Abstract

The study aims to describe the role of the principal: 1) as an educator and as a manager; 2) as an administrator and supervisor; 3) as a leader, innovator and motivator; 4) analyzing leadership styles and supporting and inhibiting factors in achieving results. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Alasa, District of North Nias, using a qualitative and qualitative approach. The data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques with interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed: 1) the role of the principal as an educator can improve the professionalism of educators; 2) the role of the principal as a manager can manage and solve problems; 3) the role of the principal as an administrator can manage school administrative activities; 4) the role of the principal as a supervisor can oversee supervision activities; 5) the role of the principal as a leader is to communicate and create conducive conditions; 6) the role of the principal as an innovator can develop learning and create programs; 7) the role of the principal as a motivator, namely providing motivation to educators and students with a democratic leadership style, 8) supporting factors, namely human resources in this case educators and students, infrastructure and support provided by the guardians of students, while the inhibiting factor is the instability of internet power.

Abstract

Objective. This study aims to identify and analyze consumer considerations factors in online purchasing decisions with trust as a moderating variable. Research Methods.This research is an associative research. The population in this study were students of the Study Program of Master of Management, Postgraduate, Universitas HKBP Nommensen Medan who had made online purchases. The number of samples was 80 respondents who were taken using purposive sampling technique. Primary data collection used questionnaires and secondary data collection used literature study. Testing the hypothesis in this study used linear regression analysis and interaction test with a significance value of = 5% (0.05). Results.The results showed that the variables of consumer consideration factors and consumer confidence had a positive and significant effect on online purchasing decisions for students of Postgraduate Management Master Program. Consumer trust was able to strengthen the influence of consumer considerations factors on consumer purchasing decisions online. Conclusion.All aspects contained in these variables consisting of price, product, ease of transaction and transaction security have a significant positive influence on consumer purchasing decisions to shop online. The better and clearer the practice of prices, products, convenience and security of transactions provided by companies or individual online sellers, the easier it is for consumers to make purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Generasi Z merupakan peserta didik yang lahir pada tahun 1996-2009. Generasi Z merupakan generasi yang mahir terhadap kemajuan teknologi. Pendidikan karakter wajib berjalan dengan pandangan kognitif, afektif, ataupun psikomotorik dalam menyiapkan generasi muda untuk keberlangsungan kehidupan warga serta bangsa yang lebih bagus di era depan. Tujuannya dilakukan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui peran guru Bidang Studi Ilmu Sosial dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik generasi Z. Keteladanan guru Bidang Studi Ilmu Sosial dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik generasi Z. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kepustakaan (library research) dengan menggunakan kajian berbagai literature yang diperoleh sesuai dengan pokok bahasan. Hasil kajian pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa keteladanan guru dapat dilakukan oleh seluruh guru dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter di sekolah, sebab apa yang dilakukan ialah cikal akan guru yang bisa digugu dan ditiru. Guru yang baik kehadirannya selalu dinantikan dan dirindukan oleh anak didiknya. Kesimpulan dari hasil kajian adalah bahwa keteladanan berbentuk tutur, tindakan, watak, serta performa buat diaplikasikan yang mempunyai akibat positif yang amat besar untuk kemajuan kepribadian partisipan ajar. Guru menjadi role model kepada peserta didik di dalam mengajarkan pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of lecturer performance, service quality and facilities on student satisfaction at the University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. the population in this study were students of the University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. The sample used in this study was 637 respondents. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses Multiple Linear Regression Test, and Hypothesis Testing, namely T Test and F Test. The results of this study can be concluded that the Lecturer Performance variable has a positive and significant effect on Student Satisfaction, Service Quality has a positive and significant effect on Student Satisfaction, then Facilities have an effect on Student Satisfaction, and Lecturer Performance, Service Quality and Facilities together have a positive and significant effect on Student Satisfaction at the University of Muhammadiyah Bengkulu. Keywords: Lecturer Performance, Service Quality, Facilities, and Student Satisfaction

