Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media poster terhadap hasil belajar kosakata bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDIT Amal Mulia Tapos Kota Depok menggunakan metode eksperimen yang dilakukan kepada 40 siswa. Tujuan pembelajaran ini adalah untuk (1). Mengetahui hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang di ajar dengan tidak menggunakan media Poster; (2). Mengetahui hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang di ajar menggunakan media Poster; (3). Mengetahui secara empiris pengaruh penerapan Media Poster terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen, dengan jumlah sampel masing-masing kelompok sebanyak 20 orang, yang diambil menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah intrumen tes berbentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal. Uji persyaratan analisis data yang dilakukan adalah uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, sehingga analisa komparasi dapat dilanjutkan dengan statistik parametrik. Hasil analisis dan uji hipotesis diperoleh (1). Hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa kelompok eksperimen atau siswa yang di ajar dengan media Poster berada pada kategori tinggi, telihat dari hasil yang diperoleh: nilai rata = 83,15; median = 85,5; modus = 88,92; dan simpangan baku = 8,6 (2). Hasil belajar bahasa Inggris kelompok kontrol atau siswa yang di ajar tidak menggunakan media Poster berada pada kategori sedang terlihat dari hasil yang diperoleh: nilai rata = 67; median = 73; modus = 64,9;  dan simpangan baku = 12,8  (3). Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukan bahwa nilai thitung  = 4,68 dan nilai ttabel  = untuk α = 0,05 dan db = 38 sebesar 1,6866; yang berarti terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris antara siswa yang di ajar menggunakan media pembelajaran Poster  dengan siswa yang diajar dengan  tidak menggunakan media pembelajaran Poster. Untuk selanjutnya disarankan agar guru menggunakan media pembelajaran berupa poster sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang lain sehingga proses belajar mengajar berlangsung efektif dan efisien. Kata Kunci :  Media Pembelajaran Poster, Hasil Belajar Kosakata Bahasa Inggris AbstractThis research aims to know the influence of media posters against the results of learning vocabulary United Kingdom. The research method used was an experiment, with the number of samples of each group as many as 20 people, drawn using random sampling techniques. The instruments used are the instruments the test multiple choice shaped as much as 20 items. Test data analysis requirements does is test its homogeneity and normality test, so that comparisons can proceed with the analysis of statistical parametric. Analysis results and test hypotheses obtained (1). United Kingdom language learning results students experimental groups or students in learning with media Posters are on a high category, evident from the results obtained: median value = 83.15; median = 85.5; mode = 88.92; and raw Byway = 8.6 (2). Language learning outcomes United Kingdom control group or students who are in the lead, does not use the media Poster is on the category are visible from the results obtained: the median value = 67; median = 73; mode = 64.9;  and raw Byway = 12.8 (3). Hypothesis test results show that the value of thitung = 4,68 dan nilai ttabel = 4.68 and the value for α = 0.05 and db = 38 of 1.6866; which means that there is a difference between United Kingdom language learning results of students in learning using learning media posters with students who were taught by not using the media learning posters. For further recommended that teachers use learning media in the form of posters as an alternative to other learning media so that teaching and learning take place effectively and efficiently. Keywords: Learning Media Posters, Vocabulary Learning Outcomes United Kingdom

