Abstract

AbstractThis research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this research is to use observation techniques, interviews, and documentary studies. While the data collection tools used are interview guides, observation guides, log books and archives. The results showed that 1) Types of variations in the use of learning resources by PPKn teachers in Pontianak's Panca Bhakti High School were less varied. 2) Why teachers do not use varied learning resources in PPKn learning, based on the results of research conducted by researchers at Pontianak's Panca Bhakti High School, this is because learning resources used are only based on the needs of PPKn teachers, and because of time constraints in the use of learning resources. 3) In the selection of learning resources by the Panca Bhakti Pontianak High School PPKn teacher it was already good. This is seen from the teacher's attention to the accuracy of learning resources with subject matter and instructional goals, besides the teacher is very concerned about the ease of getting learning resources, and the teacher is very concerned about the suitability of learning resources with student abilities. Keyword : Utilization of Learning Resources, High School.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to know the description, process, and barriers of extracurricular activities in developing the value of nationalism character to the students (the members of Paskibra) at SMAN 1 Pontianak. This research used descriptive with a qualitative form research design. The source's data of this study were Paskibra's members batch 27 classes X, trainers, coaches, the data taken from interview sheets for informants, observation sheets, and the secondary data were taken from Paskibra administrator. The results showed that the nationalism character of Paskibra members had developed and was in a good category. It was marked by an attitude of loving the homeland, appreciating the heroes' merit, having a sense of coalescence and unity, and loving the arts and culture of Indonesia through the process of implementing Paskibra activity. It aims to develop a sense of loving their homeland by raising the flag properly and correctly. However, there were also obstacles such as the limited time and field in carrying out the activities. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and assessment of student's activeness on PPKn subjects in class X Science of Abdi Wacana Christian High School Pontianak using visual based learning media . This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The research subjects consist of 19 students of class X Science. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study found that: 1. On the teacher's Lesson Plan is in accordance with the components and systematic K-13 Lesson Plan and the preparation of the Lesson Plan has designed learning activities that can develop student learning activities. 2. The implementation of learning at the first and second meetings, the teacher has implemented according to the Lesson Plan using visual-based media. 3. The student learning activeness from the first and second meetings on average students are very active by meeting 5 indicators of activeness. Therefore, it can be concluded that visual based learning media can develop the learning activeness of students on PPKn subjects in class X Science of Abdi Wacana Pontianak Christian High School. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, assessment, and learning activeness students by using the Jigsaw model in PPKn subjects X MIPA 4 SMAN 8 Pontianak. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. The subject of this research is X MIPA 4, amounting 32 students. Data collection techniques, namely: observation, interviews and documentation. Based results of the study that: 1. In the teacher's RPP is in accordance 2013 curriculum RPP and the preparation of the teacher's RPP has designed learning that can develop student learning activities. 2. Implementation of learning at the first and second meeting, the teacher has implemented according to the RPP and stages of the Jigsaw model. 3. Assessment of the Jigsaw model in the RPP, namely: Attitudes, Knowledge, and Skills. The aspects related to learning activeness are skills because contain indicators of learning activeness. 4. Students active learning observations average scores obtained at the first meeting are 6 of 8 indicators with good assessment criteria and the second meeting is 7 of 8 indicator very good assessment criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw model can develop students learning activeness in PPKn subjects in class X MIPA 4 SMAN 8 Pontianak. Keywords: Jigsaw Model, Learning Activeness, PPkn

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed at determining the factors that affect students’ learning difficulties in understanding the learning material about the values of Pancasila in the administration of government, the PPKn subject in 10 th -grade of Mathematics and Natural Sciences in SMAN 7 Pontianak. The method used in this study is descriptive with qualitative form. The data were collected using direct observation technique, interview, and documenter study technique. The subjects in this study were the teacher of the PPKn subject and the 10 th -grade students Mathematics and Natural Science 4, resulted in the data obtained in  the form of the interview result. The findings indicated that there were external and internal factors affecting students’ learning difficulties in understanding the material. Internal factors included intelligence and learning success, learning attitudes, motivation, concentration, habits, and physical health, as well as external factors, consist of the teaching methods, school discipline, and social environment such as peers.Keywords: Factors in Learning Difficulties, PPKn, Values of Pancasila

