Abstract

Customer service is a crucial element in the operations of Regional Water Supply Companies (PDAM) to ensure customer satisfaction and support business sustainability. This study aims to evaluate the capabilities of the customer service system at PDAM Sidoarjo, which still relies on manual processes, particularly in managing customer complaints and meter readings. Although bill payments have been integrated with the Payment Point Online Bank (PPOB) system, the manual processes still pose challenges, such as data errors and processing delays. An audit was conducted using the COBIT 5 framework, focusing on domains DSS01 - Manage Operations, DSS02 - Manage Service Requests and Incidents, and MEA01 - Monitor, Evaluate, and Assess, to assess the capability levels and identify areas for improvement. The audit results indicate that the average capability level of DSS01 is at Level 4 (Predictable Process), while DSS02 and MEA01 are at Level 3 (Established Process) and Level 4, respectively. The gap analysis revealed the need for improvements in infrastructure monitoring, complaint handling, and service quality evaluation. Recommendations include process automation and enhanced oversight to achieve better efficiency and effectiveness. This research is expected to serve as a guide for PDAM Sidoarjo in improving the capabilities of its customer service processes to support more optimal and customer-oriented services.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze conceptual understanding in the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model using the Quizizz PKN Lesson application at SDN Tedunan.The research method used was a qualitative approach with a type of classroom action research carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The study was conducted from November 2023 to May 2024 in class IV of Tedunan State Elementary School, Wedung District, Demak Regency. The subjects of the study were teachers and 15 students. Data validation with experts by filling out score sheets on each aspect related to the study. Data analysis used descriptive analysis techniques by determining the mean or average.The results of the study showed that: (1) Concept understanding in cycle I showed the acquisition of 4 students with T/High criteria, 6 students with S/Medium criteria, and the remaining 5 students with R/Low criteria. There was an increase in cycle II with the acquisition of 5 students with T/High criteria, 7 students with S/Medium criteria, and the remaining 3 students with R/Low criteria. (2) Student learning outcomes in cycle I were 10 students who experienced learning completion with a percentage of 66.70% increasing to 12 students with a percentage of 80.00% in cycle II. (3) Teacher skills in cycle I obtained a percentage of 62.50% with a total score of 20 good criteria increasing to a total score of 27 very good criteria with a percentage of 84.37% in cycle II.

Abstract

Eating Together is an activity that is often carried out by many people, especially in business cooperation with colleagues or colleagues. The term Table Manner is used as a term for eating ethics and rules in politeness and manners at the dinner table, how to sit, eat, drink using the correct cutlery, and leave the dinner table. The phenomenon found in Padang Sakti village regarding table manners is the lack of understanding of the community regarding the correct procedures for eating and drinking at the dinner table, especially at weddings which are part of official banquets. Where invited guests, especially in-laws, will be served officially. On average, people have very low ethics at banquets (weddings). Low ethics when eating or drinking shows a low social status as well. PKK women who are part of the community are seen as having an important role in shaping the ethics and social status of their community. Therefore, the partners chosen for this community service activity are PKK mothers. The main objective in carrying out table manners training activities for PKK Padang Sakti Village mothers is to develop Human Resources (HR) in the community and increase social status by adding insight, skills and confidence in organizing or attending banquets both within the community itself and outside the community environment. This activity was carried out by 1) Delivering material on banquet procedures, which included room and table arrangements, mealtime sharing, menus, serving rules, how to sit, how to use cutlery, eating procedures, how to talk and emergencies at the dining table. The entire material provided is interspersed with simulations. 2) The training ends with the practice of having a banquet by paying attention to and obeying the general rules of the banquet, including by maintaining ethics during the banquet. Mastery of manners at banquets shows personality and adjustment in relationships. From the training activities carried out, the PKK women in Padang Sakti Village have been able to understand and participate in the training well and understand how to eat good etiquette at the dinner table or commonly referred to as table manner.

Abstract

Abstract The mental health crisis is one of the major challenges in the modern era, marked by the rising prevalence of stress, anxiety, and depression. Conventional psychological approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) have proven effective, yet their limitation lies in the absence of a spiritual dimension, which is essential for religious communities. This article aims to explore and offer Islamic mindfulness as an integrative, value-based alternative approach. Employing a qualitative descriptive method through library research, this study draws on academic literature published between 2018 and 2025 to construct a conceptual and practical framework of Islamic mindfulness rooted in Sufi principles such as muraqabah, muhasabah, dhikr, and tafakkur. The findings indicate that Islamic mindfulness is grounded in strong theological sources from the Qur’an and Hadith, and is applicable within modern psychotherapy, particularly for Muslim patients seeking spiritually congruent treatment. Recent studies show that Islamic mindfulness interventions can reduce symptoms of depression, increase inner peace, and strengthen spiritual resilience. Its integration with CBT demonstrates a high level of compatibility, presenting a promising opportunity to develop culturally grounded therapies with a holistic approach. Islamic mindfulness is not merely a substitute for Western methods, but rather a form of psychological recovery deeply rooted in divine consciousness and transcendent spirituality. Further standardized and large-scale research is needed to validate its effectiveness across diverse clinical and socio-cultural settings.

Abstract

The contemporary moral crisis among adolescents has become a central issue demanding a multidisciplinary approach, particularly through a synthesis of classical Islamic philosophy and modern psychology. One relevant thinker in this context is Ibn Miskawayh, an 11th-century Muslim philosopher and ethicist who offers a profound vision of character formation through gradual and balanced soul development. This study aims to explore the relevance of Ibn Miskawayh’s philosophical psychology in shaping the ethics and psychological balance of today’s youth. This research employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature analysis of Ibn Miskawayh’s major work, Tahdhīb al-Akhlāq, as well as contemporary studies in developmental psychology and moral education. The study focuses on three core principles in his moral pedagogy: tawazun (balance), tadrij (gradual development), and sa'adah (happiness), along with the soul’s tripartite structure vegetative, animalistic, and rational. Findings suggest that Ibn Miskawayh’s moral education model strongly aligns with modern psychological theories and has the potential to serve as an alternative framework for integrative character education. The pedagogical implications include applying a spiritual-rational approach in school curricula and enhancing the role of teachers and counselors as philosophical and reflective moral guides.
