Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the village government in organizing health services in Sampulungan Village. In addition, this study also aims to determine the challenges faced by the village government and the community in the service process and accessibility to health facilities. Using a qualitative research approach with a case study strategy. The results of this study indicate that the role of the village government in health services is still very minimal, as seen from the unavailability of health centres and inadequate health facilities. The village government also lacks initiative in facilitating health services because it is hampered by the lack of participation in voicing the aspirations of the community in the village. In addition, the community's view of the role of government in the field of services, especially health, is greatly influenced by the low level of community knowledge about participation at the village apparatus level. This study also found several obstacles faced by the village government, especially in Sampulungan Village, in improving the quality of services, including social construction, power dominance, and the non-involvement of village officials in decision-making at the central and district levels. Therefore, it is important to provide education about bureaucracy in order to improve the understanding of the community and the village government of Sampulungan District regarding the quality of health services.

Abstract

Enhancing ecological awareness among students is a crucial step towards achieving a sustainable environment. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pinrang about the importance of ecological awareness and how they can contribute to environmental preservation. Through a series of structured activities including pre-tests, interactive discussions, and post-tests, students are provided with an in-depth understanding of critical environmental issues such as climate change, natural resource conservation, and waste management. The program also includes practical workshops that allow students to apply their knowledge in small-scale environmental projects within the school environment. The results of this activity are expected to foster environmental awareness and responsibility among students, as well as encourage them to implement sustainable practices in their daily lives. Program evaluation shows a significant improvement in students' understanding and positive attitudes towards environmental conservation efforts. There is evidence of behavior changes supporting sustainability among the majority of participants. Furthermore, student initiatives in proposing and leading environmental projects at school have increased substantially after the program. Abstract

This study aims to examine authoritarian parenting patterns and their implications for students' social identities. Using a qualitative approach with a case study strategy, this study involved six students from families who experienced authoritarian parenting. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and thematic analysis using Max Weber's theory of social action and Pierre Bourdieu's concepts of habitus and symbolic domination. The results of the study show that authoritarian parenting patterns do not only stem from religious values and the social status of parents, but are also passed down through family social structures that are not reflective of changing times. Parenting is carried out through restrictions on freedom of expression, symbolic supervision, and the use of cultural values such as siri na pacce as a moral framework. However, in some cases, these noble values are interpreted rigidly, thereby limiting the space for dialogue between parents and children. The implications include symbolic alienation, identity crisis, and the emergence of manipulative behavior and symbolic resistance outside the home. This study emphasizes the importance of a more dialogical and adaptive parenting approach in modern social dynamics.

Abstract

Background: Urban public spaces are essential for the social participation of persons with disabilities. However, accessibility is often hampered, not just a matter of facilities, but of the biopolitical forces that construct "disability" and control the body and subjectivity. This research aims to explain why accessibility is still limited despite inclusive policies. Methods: A systematic review of 28 scientific articles was conducted. The study selection process involves rigorous screening (inclusion/exclusion) after a comprehensive search. Data were extracted and categorized into three main themes namely biopolitics and disability body control, multiple stigma and intersectional discrimination, and accessibility and public space. Manuscripts are dominated by qualitative studies and literature reviews, with most of the publications current (2021-2025). Results: Multidimensional discrimination was identified, including social exclusion, barriers to access to services, structural/policy discrimination, and bullying. Stigma (external and internal) is the root of the problem, affecting autonomy and quality of life. Biopolitical control manifests itself in the institutional's determination of norm-based access and the system's slow response to the needs of people with disabilities. Conclusion: The limitations of accessibility, despite the existence of policies, are caused by policy failures to dismantle deep stigmas, structural discrimination, and biopolitical controls. Existing policies tend to only touch the surface, do not change the construction of "flaws" or empower subjectivity fundamentally. A comprehensive approach that addresses biopolitical barriers and stigma is absolutely necessary to achieve true inclusion.
