Abstract

There are many definitions of the validity of the content but Haynes et al . (1995 ) managed to make an excellent definition so that each phrase of the definition is well described by him . From the description that he created , the author tries to apply it in the form of creating content validity assessment table . The assessment guide contains a quantitative assessment of the elements of measuring instruments, the relevance of the statement of the definition of conceptual and critical operations and how well the structure of language and simplicity sentence in a deciphering statement. This can be used as guidelines testing the validity of the content in the manufacture of measuring instruments in Indonesia .Keywords: Instrument, Validity, Evaluation, Research

Abstract

Ada banyak definisi tentang validitas isi tetapi Haynes dkk.(1995) berhasil membuat definisi yang sangat baik sehingga setiap frasa dari definisi itu diuraikan dengan baik pula olehnya. Dari uraian yang dia buat maka penulis berusaha mengaplikasikannya dalam bentuk pembuatan tabel penilaianvaliditas isi. Panduan penilaian itu berisikan penilaian kuantitatif terhadap elemen-elemen alat ukur, kerelevanan pernyataan terhadap definisi konseptual dan opersionalnya dan seberapa baik struktur bahasa dan kesederhanaan kalimat dalam menguraikan pernyataan. Peanduan ini bisadijadikan pedoman pengujian validitas isi dalam pembuatan alat ukur di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parents’ religious coping and perceived competencies in handling their children with special needs and their parental stress level. The subject of the study is 122 parents of children with an array of special needs, selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data for the study were obtained through the Indonesian version of Amer et al.’s BARCS questionnaires (2018), with some adaptations applied. Parents’ perception of their competence in handling their children with special needs was measured using the SEDKO-ABK questionnaire arranged by the researchers. At the same time, Berry Jones’s Parenting Stress Scale (1995) was adapted into the context of the parenting of children with special needs to measure parents’ stress levels. The data were processed using multiple regression statistical techniques on the significance level of α=0.05. Based on the result, it is discovered that 1) parents’ perception of their competence in handling their children with special needs affects their parental stress level, 2) the use of religious coping has an impact on parental stress level, and 3) self-perception on self-competence and the use of religious coping in handling children with special needs simultaneously give an impact on parental stress level.
