Abstract

The design carried out by teachers can be done creatively and innovatively, or ideas existing in the teachers' minds can be expressed through a lesson plan. However, it must be guided by other instructional elements, such as curriculum, syllabus, and textbooks. Lesson plans vary in different subjects. Specifically, this activity will involve a service project in the form of a training on lesson plans for the Indonesian language subject. Various issues faced by respondents include teachers' uncertainty regarding the components of a lesson plan and their uncertainty about the connection between content and the appropriate teaching media or methods to be applied to that content. The implementation of the service project is carried out by providing socialization to Indonesian language teachers in grades VII, VIII, and IX at Kubung State Junior High School, using methods such as lectures, Q&A sessions, and lesson plan writing exercises. The socialization involves explaining and providing information about the role of teachers in the learning process, the instructional materials prepared by teachers, explaining the components of a lesson plan, elaborating on the Core Competencies and Basic Competencies in the Indonesian language subject, and conducting training for teachers by selecting one of the Basic Competencies in the Indonesian language subject to be designed or developed into a lesson plan. In this context, there are seven lecturers who act as speakers to present the material clearly to Indonesian language teachers.

Abstract

Good public service is the main responsibility in managing government and meeting all the needs of the community so that the services provided by government officials can be more satisfying to the community, a mindset change is needed from all government officials implementing public services as a first step in providing excellent service. because service is an activity carried out with full awareness and noble intentions to help others and provide the best to others as part of an effort to make himself and the institutions he manages become good in the eyes of the people served so as to create satisfaction.

Abstract

The Indonesian Language Spelling Guide (Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia, or PUEBI) is the official guideline for correct spelling in the Indonesian language. A banner is a medium used to convey specific information aimed at the general public. A billboard is a promotional medium used to announce events or activities related to the broader community. Printing plays a crucial role in ensuring that banners and billboards are free from spelling or grammatical errors. If spelling is incorrect, such errors can create a negative perception of both the client and the printing company, potentially damaging the professional image of both parties. This community engagement activity was carried out by providing training to employees of Roza 6 Suku printing company in Solok City. The training used lectures, Q&A, discussions, and practical exercises on punctuation in title writing on banners and billboards. Overall, participants were receptive to the material presented by the trainer, which offered an alternative solution to improve their knowledge and skills in spelling Indonesian correctly, with a focus on proper punctuation in banner and billboard writing. The application of PUEBI in printing also raises awareness of the importance of language quality in visual communication, demonstrating the social responsibility of the printing company to preserve language integrity.

Abstract

The Environmental Care Community (MPL) in Nagari Selayo, Kubung District, Solok Regency, is committed to realizing excellent service to the community through communication speech acts in serving the community. In this effort, the Environmental Care Community (MPL) educates the community about the importance of providing services to the community using good communication speech acts in dealing or carrying out activities. In communicating, the community needs to use three magic words, namely apologizing, asking for help, and saying thank you in carrying out activities at this institution. With a collaborative approach, the Environmental Care Community (MPL) also holds seminars and workshops that aim to increase public awareness when dealing or carrying out activities at this institution. Through this activity, it is hoped that the community and the Environmental Care Community (MPL) institution can understand the responsibility in maintaining good and correct speech or communication so that serving or dealing runs smoothly.
