Abstract

This study aims to know the relation between students’interest song on their speaking skill. There are some problems such as what are the interest students in song has relation with their speaking skill. This study was conducted to the first semester students at STKIP Kusumanegara Jakarta. Reasearch of the method is quantitative with twenty students as the sample. Data was collected by speaking test, questionnaire which has relation students’interest in song. This study use two variable. Independent variable is students’interest in song and dependent variable is speaking skill. The result from this study, it was gotten sig. (2.tailed) 0.014 < 0.05, it means high score in speaking skill influenced by students’interest in song. There is positive relation between students’interest in song on their speaking skill. Coefficient correlation 0.539 > 0.05, it means if students’interest is high so speaking skill is high and if students’interest in song is low so their speaking skill is low.

Abstract

Leadership is the way a leader influences the behavior of subordinates to want to work together and work effectively and efficiently to achieve organizational goals. Democratic leadership, also known as participatory leadership, is a type of leadership style in which group members take a more participatory role in the decision-making process. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the IQF curriculum to determine the effect of students' democratic leadership style on the IQF. The sample used in this study amounted to 45 respondents from 157 students. Data collection techniques are through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results obtained in this study are the process of completing the KKNI task. The democratic style plays a very important role in stimulating student motivation in assignments. Active students will definitely get good results in working on KKNI assignments. With the research that has been carried out, it appears that the implementation of the IQF in the student learning process has been said to be good, although it still needs improvement in aspects such as plagiarism and others.

Abstract

The research aims to know the effect SQ4R technique on students’ reading comprehension, to know how the implementation SQ4R technique on students’ reading comprehension. The research conducted to the second semester on students English Education program of STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta. They are two classes, experiment class and control class. There were 40 students. This research is quantitative method using SPSS 20 software. Experiment class is using SQ4R technique and control class using conventional learning. Instrument reading comprehension was given to experiment class after it class was given by treatment SQ4R technique. The instrument is multiple choice. Then researcher do normality and also homogeinity test. Students’reading comprehension use SQ4R technique get score mean = 85.70; median = 86.50; variance = 20.236, students’ reading comprehension use conventional learning mean = 68.60; median = 69.50; variance = 41.200. There is significant effect (SQ4R) technique on students’ reading comprehension. It can be known that t-score was 16.884 and sig = 0.000 < 0.05. It shown that SQ4R technique give effects to increase students’ ability in reading comprehension.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini, dosen melakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Tujuan dilakukan penelitian terseut adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana progress perbaikan keterampilan listening mahasiswa setelah menggunakan media google classroom, apakah media google classroom efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan listening serta bagaimana implementasinya dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Penelitian dilakukan kepada mahasiswa prodi pendidikan bahasa Inggris sebanyak 20 mahasiswa. Penelitian terdiri dalam dua siklus yang setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan. Keempat tahapan tersebut adalah perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan serta refleksi. Pada siklus pertama diperoleh hasil sebanyak 70% mahasiswa tuntas dalam pembelajaran keterampilan listening dan pada siklus kedua didapatkan hasil 100% mahasiswa tuntas dalam pembelajaran listening. Kendala yang muncul dalam menggunakan media google classroom adalah koneksi jaringan internet yang kurang stabil serta faktor keterbatasan dalam pemahaman kosakata yang di dengar dengan akses british dan aksen american. Untuk itulah dosen menggunakan media google classroom, mahasiswa dapat mendownload materi kemudian menyimpannya secara offline serta mereka dapat melatih mendengarkan kosakata sendiri.

Abstract

Learnsocial merupakan sejenis platform yang berfungsi sebagai media dalam pembelajaran yang membantu dosen ataupun guru dalam menyampaikan materi. Materi yang  telah disampaikan dikelas dapat diulas kembali oleh mahasiswa dengan menggunakan platform learnsocial. Mahasiswa dapat mempelajari materi yang telah diberikan dosen dimana saja, karena platform learnsocial dapat diakses menggunakan handphone, laptop atau komputer. Dalam keadaan offline mahasiswa tetap dapat mengakses materi yang telah didownload tetapi untuk mendengarkan native speaker dibutuhkan jaringan internet yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada mahasiswa semester dua Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Kusuma Negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Classroom Action Research atau penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Pada siklus pertama didapatkan hasil 45% mahasiswa yang sudah tuntas dalam pembelajaran  kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris dengan  rata-rata nilai mahasiswa sebesar 71,3. Pada siklus kedua didapatkan hasil 90% mahasiswa dengan kemampuan berbicara dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 88,5 yang artinya 90% mahasiswa tuntas dapat menggunakan platform learnsocial dalam kemampuan berbicara. Platform learnsocial mudah digunakan mahasiswa dan dosen. Platform tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam berbicara bahasa Inggris. Hal tersebut terbukti dengan ketuntasan dalam kemampuan berbicara pada siklus I dan siklus II. Platform learnsocial efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran selain ramah lingkungan juga mudah digunakan.

