; literasi Qur’ani; pembinaan siswa; pendidikan keagamaan. ABSTRACTMadrasah Al-Hasanah faces challenges in fostering Islamic character among students, particularly in Qur’anic literacy and integrating religious values into daily learning activities. This community service program aims to implement the Qur’anic Village to enhance Qur’anic literacy, develop Islamic character, and optimize the role of the madrasah as a center for Qur’anic education. The program was carried out for one month through stages of coordination, planning, implementation, and monitoring-evaluation, involving key partners such as Belmawa (Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs), PKM Ormawa, Madrasah Al-Hasanah, community leaders, and Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. The participants included 24 students aged 7–10 years, accompanied by six teachers and local facilitators. Evaluation was conducted using observation, Qur’anic skill assessment sheets, and activity documentation. The results showed significant improvement in students’ Islamic character. Most students consistently read the Qur’an, demonstrated polite behavior, and social responsibility. Teachers, students, and the community responded positively, and elements of the Qur’anic Village have been integrated into routine madrasah activities. The program has proven to provide long-term sustainable impacts on character building while enhancing teacher capacity and community involvement in education. Keywords: Qur’anic Village; Islamic character; Qur’anic literacy; student development; religious education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kualitas butir soal pilihan majemuk pada materi teori pembentukan alam semesta di kelas X SMA. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah minimnya analisis mendalam terhadap butir-butir soal yang digunakan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran, sehingga berpotensi menurunkan efektivitas alat penilaian dalam mengukur pemahaman siswa secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada evaluasi validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh dari setiap butir soal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan analisis butir soal. Data diperoleh dari respons siswa terhadap soal-soal pilihan ganda, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik untuk mengukur aspek-aspek yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar butir soal memiliki validitas dan reliabilitas yang tinggi, tingkat kesukaran yang tergolong sedang, serta daya pembeda yang baik. Selain itu, pengecoh dalam soal berfungsi secara efektif dalam mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman mereka. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian yang dianalisis sudah cukup baik dalam mengukur pemahaman konsep siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas evaluasi pembelajaran Geografi, khususnya dalam penyusunan soal pilihan ganda yang mampu merefleksikan kemampuan kognitif siswa secara lebih akurat dan adil.
