Abstract

Woman menopause in hypertension is often associated with increase vascularity and physiological changes during menopause. This study aims to examine the effect of celery leaf stew on blood pressure levels in menopausal woman in hypertension. This study was a quasy experiment with pretest-posttest control group design, conducted in the Sidodadi Village District Beringin, Deli Serdang on Januari to March 2020. There were 28 participants selected using purposive sampling, with 14 assigned in the experimental and control group. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and unpaired t-test. There were statistically significance difference of blood pressure levels before and after intervention in the experiment group with p value sitolic level 0.000 dan diastolic level 0.001 (<0.05). Celery leaf stew has a significant effect in reducing blood pressure level in menopausal woman in hypertension. This intervention could be applied as an alternative theraphy in treating menopausal woman in hypertension.

Abstract

Calcium is an important supplement that is useful to supply calcium needs of pregnant women. Calcium is given by midwife special health workers to all pregnant women to support the health of mothers and babies. This free calcium tablet is often forgotten and avoided by health workers whether or not consumed properly by pregnant women. This study aims to see if the influence of calcium tablets on the decrease in blood pressure of pregnant women who have one of the criteria of high risk of hypertension, including primigravida, obesity, pregnancy history with hypertension or family with a history of hypertension, extreme age of pregnant women and twin pregnancies. Research place in Payalombang Public Health Center in Payalombang Subdistrict, Tebing Tinggi City with quasy experiment method and prospective cohort. The study subjects consisted of 19 mothers who were given calcium with help and 20 pregnant women who were not given calcium, according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data characteristics used using a questionnaire. To assess the outcome using an observation sheet and a calibrated blood pressure gauge) get it twice before and after the intervention. Data analysis using, Paired T Test, Independent T-Mann-Whitney U Test. The results of the study address, a sample study of changes in systole (p = 0.032) and diastole (p = 0.015) significant (p> 0.05) value even though it means the difference between before and the difference rates. Conclusion : Calcium tablets have a significant effect on hypertension of pregnant women

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pre menopause is a physiological condition characterized by irregular menstruation. Symptoms that often arise such as hot flush, night sweats, restlessness, easy fatigue, pain during intercourse. Overcoming complaints of pre-menopausal non-pharmacological can be done with soy milk. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of soymilk in dealing with pre-menopausal complaints at the Midwife Maiharti Clinic, West Range 2020. This study used a quantitative method, with a quasi-experimental design with a control time series design. The study population was pre-menopausal mothers who experienced pre-menopausal symptoms at the Midwife Maiharti Clinic, West Range. The sample selection used purposive sampling as many as 18 people, 9 people were given intervention and 9 people as controls. The results of the study using Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained results for groups that were given pre and post p-value interventions 0.002 <0.05. The results of the study using Wilcoxon sign rank test obtained results for the control p-value 0.009 <0.05. The conclusion is that there are differences in the two groups after being given soy milk in dealing with pre-menopausal complaints

Abstract

the baby and affects the biological health of both mother and baby. However, the breastfeeding process could be hampered due to problems, one of which was mastitis. Mastitis occured due to the narrowing of the lactiferous ducts in the breast and the mother may have flat, sunken or immersed nipples. So that the breasts become swollen, painful when pressed so that the mother feels breast discomfort. The impact of mastitis greatly affected the health of both mother and baby. The mother would felt pain during breastfeeding so that she could experience high fever. Whereas in infants the need for breast milk was not optimal from the content of the milk. One of the efforts that could be done to overcome the occurrence of mastitis in nursing mothers was by applying a potato compress. This study aimed to determined the effect of potato compresses on non-infectious mastitis in nursing mothers. The research method used was pre-experiment (quasi-experimental) using the one group pre-test-post test technique. The population of this study were breastfeeding mothers with non-infectious mastitis with a sample size of 10 people with a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that using the Paired Sample T-Test analysis test obtained a p-value of 0.000 <α = 0.05, it can be concluded that there was an effect of Potato Compress on Non-Infectious Mastitis in Breastfeeding Mothers. It is recommended that health workers provide information for breastfeeding mothers about potato compresses to treat non-infectious mastitis. Keywords: Potato compress; non-infectious mastitis.