Abstract

This research was aims to know students’ reading comprehension ability after the researcher was given treatement to the students. The students was given treatment by SQ4R technique. SQ4R technique means survey, question, read, reflect, recite and reviews. This research was conducted to SMP genesis Medicare Cimanggis Depok. The students was conducted eight grade. This research used Classroom Action Research Method. It was consists of three cycle. In every cycle, there are four steps. Planning, acting, observing and the reflecting. After researcher was conducted eight grade students, it was gotten in Cycle I there are 60% students pass KKM, and in Cycle II there are75 % students pass KKM then in Cycle III, there are 95 % students pass KKM. Students get improve in their reading comprehension trough SQ4R technique.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the effect of learning method on students’ speaking skill, the effect learning method on critical thinking, and the effect learning method learning method on students’ speaking skill and critical thinking. Lecturer was chosen Students Team Achievement Division (STAD) and Jigsaw. Through learning method, researcher supposed to the students to get fluency in speaking English This research uses experimental research. Sample of this research was 30 students sixth semester Educational English Program at STKIP Kusumanegara. It was divided into two classes, that is, experiment class and control class. Collecting of the data was by using questionnaire and test speaking. Data was analysed using Kolmogorov Smirnow, to identify the data was normality. Then data was analysed by using Levenue to define that the data was homogeinity. It was obtained hypothesis, from the table Multivariate Test with F=74.642, sig 0.000 (<0.05). The results show that there is significant effect learning method towards Speaking Skills and Critical Thinking. It represents that F=145.499, p-value for category speaking skill (Y1) is 0.000 (<0.05), in which H0 is rejected or there is differences significant between students’ speaking skill in students’ group which was given by learning method with STAD with students’ speaking skill in students’ group which was given by learning method with Jigsaw. It represents that F=145.499, p-value for category critical thinking (Y2) is 0.000 (<0.05), in which H0 is rejected or there is differences significant between critical thinking in students’ group which was given by learning method with STAD with critical thinking in students’ group which was given by learning method with Jigsaw.

Abstract

The target of class is second grade students of Gunung Kaler 2 Junior High school in Tangerang Regency, the subjects of this study were conducted toward students of class VII A which contains of 32 students in the class. The purpose of this study was to enhance students' writing skill in argument throughbrainwriting. It is a qualitative research that using a classroom action research method. In this research consist 3 cycles, where each cycle consists of 4 steps namely planning, acting, observation, and reflecting. The data collected through observation, writing test, and interview. The result of the research showed that students’ writing skill in argument could enhance significantly after applied brainwriting to them. For KKM score is 75, it could seemed from the percentage in cycle one was 61. Then in cycle two percentage became 86, the percentage became 100% Based on the data collected that implementing braiinwriting could enhance students’ writing skill in argument. Because through brainwriting makes students could be understand deeply related text types accordance of the context use and students could create the text well. Based on the explanation above, it could be conclude that enhancing students’ writing in argumenttive through brainwriting was effective way in teaching learning process especially in learning writing in argument.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence the interference and code mixing have on the family environment which is motivated by differences in regional origins, which include differences in the language of origin of the family members. Language as a means of communication and a means of interaction that only humans have, language can be studied internally and externally. Internal study means that the study is only carried out on the internal structure of the language, such as its phonological structure, its morphological structure, or its syntactic structure. This internal study will produce only that language without any connection with other problems outside of language. This internal study is carried out using theories and procedures that exist in the linguistic discipline only. On the other hand, the study externally means that the study is carried out on matters or factors that are outside the language associated with the use of the language by its speakers in social groups.
