Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the term "Entrepreneurial Motivation," reflecting the extensive scholarly interest in the determinants that incite individuals to undertake entrepreneurial endeavors. Utilizing a dataset from reputable databases such as Scopus, this research elucidates the evolution of entrepreneurial motivation as a concept and its significance in the entrepreneurship literature. We investigate key thematic clusters, seminal works, influential authors, and collaboration patterns in the field. Additionally, we explore publication trends in leading journals and identify research lacunae and emerging trends that signal future scholarly directions. Our findings indicate a robust engagement with factors such as educational background, personal traits, and socio-economic impacts, including the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on entrepreneurial activity. The study also highlights potential new avenues for research in areas that have yet to become prominent within the existing literature, such as the role of risk perception, necessity entrepreneurship, passion, and social responsibility in shaping entrepreneurial motivation. This analysis provides a detailed landscape of the field, contributing to a more nuanced understanding of the dynamic forces that foster and sustain entrepreneurial motivation in an ever-evolving global economy.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development strategies of inclusive ecotourism and its role in promoting social transformation and improving community welfare in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi. A qualitative case study design was applied, involving 20 informants comprising tourism entrepreneurs, village officials, community leaders, youth, and NGO representatives. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews (45–90 minutes each), participatory observation at tourist sites, and analysis of 12 policy and program documents. The data were analyzed thematically using Miles and Huberman’s framework, with triangulation of sources and member checking to ensure validity. The results indicate that inclusive ecotourism strategies rely on optimizing local natural and cultural potential (e.g., waterfalls, forests, traditional cuisine), governance through Pokdarwis and village cooperatives, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. These practices have led to income diversification—household earnings from tourism increased by an estimated 20–35%—strengthened cultural identity, and improved social cohesion measured through greater youth and women’s participation. The main challenges remain limited infrastructure, low tourism literacy, and internal conflicts due to unclear benefit-sharing mechanisms. On the other hand, opportunities include growing youth involvement (over 40% of active actors in new initiatives), government support programs, and integration with the regional tourism sector. The findings imply that inclusive, community-based ecotourism can serve as a sustainable development model when supported by policy interventions in infrastructure, capacity building, and equitable governance. This study contributes theoretically by linking ecotourism to social transformation and practically by offering policy recommendations for rural tourism development.

Abstract

This study explores community-based digital library services in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, focusing on how participatory design and user needs mapping shape innovation and impact. Using a qualitative case study with 15 informant. data were collected gathered through observation, semi-structured interviews and document analysis. Findings show that digital libraries have introduced service innovations such as online portals, mobile applications, and digitized local knowledge developed through active user participation and periodic evaluation. The services are used  for academic, research, and community literacy purpose but challenges persist, including infrastructure constraints, low digital literacy, and limited human resources. Despite these constraints, the services foster improved access to information, cultural preservation, and stronger community collaboration. The novelty of this study lies in integrating Community-Based Design and Information Needs Assessment to highlight how rural digital libraries can become inclusive, innovative, and sustainable. Practical implications and directions for further research are also discussed to encourage the development of more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable digital library services.
