Abstract

The narrative around the prophet Yusuf is widely regarded as the preeminent story due to its wealth of life teachings, including those pertinent to politics. It is noteworthy that an apostle who ascends to a position of authority in a powerful nation does so from a subordinate position rife with restrictions and capable of involvement in political affairs with the nubuwah attributes associated with such a post. In the range of non-ideal politics today, it is imperative to delve into the prophet Yusuf's political dimensions to provide a valuable resource for political scholars and professionals. The life narrative of the prophet Yusuf and the social dimensions that encompass it are inseparable; thus, this investigation will encompass, to the necessary extent, a variety of disciplines, including tafseer, law, social sciences, psychology, history, economics, management, epistemology, and political philosophy, which is the most prominent. Consequently, the objective of this paper is to expound upon the prophet Yusuf's political theory as elucidated in Surat Yusuf via the lens of multiple academic disciplines. This research is a literature review in which qualitative content analysis is utilized to analyze the data. The results of this study are: Initially, the prophet Yusuf's political career encountered obstacles at the level of family, community, and the center of state. Secondly, the prophet Yusuf's integrity and dedication to the truth, as well as his political acumen, knowledge, and wisdom (God). Furthermore, the stability of a nation is ensured by economic resilience and legal fairness.

Abstract

University-based Pesantren has a distinctive curriculum that develops and integrates the Pesantren system with its academic-university system. This means that the assessment at pesantren universities does not only apply to the academic side but also the boarding (kepesantrenan) side. If the academic side is assessed through the Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA)/Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK), what about the value of boarding school? We explore the Student Activity Assessment Credit Score (Angka Kredit Penilaian Aktifitas Mahasiswa (AKPAM)) system at Darussalam Gontor University. We designed the qualitative study using a grounded theory approach. We found that AKPAM can counted as a system designed to calculate the kepesantrenan scores of UNIDA students; which is one of the process systems in Integrative Human Resource Development (HRD) typical of UNIDA Gontor; as a pesantren-based university. Second, the AKPAM system is proven to be directly proportional to the HRD theory proposed by Richard Swanson. Third, pesantren-based universities have proven to be competitive in terms of education management in this era. We highlight that this study expands the novel HR management pattern in pesantren universities; as indigenous education.

Abstract

This article examines and compares Western and Islamic perspectives on work motivation. Western theories, such as those by Maslow, McGregor, and Herzberg, emphasize secular factors and do not account for worship as a motivation, whereas Islam views worship as the primary driver for work. This suggests that Islamic work motivation stems from a different worldview compared to Western models. The study, a literature review using content and comparative analysis, adopts a philosophical approach with worldview theory as its framework. It consists of two stages: de-westernization, which reviews Western motivation theories, and integration, comparing these theories with Islamic concepts. The findings reveal that Western theories are rooted in secularism, humanism, materialism, and atheism, while Islamic work motivation is based on a non-secular worldview, with God at its center. These differing worldviews result in distinct motivational frameworks in Islam and the West. This study aims to enhance human capital management, particularly in diverse business organizations with heterogeneous workforces.

Abstract

Every country has a goal to create prosperity for the whole society. Islam has exemplified that religion is closely related to the state. The implication of this relationship between ritual and politics has a very close relationship, it could be inseparable. But over time, the opinion emerged that religion and state should not unite, they argued that this separation could become active with modernization since religion can focus on spiritual affairs and political affairs can specifically regulate society. However, in practice it turns out that separation like a secular state has some significant impact on society. Therefore this article seeks to examine these problems through a literature review that is descriptive-analytical with an interdisciplinary approach, the analysis used is inductive analysis and content analysis. The results of this study show that the conception of a secular state aimed at making a Muslim better, seems to be a mere utopia. The impact of a secular state such as racism and capitalism is very detrimental to the people who are excluded. Ideologically and practically, the conception of a secular state is incompatible with Islamic values, because the Prophet Muhammad did not only teach religious affairs, but also taught political issues, even the Prophet Muhammad gave an example as a politician while in Medina and became a state administrator.

Abstract

Pada tanggal 21 November 2022, khususnya Kabupaten Cianjur, Propinsi Jawa Barat, diguncang oleh gempa bumi dengan magnitudo (M) 5,6 dan pusat gempa berada 10 KM barat daya. Data yang dilansir Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) November 2022 pukul 17.00 WIB, gempabumi ini menyebabkan 268 orang tewas, 42 hilang dan 21 orang luka-luka, 10047 penduduk mengungsi, dan lebih dari 2.000 rumah mengalami kerusakan. Wilayah Kabupaten Cianjur sesungguhnya sudah diketahui memiliki potensi bencana sebagaimana hasil penelitian Irsyam Dkk (2017) menyebutkan bahwa wilayah Kabupaten Cianjur memiliki Sesar Cimandiri yang menjadi bagian dari segmen Rajamandala. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif yang menggunakan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara wawancara dan observasi lapangan. pada penanganan bencana gempabumi Cianjur 2022 belum menerapkan Sustainable Development Goals sehingga hanya terbatas pada penanganan bencana yang bersifat jangka pendek dan menengah. Maka diperlukan proses implementasi nilai-nilai SDGs dengan bentuk peningkatan kapasitas melalui pendidikan kebencanaan.