Abstract

Kebiasaan menonton film berbahasa inggris menggunakan English Subtitle dapat mendorong mahasiswa memiliki kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris yang baik karena dalam berbicara dibutuhkan penguasaan kosakata serta susunan kata, frase, kalimat juga maksud yang disampaikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan menonton film berbahasa Inggris menggunakan English Subtitle dan kemampuan berbicara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester tiga Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris STKIP Kusumanegara Jakarta. Metode Penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan mengambil sampel berjumlah 20 mahasiswa. Data yang diambil berupa tes kemampuan berbicara dan kuesioner kebiasaan mahasiswa menonton film berbahasa Inggris menggunakan English subtitle. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua variable. Variabel bebas yaitu kebiasaan menonton film berbahasa Inggris menggunakan English subtitle dan variable terikat yaitu kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut diperoleh sig. (2-tailed) 0.014 < 0.05 artinya kemampuan berbicara yang tinggi dipengaruhi oleh kebiasaan menonton film. Terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kebiasaan menonton film berbahasa Inggris dengan English subtitle dan  kemampuan berbicara. Taraf koefisien korelasi 0.539 > 0.05 Maksudnya yaitu apabila tingkat kebiasaan menonton film berbahasa Inggris tinggi maka kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris pun tinggi dan apabila tingkat kebiasaan menonton film barat rendah  maka kemampuan berbicara bahasa Inggris pun rendah

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence the interference and code mixing have on the family environment which is motivated by differences in regional origins, which include differences in the language of origin of the family members. Language as a means of communication and a means of interaction that only humans have, language can be studied internally and externally. Internal study means that the study is only carried out on the internal structure of the language, such as its phonological structure, its morphological structure, or its syntactic structure. This internal study will produce only that language without any connection with other problems outside of language. This internal study is carried out using theories and procedures that exist in the linguistic discipline only. On the other hand, the study externally means that the study is carried out on matters or factors that are outside the language associated with the use of the language by its speakers in social groups.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris mahasiswa dengan teknik mind mapping di STKIP Kusuma Negara, Jakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Classroom Action Research. Penelitian yang dilakukan terdiri dari dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan. Tahapan tersebut adalah perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan sampel 25 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan test. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris mahasiswa dengan teknik mind mapping yang ditunjukkan dengan persentase ketuntasan 72% serta nilai rata-rata83.24. Pada siklus I terdapat 28 % mahasiswa yang sudah tuntas atau melebihi KKM yaitu 80, dengan nilai rata-rata 75.68, pada siklus II terdapat 72 % atau nilai rata-rata 83.24. Mahasiswa memberikan respon yang baik selama proses pembelajaran, mereka antusias dan bersemangat ketika menulis bahasa Inggris dengan teknik mind mapping. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik mind mapping dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis bahasa Inggris mahasiswa di STKIP Kusuma Negara.

Abstract

The research has done of the seventh grade students at SMP Swasta Depok by using the experimental research method. The total sample of this research followed by 60 students. The writer applied the purpose sampling to determine the sample. The technique of collecting data power point teaching media used likert scale or questioners, sentence structure mastery and the writing skill was acquired from the test. The research of instrument has tested and tried by the validity and the reliability test used the programs of SPSS (statistic program social science) The data was analysed by using 2 way analysis of variances (ANOVA). Before doing the analysis, the data normality was tested by using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to see if the population where the sample was taken had normal distribution. The next analysis is to test the data homogeneity by using levenu’s test, to see if the population was derived from homogenous population. The result of the research concluded: 1). Using power point teaching media gave the significant effect to the student’s writing skill. Test result obtained that p-value for category learning media is 0.000 (< 0.05), then the conclusion is that there is significant difference towards student’s writing skill in the application conventional teaching media. 2). Sentence structure mastery gave the significant effect to the student’s writing skill. Test result obtained that p-value for sentence structure mastery 0.000 (<0.05). 3). There is interaction influence between using media learning and sentence structure mastery towards student’s writing skill. Test result retrieved that p-value for category of teaching media and sentence structure mastery is 0.001 (< 0.05).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know whether there is any correlation between students’anxiety and speaking skill at STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta, first semester  academic year 2018/2019.This research used quantitative method and the design was correlational research. The sample of this research consists of 25 students. The data of the students’anxiety were collected by using the questionaire which was adopted from foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale Horwitz et.at FLCAS, while the data of students’speaking skill were collected by using speaking test. In this research, researcher has two variables, independent variable which variable students’anxiety and dependent variable consists of students’ speaking skill.The researcher use SPSS program, before doing the analysis the data normality was tested by using Kolmogorf-Smirnov test to see if the population was distributed normal. The result of this research concluded that there is significant correlation between variable (X) students’anxiety and variable (Y) speaking skill. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05. It means that students who have higher speaking skill, they was influenced by anxiety. The value of correlation coefficient is -0.629 <0.5. It means that there is negative correlation between students’anxiety and speaking skill. If the students’anxiety is high so speaking skill is low and if the students’anxiety is low so speaking skill is high.

