Abstract

Pondok pesantren memiliki peran strategis dalam pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi di Indonesia, terutama dalam mendukung kemandirian umat dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini membahas penerapan strategi pengembangan ekonomi di Pondok Pesantren Gontor sebagai salah satu pesantren terkemuka yang berhasil mengintegrasikan pendidikan agama dengan pengembangan usaha mandiri. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pengembangan ekonomi di Gontor meliputi penguatan pendidikan kewirausahaan, pendirian unit-unit usaha berbasis pesantren, serta optimalisasi jaringan dan kerja sama dengan pihak eksternal. Unit usaha seperti koperasi, agribisnis, perdagangan, dan lembaga keuangan mikro menjadi pilar utama dalam mendukung kemandirian finansial pesantren. Selain itu, penerapan nilai-nilai keislaman dalam pengelolaan ekonomi memberikan keunggulan kompetitif yang mampu menarik kepercayaan masyarakat luas. Kesimpulannya, strategi ekonomi yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Gontor dapat menjadi model inspiratif bagi pesantren lain untuk meningkatkan kemandirian finansial dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan ekonomi lokal. Rekomendasi untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut mencakup peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia, diversifikasi usaha, dan penerapan teknologi digital dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi pesantren.

Abstract

Every implementation of a new curriculum, including the Independent Curriculum, generally brings about major changes in learning in schools. In the Independent Curriculum, the most noticeable change is that schools must implement the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and identify the obstacles encountered during its implementation at the junior high school level in Sragen Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a single embedded case study approach. The research subjects are the Principal and Teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo and SMP Negeri 1 Sragen. The results of the study indicate that SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo and SMP Negeri 1 Sragen have implemented the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo implemented it because it is a driving school while SMP Negeri 1 Sragen implemented it because it implemented the Independent Curriculum with the Changed Independent Path. The character of students in both schools improved after implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. The general characters in SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo that emerged were mutual cooperation and creativity. The general characters seen in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at SMP Negeri 1 Sragen were responsibility and cooperation. A number of obstacles in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project were faced by SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo and SMP Negeri 1 Sragen. These obstacles were in the form of time and resources in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. From the existing research results, it was concluded that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project was implemented well although obstacles still emerged. Based on this, adjustments are needed in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project or what is now a co-curricular activity in Sragen Regency.

Abstract

Classical Islamic political thought represents an intellectual legacy that emerged from the Muslim community’s struggle to manage power, law, and society from the era of the Khulafāʾ al-Rāsyidīn to the dynastic periods. Concepts such as shūrā (consultation), justice, and imāmah (leadership) serve as normative foundations for governance from an Islamic perspective. This article aims to examine the key ideas of classical Islamic political thought and analyze their relevance to the modern democratic system. The research employs a library study method with a historical-philosophical analytical approach. The findings indicate that the principle of shūrā aligns closely with participatory democracy, although it differs in theological foundations. Moreover, the classical scholars’ notions of social justice and leadership accountability remain highly relevant to contemporary governance. Thus, classical Islamic political thought should not be viewed merely as a historical doctrine but as an ongoing source of inspiration for developing a more ethical and just form of democracy.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (Islamic boarding schools) currently encounter significant challenges in remaining relevant amid the swift evolution of information technology, while at the same time upholding religious and moral values. One pressing issue is the need for increased transparency in managing information, especially as digital transformation becomes inevitable. This study examines the efforts of Pondok Buntet Islamic Boarding School Cirebon in embracing digital tools to enhance governance transparency. The primary objective is to analyze how Islamic boarding schools manage information openness in the context of modernization and to explore strategies adopted by Pondok Buntet Pesantren in navigating these changes. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with pesantren administrators and direct field observations. Findings indicate that the pesantren has initiated steps toward an information openness framework, primarily focusing on transparency in religion and community-related activities. Nonetheless, limitations such as inadequate access to technology and the absence of standardized regulations continue to hinder broader implementation. The study concludes by recommending the development of more comprehensive and accessible information systems within Islamic boarding schools to strengthen institutional accountability and transparency in the digital era.