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur pasar hotel non-berbintang di Sumatra Utara. Untuk menganalisis struktur pasar digunakan metode Concentration Ratio, Herfindhal Hirschman Index, dan  Barriers to Entry. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) struktur pasar hotel non-berbintang di Kota Medan cenderung berbentuk oligopoli, sedangkan kabupaten/kota lainnya cenderung berbentuk monopolistic, (2) pendirian hotel-hotel non-berbintang yang baru akan memiliki kesempatan yang baik untuk tetap bersaing secara sehat untuk mendapatkan pangsa pasar yang lebih besar, (3) struktur pasar hotel non-berbintang  dapat mempengaruhi perilaku industri hotel non-berbintang dan perilaku industri hotel tersebut akan sangat mempengaruhi kinerja usaha hotel. This study aims to analyze the market structure of the non-star hotel industry in North Sumatra. To analyze the market structure, the Concentration Ratio, Herfindahl Hirschman Index, and Barriers to Entry methods are used to analyze the market structure. The results showed: (1) the market structure of non-star hotels in Medan city tends to be in the form of an oligopoly, while other regencies/cities tend to be monopolistic, (2) the establishment of new non-star hotels will have a good opportunity to remain competitive globally, and to gain a larger market share, (3) the market structure of non-star hotels influence the behavior of the non-star hotel industry and the behavior of the hotel industry will greatly affect hotel business performance.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to analyse the level of efficiency and elasticity of the large and medium manufacturing industry sector during 2012 - 2020 in the Indonesian Standard Industrial Classification (ISIC) 2-digit level (major groups 10 to 33), consisting of 24 types of manufacturing sub-industries. In this study, the Cobb-Douglas production function model with linear logarithmic was used to analyse the manufacturing efficiency index. The results showed that: (1) during the period 2012-2020, the production efficiency of the 2-digit ISIC sub-sector (24 sub-sectors) increased on average by 445% or 4. 45 times, (2) all the output elasticity values of the 2-digit ISIC subsector (24 subsectors) were less than one (EL < 1), which showed that the marginal value added of labour was lower than the average value added of labour, so that the additional allocation of labour in large and medium-sized industries tended to reduce the average value added of labour, (3) the highest efficiency index in order were ISIC 26 (computer, electronic and optical products), ISIC 17 (paper and paperboard), ISIC 18 (electrical machinery and equipment), ISIC 19 (machinery and equipment) and ISIC 20 (machinery and equipment); ISIC 17 (paper and paper products); ISIC 31 (furniture) and ISIC 29 (motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and prove whether economic growth and the human development index, each of which is influenced by its determinants, have a simultaneous relationship. The data used is secondary data in the form of panel data from North Sumatra Province consisting of 29 districts / cities for the period 2018 - 2022. The analysis method used is simultaneous equation with two stages least square. The study results show that the variables that have a positive and significant effect on economic growth are the output value variable of large and medium industries and the labor force participation rate variable, while the employment opportunity variable has a negative and significant effect on economic growth. The variables that have a positive and significant effect on the human development index variable are the per capita income variable and the life expectancy variable. However, the economic growth variable has a negative and significant effect on the human development index. By using two stages least square analysis, it is found that economic growth does not have a simultaneous relationship with the human development index variable.

Abstract

Desa tigaras memiliki klasifikasi sebagai desa swadaya yang menjadi salah satu lokasi Kuliah Praktik Pengabdian Masyarakat (KPPM) Universitas HKBP Nommensen. Desa Tigaras berada di pusat kecamatan dan memiliki posisi yang strategis sehingga perekonomian desa berkembang pesat. Beberapa bidang usaha dan bisnis kuliner rumahan dalam bentuk UMKM menjadi mata pencaharian masyarakat. Di era modern saat ini, digital marketing memiliki efektifitas daya jual yang besar di media sosial. Oleh karena itu dilakukan pembinaan dan pendampingan dalam hal pemasaran melalui digital marketing. Tujuan pendampingan adalah untuk memberikan edukasi kepada pelaku UMKM dalam pemanfataan teknologi sebagai faktor penunjang proses produksi dan pemasaran produk supaya mudah dikenal publik. Metode penelitian dalam program ini yaitu menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Setelah mendapatkan pembinaan dan pendampingan, pelaku UMKM berhasil meningkatkan value dan nama brand dari produk makanan yang dihasilkan, serta dapat membuat akun dan mengelola e-commerce sebagai sarana transaksi jual beli produk yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This research aims to estimate the expenditure on Toba Batak wedding customs from the initial stages to the traditional wedding ceremony by taking an inventory of various expenditures so that the economic value of the wedding custom can be mapped. The economic value referred to is the value paid by consumers (namely paranak and parboru) for goods and services purchased or consumed or used in marriage customs, especially from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). To collect data, 30 families were selected as research samples with the following criteria: (1) the traditional wedding party was paid for by paranak , (2) the amount of the dowry (sinamot ) was a maximum of 40 million rupiah, (3) the martumpol was held , (4) the traditional party was held in Medan , and (5) paranak and parboru are both Toba Batak people. The sampling method is accidental sampling and data collection starts from March to August 2023. Then the primary data is processed using simple mathematical calculations and analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The research results show a total expenditure of 2,833,900,000 rupiah or an average of 188,926,667 rupiah for each wedding custom. The main source of expenditure is paranak, almost 69% of the total. Meanwhile, the economic value of traditional marriages reached 1,965,600,000 rupiah or an average of 131,040,000 rupiah, namely to pay for goods and service transactions to MSMEs. Paranak contribution to the transaction was around 67% and the rest came from parboru. Assuming 500 marriage customs, the economic value of marriage customs is estimated to reach hundreds of billions in 2023 and become one of the drivers of economic activity, especially for MSMEs in Medan City.

Abstract

Information about willingness to pay (WTP) essentially aims to protect consumers from the abuse of monopoly power owned by companies in the supply of quality products and prices. The consumer's WTP of a product can be an appropriate basis in determining the pricing policy for a product because he can reveal the true value or price of the product based on consumer perception. The price proxy with the WTP can still meet the assumption of the traditional demand model (Marshallian demand model) where the price is not set (regulated) by the government. WTP can be obtained by using a contingent valuation method.