Abstract

The purposes of this research is to know the effect mind mapping technique and vocabulary mastery on students’writing skill. Also how the implementation mind mapping technique on students’writing skill. Students need vocabulary mastery to arrange the sentences for getting a good paragraph and mind mapping technique is one of the technique that use to treat students for getting writing well. This research use experiments method. There were 40 students chosen at random from fourth grade semester English Education at STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta.Collecting data use test writing skill. Research of instrument has tested and tried by the validity and reliability test used the SPSS (Statistic Program Social Science). Data analyzed by using kolmogorv Smirov, know data was normality.The text analysis is to test the data homogeneity  by using Levenu’s test, to see if the population was derived from homogeneous population. The result of this research concluded  that 1) Using Mind Mapping Technique has significant effect on student’s writing skill. Result  F for mind mapping (A) Fo=290.285 and sig.= 0.000<0.05, then the conclusion is that there is significant effect between mind mapping technique  (X1) on student’s writing skills. 2). Vocabulary mastery gave the significant effect to the student’s writing skill. Result research F for vocabulary mastery (B) Fo=91.401 and sig.= 0.000<0.05. It has shown that there is significant effect vocabulary mastery (X2) on student’s writing skills. 3) There is significant effect interaction between mind mapping and vocabulary mastery on student’s writing skill. Result of this research F from mind mapping (A) and vocabulary (B) Fo=5.274 and sig.=0.028<0.05. Using mind mapping technique in learning give effect in students’writing skill. Abstract

This research conducted in STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta. It uses experiment method who 40 students first semester. This research purposes: (1). To know result of the research which doesn’t use DRTA strategy. (2). To knowresult of the research which use DRTA strategy. (3). To know the effect Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) on Students’ Reading Comprehension. Method of the research is experiment. It consists of 40 students. There are 20 students group experiment class and 20 students groupcontrol class. Instrument reading comprehension is multiple choice, as much as twenty items. It uses random sampling technique. Test data analysis use homogeneity test and normality test, in order that it can proceed with the analysis of statistical parametric. Analysis results and hypothesis obtained (1). students’reading comprehension using DRTA strategies: mean = 85.80; median= 85.50 ; variance= 22.695; (2). students’ reading comprehension using conventional learning: mean =68.65 ; median= 68.00 ; variance=18.766. (3). There is significant effect directed reading thinking activity (DRTA) towards students’reading comprehension. It can be seen that t-score was 21.291 and sig.=0.000 < 0.05. It can be concluded that DRTA strategies give effects to increase students’ability in reading comprehension. Student encourage to give prediction and think the reading text. DRTA strategies suitable to apply in teaching reading comprehension in STKP Kusuma Negara Jakarta.

Abstract

This research used quantitative research. It was use Classroom Action Research (PTK). In COVID 19 era, research used Platform Learnsocial to improve students’ listening skill. The aims of the research is to knowing that Platform learn social can improve students’ listening skill, to knowing that Platform learn social can be used as one of the media in learning Listening. This research consists of two cycle. Every cycle consists of four steps. The first steps is planning, second is acting, third is observing and the fourth is reflecting. Result of the research in Cycle I, there is 50% students pass in listening skill and 50% students fail in listening skill. Then in Cycle II, there is 83% students pass in listening skill and 16% students fail in listening skill. It can be shown that Platform Learnsocial can be one of the media that suitable to improve students’listening skill.
