Abstract

The government encourages industry players to continue to innovate and be sustainable in accordance with the commitment of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. Industrial sustainability itself requires careful planning such as indicators and strategy formulation. Currently, the large number of industries in various sectors has given rise to fierce competition. The printing industry sector was an industry with significant development of 10 percent since 2019-2024. The purpose of this study was to develop indicators of industrial sustainability that were implemented in the printing sector in Surakarta City. The methods used were the Delphi Method and the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) Method. The respondents of this study were PT Margo Mitro Joyo and PT Putra Nugraha Sentosa. The results of the study can produce 22 indicators of industrial sustainability, while also determining the level of sustainability of the printing sector industry in Surakarta in the good category.

Abstract

UMKM di Indonesia memiliki peran penting dalam membangun perekonomian Indonesia, namun masih menghadapi tantangan serius dari berbagai aspek. Salah satu tantangan utama yang dihadapi UMKM saat ini adalah ketidakstabilan kualitas produk dan lemahnya sistem pengelolaan limbah produksi. Kualitas produk yang tidak konsisten dapat menurunkan kepercayaan konsumen dan daya saing di tengah pasar yang kompetitif, sementara limbah produksi yang tidak terkelola dengan baik akan berkontribusi pada inefisiensi dan dampak lingkungan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi UMKM Boboo Baby dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan kualitas produk melalui digitalisasi sistem kontrol kualitas dan pencatatan limbah. Solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi pelatihan penggunaan Google Form, Google Sheets, dan Looker Studio untuk inspeksi kualitas produk dan pencatatan limbah produksi. Metode kegiatan berupa sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, demonstrasi, serta monitoring dan evaluasi implementasi sistem. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pegawai terhadap pentingnya kontrol kualitas, serta kemampuan UMKM dalam memantau dan mengurangi limbah secara lebih sistematis. Program ini mendukung transformasi digital UMKM dan memberikan dampak positif terhadap efisiensi produksi dan keberlanjutan usaha.

Abstract

Perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah suatu kegiatan merancang fasilitas fisik yang terdiri dari peralatan, mesin, area, bangunan dan fasilitas lainnya. Fungsi perancangan tata letak fasilitas yaitu memaksimalkan penataan aliran material, aliran informasi dan proses kerja untuk mencapai tujuan yang diinginkan oleh suatu perusahaan. Tujuan utama dari perancangan tata letak fasilitas adalah meminimasi biaya perpindahan bahan dengan waktu yang tersingkat. Kegiatan perancangan fasilitas sering kali digunakan di dunia industri atau pabrik. Perancangan fasilitas pabrik biasanya menganalis, pembentukan konsep, perancangan dan pembuatan suatu sistem tentang produk yang akan dihasilkan atau jasa yang akan diberikan. UMKM Fuji Rotan Trangsan Gatak Sukoharjo dalam layout pabrik / tata letak fasilitas belum begitu tertata sehingga dapat membuat waktu, proses produksi, output dalam produksi kerajinan rotan kurang maksimal sehingga berpengaruh dalam profit usaha. Sehingga, perlu dilakukan penataan layout atau perancangan tata letak fasilitas di UMKM Fuji rotan. Diharapkan dari pengabdian ini UMKM Fuji rotan dapat terbantu dalam perancangan tata letak fasilitas atau penataan layout UMKM. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dari program ini dikemas dalam bentuk beberapa kegiatan yang sifatnya tidak formal, kreatif dan inovatif serta menyenangkan bagi pemilik UMKM Fuji Rotan dan pekerja UMKM Fuji Rotan. Pekerja dan pemilik UMKM akan diberikan pengetahuan mengenai tata letak fasilitas dan bagaimana penerapannya untuk mengoptimalkan sistem produksi yang efektif dan efisien sehingga proses produksi dapat memberikan efek dan profit yang maksimal serta meminimalisir kegiatan yang membuang banyak waktu.

Abstract

Surakarta 5 Vocational High School was an educational institution committed to improving students' digital skills and adapting to technological developments. In response to the needs and problems faced, this community service activity aims to organize product design training using SolidWorks software for students. This activity was expected to equip students with digital skills that were relevant to the industrial world, while fostering an entrepreneurial spirit. The training method includes delivering material through presentations and direct practice with guidance from lecturers and students. The training lasted for two days in the Mechanical Engineering laboratory of Surakarta 5 Vocational High School. The training was attended by 30 students from the Mechanical Engineering department. The results of this activity include improving students' abilities in using SolidWorks software, mastering digital-based product design techniques, and encouraging entrepreneurial potential through product design services and businesses. Thus, this training provides important provisions for students to be able to face challenges in the world of work or start independent businesses in the field of product design.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the most suitable public transportation mode in Surakarta to support sustainable urban mobility by applying the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method. The research considers six evaluation criteria, namely convenient user, user safety, accessibility and inclusivity, fee, time efficiency, and mobility, which reflect both service quality and efficiency aspects of urban transportation. The alternatives assessed include Batik Solo Trans (BST), van, pedicab, taxi and taxibike (online and manual), representing the main public transport modes available in the city. The methodology involves normalizing the decision matrix, applying the assigned weights to the criteria, and calculating the positive and negative significance values for each alternative, followed by determining their relative significance and utility values. The findings indicate that among the alternatives, van with 100,00 achieved the highest utility value, making it the most appropriate choice for enhancing public transportation services in Surakarta. The results demonstrate that the COPRAS methos provides a systematic and balanced approach for integrating benefit and cost criteria, offering practical insights for policymakers in developing to promote efficient, inclusive, and sustainable urban transportation systems