Abstract

Changes in blood pressure are normal during pregnancy. Because, the hormone progesterone which is produced during pregnancy, can relax the walls of blood vessels. Sagging walls of blood vessels, can reduce blood pressure in the first trimester and second trimester of pregnancy. This condition can cause dizziness when sitting or standing suddenly. Normal blood pressure values ​​in pregnant women do not differ from general conditions, which is 120/80 mmHg. If the blood pressure is recorded below 90/60 mmHg, this can indicate a blood pressure less. This research aims to To find out how the effectiveness of iron tablets on changes in blood pressure of pregnant women at Rosni Alizar Pratama Clinic, Medan Timur District, Deli Serdang Regency in 2020. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest with control group approach. The study population was all pregnant women who did ANC examination at Rosni Alizar Pratama Clinic as many as 38 people. The sample selection using purposive sampling was calculated using the Slovin formula of 28 people. The results of the study used Wilcoxon test results obtained 0.157 and 1,000 > 0.05. It is expected that health workers on duty at the research site always measure vital signs for pregnant women during ANC visits. Abstract

Measles and rubella is infectious diseases caused by measles virus and rubella transmitted through the respiratory tract. Measles and rubella highly contagious, and transmitted through splash sneezing or cough. Children who have never got measles and rubella immunization, or who have never had measles and rubella is the high risk of contracting the disiase.This study aims to know the factors related to the low coverage measles, rubella on toddler in the village of Simpang Tiga Pekan district Perbaungan district Serdang bedagai Year 2019. Research used in this study is deskritif quantitative by using the design of cross-sectional. Population in this study is around the mother that has a toddler 9 -59 months are in the village of Simpang Tiga Pekan. Sampling is done by techniques accidental sampling by the number of samles as much as 36 respondents. Research instruments by using the quetionnaire. Data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate with the chi-square test at level 95%, α = 5%. confidence. Analysis shows that there relationship knowledge mother by administering immunization MR (Measles, Rubella) with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level, that there relationship attitude mother by administering immunization MR with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level, that there relationship resources mother by administering immunization MR with 95% (α = 0,05) p value = 0,000 confidence level. Suuggested to mothers should always come at activities posyandu and do immunization regularly and active role in the activities of immunization and search for related information immunization in toddlers.

Abstract

Background: An increase in the volume of breast milk and baby weight is the hope of every mother during breastfeeding. The consistency and quality of breastfeeding is determined by a mother. Moringa leaves, which is a typical plant in Indonesia, have many benefits, especially to increase milk production and nutrition for infants and children in the growth process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of morinaga leaves in increasing the volume of breast milk and birth weigh of babies. Method:The design of this study was quasy eksperimental studies with purposive sampling with inclusion criteria. The sample in this study were all breastfeeding mothers on the first postpartum day as many as 30 people. In this study there were two groups, namely the control group and the intervention group. The instruments in this study were Moringa leaves, measuring cups, electric breast pumps, and baby scales and observation sheets. Data analysis used is paired and unpaired t-test. Result:The results showed that there was a difference between before and after the administration of Moringa leaves in the intervention group of 38.95 ml, while in the control group it was 16.1 ml. The baby's weight gain in the intervention group was 585 grams. Statistical results showed that giving Moringa leaves was effective on breast milk volume and infant weight with a significance value of p = 0.00 while in the control group there was a difference in the increase in breast milk volume with p = 0.000 but there was no significant difference in the baby weight variable with a value of p = 0.651. Conclusion: Moringa leaves infusion can be used as an alternative therapy to increase the volume of breast milk and baby weight in the breastfeeding process. Specialized health workers for midwives can assist mothers in educating postpartum mothers in consuming steeped Moringa leaves to increase breast milk and baby weight and support the success of exclusive breastfeeding

