Abstract

Environmental literacy is knowledge, awareness, sensitivity and responsibility towards the environment. Someone who has good environmental knowledge, has a positive relationship with a good attitude towards his environment. This study aims to analyze environmental knowledge and environmental care attitudes of students through waste management at SMAN 6 Kota Tidore Kepulauan. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with pretest and posttest. The research sample was class X students, totaling 38 students. The instruments used were multiple choice questions totaling 30 questions and the environmental care attitude questionnaire totaling 13 items. The instruments were tested using validity and reliability tests. Quantitative data analysis used the t test with the SPSS application. The results showed that environmental knowledge had different scores between the pre-test and the post-test. The same thing also happened to students' attitudes towards the environment. Based on the significant difference test with the Wilcoxon test, the value of students' environmental knowledge was 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 was rejected. This means that environmental knowledge through waste management in class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Tidore Kepulauan City differs significantly between before and after the learning process. The same thing happened with students' attitudes towards the environment with the t-test paired sample test, the result of which was a sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, so H0 is rejected. This means that there are significant differences in students' attitudes towards the environment before and after learning through waste management in class X SMA Negeri 6 Kota Ternate.

Abstract

Self-confidence is very important, because success in the learning process can be influenced by self-confidence. Meanwhile, metacognitive awareness needs to be developed because it is an important key in achieving meaningful goals and longer retention of material understanding. This study aims to (1) identify and analyze the self-confidence of prospective biology teacher students in Ternate City, North Maluku; (2) Identify and analyze the metacognitive awareness of prospective biology teacher students in Ternate City, North Maluku. This study is a quantitative study with a descriptive method. The research instrument is a non-test instrument, namely a self-confidence questionnaire and a metacognitive awareness questionnaire that have been validated. The level of self-confidence of prospective biology teacher students is 20.00% in the high category; 13.33% is in the moderate category and 66.67% is in the low category. While the level of metacognitive awareness of prospective biology teacher students is 23.33% in the less category; 43.34% is in the sufficient category and 33.33% is in the good category. The conclusion of the study is that the self-confidence and metacognitive awareness scores of prospective biology teachers are still low.

Abstract

Background: Penerapan model pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dapat menyebabkan pembelajaran menjadi kurang menarik. Kegiatain ini bertujuan untuk emperkenalkan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Terintegrasi Kompetensi Global 4C-Scaffolding (Pj4CS) pada guru SMA Al-Khairaat Ternate dalam menfasilitasi peningkatan kompetensi global abad 21. Metode: Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SMA Al-Khairaat Ternate, Maluku Utara dengan 33 0rang peserta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dengan bantuan powerpoint, diskusi interaktif, tanya jawab, pengisian angket. Hasil:  90,90% memberikan respon bahwa kegiatan ini cukup menambah wawasan terkait model pembelajaran inovatif; 90,90% merespon kegiatan ini cukup menambah pemahaman terkait model Pj4CS; 100% merespon kegiatan ini bermanfaat dalam menunjang keefektifan pelaksanaan tugas profesionalisme guru; 96,96% merespon model Pj4CS cukup mengakomodasi kebutuhan belajar abad 21; 87,87% merespon model Pj4CS cukup praktis untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kesimpulan: Model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terintegrasi kompetensi global 4C-scaffolding (Pj4CS) dapat dikenal dengan baik pada guru SMA Al-Khairaat Ternate. Kegiatan PkM cukup menambah wawasan dan pemahaman terkait model Pj4CS.