Abstract

AbstractThe results of preliminary observations showed that student engagement in the learning is still low with an average of 35.83%. This study aimed to collect data and precise information on implementing the Jigsaw technique to improve students' engagement in civic education instruction. The research method used is descriptive in the form of collaborative classroom action research. The subjects studied were thirty VII grade students of SMP Kartika XVII-1 Sungai Raya. Data collection techniques used were direct observation techniques, with observation sheets of teacher ability in preparation and implementing instructions, and student activity observation sheets as the data collection tools. This research was conducted in 3 cycles with the results collected as follows, the ability of teachers to plan instructions from the cycle I obtained an averagescore of 3.10 with a good category, an average score of 3.47 with a good category in cycle II, and an average score of 3.94 with an excellent category in cycle III. The ability of teachers to implement instructions from the cycle I obtained an average score of 3.04 with a good category, an average score of 3.46 with a good category in cycle II, and an average score of 3.95 with an excellent category in cycle III. Student engagement in the initial observations with an average value of 35.83% was obtained with a very low category; the cycle I obtained an average value of 62.08% with a sufficient category; cycle II obtained an average value of 76.25% with a good category; cycle III obtained an average value of 85.00% with a very high category. Grounded on the findings, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in each cycle. Therefore, the jigsaw technique can increase class VII Kartika XVII-1 Sungai Raya students engagements in Civic Education instruction.Keywords: Civic Education, Cooperative Learning Model Jigsaw Technique, Student Engagement.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find the perceptions of tutor teachers on the primary skills of civic education teaching on the teacher students of Civic Education FKIP UNTAN, Batch 2016 in Academic Year 2019/2020 in the teaching practice program (PPL 2). This study is qualitative research using the descriptive method. The participating schools in this study comprise SMAN 3 Pontianak, SMAN 8 Pontianak, SMA Islam Bawari, SMA ISLAMYAH Pontianak, and SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. Data sources consist of primary data that includes tutor teachers of the teaching practice program (PPL-2) and secondary data that consists of students who took part as the pupils for the PPL-2 teacher. Data were collected through interviews and documentation studies, using data collection tools in the form of structured interview guides, field notes, and cameras. Data were analyzed through data reduction techniques and data display and confirmed through extended observation, in-depth observation, and triangulation. The results showed that the tutor teachers' perceptions of PPL-2 teacher skills in the learning delivery process were quite good but still had shortcomings that need improvement for future instructions. Keywords: Basic Teaching Skills, Perceptions of Tutor Teacher, Teaching Practice Program.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was implemented due to the low number of students that showed their interest in listening to the material explaining by the teacher. The goal of this research was to make the teaching and learning process be more useful for the students. Therefore, the researcher was doing an experimental study by using contextual model (contextual teaching and learning) which was aimed to know the effect of the use of contextual model (contextual teaching and learning) to the students’ learning result of class XI IPS 4 at SMAN 4 Pontianak. The research method used was experimental study method in pre-experimental design one-group pretest-postest design form. In pre-test, the average of students’ score was 69.68, meanwhile in post-test the average of students’ score was 79.84. As the result of the research finding in paired test sample, t-test showed that the number of significancy (2-tailed) was 0.000. This finding proved that the significancy number (2-tailed) <0.05 which showed the effect of contextual model (contextual teaching and learning) to the students’ learning result in PPKN subject of class XI IPS 4 at SMAN 4 Pontianak. The result of the calculation of the effect size was a strong effect since the number of the effect size was 1.562>1.00. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of contextual model (contextual teaching and learning) was effectively affect the students’ learning result especially for “Faktor Pendorong dan Penghambat Persatuan dan Kesatuan Bangsa” material. Keywords: Contextual Model, Effect, The result of teaching and learning process of PPKN subject

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the political participation of the society in Peniraman Village, Sungai Pinyuh District, Mempawah Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The focus of this research is to describe the factors that influence the high level of society political participation in Peniraman Village, Sungai Pinyuh District, Mempawah Regency. The object of this research is the society in Peniraman Village, Sungai Pinyuh District, Mempawah Regency, who use their voting rights in the 2019 legislative elections. Data collection techniques were done by interview and documentation methods. The data obtained were analyzed using an interactive model. The results show that the factors that influence the high political participation of the people of Peniraman Village, Sungai Pinyuh District in using their voting rights are influenced by political awareness factors which can be seen from the awareness of society rights and obligations in general training, fairly good society political knowledge and interest in society attention to voting. Another factor is public trust in the government, both support for government performance and public trust. And social factors, education, and heredity. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the Role of Citizenship Education Teachers in Motivating Student Learning in Class VII A SMP Negeri 3 Ketungau Tengah, Sintang District. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative research form. The data source of this research was students of class VII A and the data were obtained from the administration of SMP Negeri 3 Ketungau Tengah, Sintang District. The results of the study 1) The conditions of learning were less conducive, because students seemed not to participate in learning activities well. 2) The way Civics teachers motivate student learning is to provide questions and feedback, and always help students when learning difficulties. 3) The obstacles faced by the teacher are the lack of student interest in Civics lessons, the influence of peers, the lack of attention and supervision from parents and the lack of Civics class hours. 4) The efforts of the teacher in overcoming obstacles, namely fostering student interest in Civics lessons, giving advice and giving appeals to parents of students as well as adding Civics activities.Keywords : The Role of the Teacher, Motivating Student Learning.
