Abstract

Anemia gizi disebabkan oleh kekurangan zat gizi yang berperan dalam pembentukan hemoglobin, baik karena kekurangan konsumsi atau karena gangguan absorpsi. zat gizi yang bersangkutan adalah besi, protein, piridoksin (vitamin B6). Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk memberi pengetahuan pada remaja putri untuk pentingnya mengkonsumsi tablet penambah darah untuk persiapan hamil dan melahirkan pada saat mereka dewasa. Anemia dapat terjadi pada remaja akibat kurangnya asupan zat besi pada makanan yang dikonsumsi. Selain itu, pada remaja wanita yang mengalami menstrusi terjadi kekurangan darah yang menyebabkan wanita remaja rentan terkena anemia. Hal tersebut tentunya tidak baik dalam perkembangan para remaja karena dapat mengganggu tingkat produktifitas dalam belajar. Metode yang digunakan dengan cara ceramah dan demontrasi memberikan pengetahuan pentingnya mencegah anemia pada remaja dan mengkonsumsi tablet Fe pada remaja. Dalam melakukan pelaksanaan sosialisasi pengabdian dalam siswa Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Bengkulu kami mengayomi bagaimana mengetahui dampak begadang terutama pada anemia dan cara mencegah dan mengatasi gejala penyakit anemia.

Abstract

Antioksidan merupakan molekul yang mampu memperlambat atau mencegah proses oksidasi molekul lain. Oksidasi adalah reaksi kimia yang dapat menghasilkan radikal bebas, sehingga memicu reaksi berantai yang dapat merusak sel. Banyak penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tanaman rosella (Hibiscus sbdariffa L.) bermanfaat sebagai antioksidan. Salah satu senyawa yang berperan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas yang terkandung dalam rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) adalah kandungan senyawa fenolik. Kegiatan dilakukan di SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa siswi SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu yang dilakukan dengan beberapa rangkaian yang tentunya mengedukasi, diantara kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah sosialisasi, penyuluhan, pembagian teh bunga rosella, pembagian brosur. Hasil dari kegiatan ini diharapkan siswa siswi kelas XII MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu mengetahui pengaruh seduhan teh bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) untuk kesehatan terutama sebagai antioksidan, efek samping, dan cara pembuatan teh bunga rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.)

Abstract

Butterfly pea flower is a plant that has many pharmacological benefits, including antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, antidiabetic, anticancer, antihistamine and immunomodulator. The results of phytochemical screening of telang flower leaves are contain secondary metabolites is flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, quinones, polyphenolates, triterpenoids and steroids. The presence of flavonoid compounds in butterfly pea flowers allows for antioxidant activity. The aim of this research to determine the antioxidant activity of ethanol extract butterfly pea flower leaves (Clitoria ternate L.) using DPPH method. Simplicia butterfly pea flower leaves (Clitoria ternate L.) were extracted using maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The extract obtained was antioxidant test using spectrophotometry UV-VIS with a wavelength of 517 nm. The data obtained for the antioxidant activity value and expressed as IC50 (inhibition concentration) value which shows the concentration of antioxidant compound that inhibit 50% of DPPH radical activity. The results of the research show that ethanol extract of butterfly pea flowers leaves (Clitoria ternate L.) has the ability to act as a very strong antioxidant with an IC50 value of 6,056 ppm.

Abstract

Calamansi orange (Citrus microcarpa) is a type of small citrus fruit that comes from Southeast Asia and is widely cultivated in Indonesia. This fruit is known for its strong sour taste and distinctive fresh aroma. Its rich nutritional content, especially vitamin C, flavonoids and other phytochemical compounds, makes kalamansi orange have various health benefits. Several studies show that kalamansi oranges have high antioxidant activity so they are able to ward off free radicals and prevent cell damage. Apart from that, this fruit also has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory properties, and can help increase the body's endurance. In the traditional health sector, kalamansi oranges are often used to relieve coughs, sore throats, and help digestion and detoxify the body because of their high citric acid content. In the food sector, kalamansi orange is used as a natural flavoring ingredient in drinks, sauces and processed foods because it can add a fresh taste. Meanwhile, in the cosmetics and skin care industry, calamansi orange extract is used because of its astringent properties which help reduce excess oil and brighten the skin. With extensive benefits and high economic value, kalamansi oranges have great potential for further development in various industrial sectors.

Abstract

Instant beverages are an innovation in herbal products that are practical, easy to serve, and have a longer shelf life compared to liquid preparations, making them widely developed as health drinks. Black pudding leaves (Graptophyllum pictum L. Griff) are known to contain flavonoid compounds that act as antioxidants and have the potential to be processed into instant beverages. This study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant activity of instant pollen powder from black pudding leaves using the DPPH method and to determine the IC₅₀ value as an indicator of antioxidant strength. The preparations were made in three formulations with concentrations of 20%, 30%, and 50%. The results showed that all formulations exhibited very strong antioxidant activity, with IC₅₀ values of 16.827 ppm (F1), 16.375 ppm (F2), and 7.713 ppm (F3). All IC₅₀ values were within the very active category (IC₅₀ < 50 ppm). These findings indicate that instant pollen powder of black pudding leaves has great potential to be developed as a natural antioxidant source in the form of a functional herbal drink that is not only easy to consume but also beneficial in helping protect the body against free radical damage.