Abstract

Machine maintenance and repair are essential to maintain optimal machine performance. Downtime is a situation where damage occurs to a machine component or when the machine restarts after undergoing a repair or replacement process. CV Madyotomo is a printing company that experienced a total of 20,114 minutes of machine downtime, resulting in a financial loss of Rp 50,285,550. This study aims to design a maintenance system on the Müller Martini 321 stitching machine at CV Madyotomo using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) approach. The results of the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) analysis show four critical components, namely bearing (RPN 240), v-belt (RPN 189), shaft gear (RPN 175), and support gear (RPN 160). The critical components are bearing, v-belt, shaft gear, and support gear. The application of the RCM method and the integration of the 5R concept has been proven to minimize downtime, extend the life of critical components, and increase the efficiency of the production process

Abstract

Circular design offers significant potential for creating more environmentally friendly and sustainable machines. However, its implementation also presents a number of challenges, particularly related to operational safety and sustainability evaluation. A comprehensive evaluation approach and clear technical standards are needed to ensure that circularly designed machines remain efficient, safe, and suitable for long-term use. This research method uses a literature review to develop indicators. The results of this article identify 16 indicators that can be used to develop sustainable machine designs. These indicators are divided into two main categories: 8 indicators related to environmental aspects, including energy savings, recycling, reuse, toxic and hazardous materials, number of components, product durability, and environmentally friendly components; and 9 indicators related to technical aspects, including assembly and disassembly, product dimensions, product weight, maintenance, safety of use, ease of operation, ease of cleaning, ease of production, and product adaptability. Furthermore, indicator validation is crucial to ensure that the indicators used are relevant, accurate, and reliable in the context of developing sustainable machine designs.

Abstract

Project delays have a substantial impact on overall implementation performance; therefore, effective control and scheduling mechanisms are essential to ensure time efficiency throughout every phase of work. CV. Kharisma Karya Nusantara frequently encounters delays caused by excessive overtime and an unstructured reporting system that cannot be evaluated in real time. This study aims to design a project management system and analyze the scheduling impact using the Critical Path Method (CPM). The CPM analysis identified a critical path consisting of preparatory work, lower structure levels 1 to 3, ground floor work, upper structure levels 1 and 2, first, second, and third floor structural works, walls and partitions of the second floor, first floor finishing, and final work. The total project duration calculated using CPM was 588 days. When recalculated using Microsoft Project, the duration was reduced to 337 days, resulting in a time efficiency of 251 days. These findings demonstrate that implementing a well-structured and integrated project management system can significantly enhance scheduling efficiency, minimize delays, and optimize overall resource utilization.

Abstract

Evaluation of productivity and technological needs was an important process in a production process. It was used to assist maintenance and repairs in production. MSMEs at the Grobog Wonogiri tempe chips industrial center have used a slicing machine to slice the benguk seeds. The use of these machines causes problems, namely the results of the pieces do not match the needs that were wide but destroyed, besides on the other problems, machine was not environmentally friendly. The result of the implementation of the activity was an evaluation related to the technology used, so it can be seen the need for a machine that was suitable for the specifications of slicing koro benguk beans. So, it was expected to increase productivity.

Abstract

Kegiatan transportasi adalah pendisitribusian suatu produk dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain. Dalam mendistribusikan suatu produk, faktor jarak tempuh dan waktu tempuh menjadi hal yang cukup penting untuk diperhatikan karena melibatkan banyak hal dalam pengoperasianya. Desa Petirsari merupakan usaha yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Wonogiri. Desa Petirsari memiliki beberapa UMKM seperti kerajinan kayu, kerajinan rambut palsu/ wig, dan makanan. Berdasarkan permasalahan di Desa Petirsari, UMKM sangat sulit untuk mengembangkan usaha di desa pada era modern dikarenakan sulitnya menjangkau pasar dan akses yang jauh. Oleh karena itu perlunya akses distibusi yang efektif dan efisien agar masyarakat dapat mendistribusikan hasil usaha atau produknya lebih optimal. Lebih lanjut, upaya lain untuk mempermudah pemasaran produk yaitu dengan pembuatan website. Adapun hasil dari pengabdian yaitu pembuatan rute distribusi produk dan website untuk memasarkan produk.
