Abstract

The use of cognitive learning theory in the learning process in elementary schools, especially in Indonesian subjects that involve the use of learning methods and media that can stimulate students' cognitive development. One effective medium in this context is the flannel board. This study aims to describe the implications of cognitive learning theory in character development in elementary schools through Indonesian subjects. The method applied in this study is a qualitative research method that relies on a library research approach. Information is obtained through classroom observation, interaction with teachers, and evaluation of data from Indonesian learning materials presented through flannel boards. Cognitive learning theory, especially the concepts of reasoning, memory, and problem solving, became the basis of analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of flannel boards in developing character to stimulate the learning process of students. The results of this research show that the use of flannel boards in the learning process in elementary schools can make a positive contribution to students' cognitive development. Through the organization of structured and visual learning materials, flannel boards can improve students' memory capacity. In addition, the active interaction of students with the flannel board allows the development of reasoning and problem-solving abilities. In the context of implementing cognitive learning theory, teachers can utilize flannel boards as aids to present information concretely, facilitate knowledge construction, and encourage students' active participation in learning. The implications of this study provide the basis for the development of more effective learning strategies at the primary school level, by harnessing the potential of flannel boards as a learning medium that stimulates students' cognitive development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the form, structure, and strategy of instructional phrase usage by teachers in bilingual learning in elementary schools. The type of method used is descriptive qualitative research. The results show that teachers use instructional phrases in the form of simple imperative sentences, both in full English and mixed with Indonesian (code-mixing). The translanguaging strategy is the main approach used by teachers to adjust instructions to the students' level of understanding. Translanguaging is used in the form of bilingual repetition, meaning clarification, and context adjustment. This study concludes that the strategic use of instructional phrases in a bilingual context can improve students' understanding and engagement in learning.

Abstract

Program senam rutin merupakan salah satu bentuk kegiatan fisik yang diintegrasikan dalam lingkungan sekolah dasar untuk mendukung kebugaran jasmani, pembentukan karakter, serta meningkatkan konsentrasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap implementasi program senam rutin di SD Negeri Bringin 01. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program senam rutin di sekolah tersebut berlangsung dua kali seminggu dan melibatkan seluruh elemen sekolah. Respon guru terhadap program ini umumnya positif karena dinilai mampu meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan semangat belajar siswa. Siswa juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi, merasa senang dan lebih fokus setelah mengikuti kegiatan senam. Selain itu, program ini berdampak positif terhadap iklim sekolah, memperkuat hubungan sosial antar siswa dan guru, serta mendukung pembiasaan hidup sehat. Namun, terdapat kendala teknis seperti keterbatasan alat dan waktu yang perlu diperhatikan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa senam rutin memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk lingkungan sekolah yang sehat dan produktif, serta layak untuk terus dikembangkan sebagai bagian dari program pembiasaan dan penguatan karakter di sekolah dasar.