Abstract

Menstrual pain is a problem with interferes by women in every menstrual cycle. This can interfere with the activities of women such as dizziness, nausea, stomach cramps, and productivity of women. Several non-pharmacologic treatment can help reduce menstrual pain such as giving cinnamon and red ginger. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of cinnamon powder and red ginger to decrease menstruation in adolescents with primary dysmenorrhea. This type of research is a quasi-experimental type of time series design. The sample in this study were all first semester female students in the Nursing Study Program at the Lubuk Pakam Medistra Health Institute who experienced primary dysmenorrhea as many as 28 people. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. In this study there were two groups, namely the control group with the administration of ginger powder while the intervention group with the administration of cinnamon powder. The process was given an intervention for 3 days and the use of the research instrument to measure menstrual pain was the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Data analysis used independent t-test and Repeated Measured Anova test. The results showed that there was a difference in mean pain before and before cinnamon powder at 24 hours of intervention after (p<0.001) while red ginger drink powder showed no significant difference in mean pain before and before the intervention in the first 24 hours of intervention (p = 0.112). However, at 48 hours and 72 hours of intervention for the two groups, there was a significant difference in the decrease in mean menstrual pain in primary dysmenorrhea (p<0.001). Cinnamon drink powder is more effective than red ginger drink powder in reducing primary dysmenorrhea menstrual pain. Cinnamon and red ginger can be used as an effective non-pharmacological treatment intervention and obtained as a treatment for primary removal. Midwives can educate and apply the intervention of cinnamon and red ginger drinks to adolescents with primary dysmenorrhea.

Abstract

Pain during primary dysmenorrhea is a normal gynecological condition, but this condition is often detrimental to women who experience dysmenorrhea, including decreased quality of work, absence when experiencing primary dysmenorrhea and disruption of daily activities. One method that is safe and easy to obtain is by administering ginger and turmeric extract accompanied by acupressure to help reduce the intensity of menstrual pain and lower back pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of ginger turmeric extract and acupressure on the intensity of menstrual pain and low back pain in primary dysmenorrhea. This type of quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design carried out in the female dormitory of the Lubuk Pakam Medistra Health Institute. The sample in this study were 28 students in the first semester of the Faculty of Nursing who experienced primary dysmenorrhea using a random sample technique. In this study there were two groups, namely the intervention group and the control group. The instruments in this study were the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) to measure pain during menstruation, the Qswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire to measure low back pain, and an observation sheet. Data analysis using independent and dependent t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences in the intensity of menstrual pain and low back pain on the first and second days between the intervention group and the control group with p H1 = 0.003 and p H2 = 0.000 (menstrual pain) and p H1&2 = 0.000 (low back pain). . The percentage decrease in the intensity of menstrual pain with intervention was 66.81%, while the percentage decrease in low back pain was 35.29%. Giving turmeric ginger extract and acupressure therapy has been proven effective in reducing the intensity of menstrual pain and low back pain. Health workers can apply and educate this method to women who experience dysmenorrhea and can be used as learning material for pain management in midwifery education courses.

Abstract

Abstract Hypertension is a chronic disease that often results in complications for other organs. Based on the findings of recent evidence that giving celery leaf decoction can lower blood pressure. Health promotion activities through the provision of celery leaf stew can be used as an alternative in promoting early prevention and treatment of hypertension cases that often occur in menopausal women. The goal of this community service is to improve the quality of life of menopausal women by helping to lower blood pressure non-pharmacologically and reducing the side effects felt in women with hypertension. Celery leaves stew can be given once a day on a regular basis. The implementation of this community service lasted for 2 days at the Head Office of Sidodadi Ramunia Village, Beringin Deli Serdang District. This activity begins with conducting a rapid test for all respondents, followed by a blood pressure check before the promotion of the activity. On the second day of implementation, each respondent took blood pressure measurements to see the decrease in blood pressure for each respondent. The results of blood pressure examinations from 32 respondents showed a decrease in sysitolic blood pressure by 32 people (100%) and a decrease in diastolic blood pressure by 28 people (81.25%). Celery leaves decoction can be useful for hypertensive women to lower and control blood pressure. Keywords: health promotion, celery leaves, blood pressure, hypertension
