Abstract

Scientific writing training was conducted at SMAN 7 Sinjai as an effort to improve the competence of educators in writing scientific articles. This activity was motivated by the low ability of teachers to conduct research and write research results in the format of articles that can be published in reputable journals. This programme was implemented for eight months using online and offline training methods, including licensing, site preparation, socialisation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results of the activities showed that the training participants successfully gained an understanding of scientific article writing techniques, including literature searches, the use of tools such as the Mendeley application, and writing formats according to journal standards. In addition, the teachers successfully drafted scientific articles for publication submission. This programme is expected to contribute to improving teachers' professionalism and motivate them to contribute to the development of science through scientific publications. Abstrak Pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah dilakukan di SMAN 7 Sinjai sebagai upaya meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga pendidik dalam menulis artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan guru dalam melakukan penelitian serta menuliskan hasil penelitian dalam format artikel yang dapat diterbitkan di jurnal bereputasi. Program ini dilaksanakan selama delapan bulan dengan metode pelatihan daring dan luring, meliputi tahap perizinan, persiapan lokasi, sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, hingga evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan berhasil memperoleh pemahaman tentang teknik penulisan artikel ilmiah, termasuk pencarian literatur, penggunaan alat bantu seperti aplikasi Mendeley, serta format penulisan sesuai standar jurnal. Selain itu, para guru berhasil menyusun draft artikel ilmiah untuk pengajuan publikasi. Program ini diharapkan berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan memotivasi mereka untuk berkontribusi pada pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan melalui publikasi ilmiah.

Abstract

This community service focuses on improving the competence of Pao-Pao State Elementary School teachers in implementing sponge media as an art teaching aid. Through focused training, teachers were intensively trained to master sponge painting techniques and understand the significance of art in the learning process. The evaluation results showed a significant improvement in teachers' ability to create innovative and interesting artworks. Thus, it is expected to stimulate students' creativity and make art learning more fun and interactive. The importance of continuous training in developing the quality of art education at the primary school level is also emphasised in this study. The training not only provides direct benefits for the teachers, but also has a positive impact on the students' learning process and ultimately, on improving the overall quality of education. Abstrak Pengabdian masyarakat ini fokus pada peningkatan kompetensi guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri Pao-Pao dalam mengimplementasikan media spons sebagai alat bantu mengajar seni lukis. Melalui pelatihan yang terarah, para guru dilatih secara intensif untuk menguasai teknik-teknik melukis menggunakan spons serta memahami signifikansi seni dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan guru dalam menciptakan karya seni yang inovatif dan menarik. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat merangsang kreativitas siswa dan membuat pembelajaran seni menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan interaktif. Pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan dalam pengembangan kualitas pendidikan seni di tingkat sekolah dasar juga ditekankan dalam penelitian ini. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat langsung bagi para guru, tetapi juga berdampak positif pada proses pembelajaran siswa dan pada akhirnya, pada peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to various creative industries, including architecture. AI can enhance efficiency and creativity in the design process by assisting in data analysis, concept creation, and developing more innovative design variations. Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, has great potential to explore this technology due to their adaptive digital skills. However, challenges such as copyright issues and dependence on AI remain concerns in its implementation. This community service activity aims to introduce and educate students and young professionals about the utilization of AI in architecture. The methods used include an introductory session, socialization and workshops, as well as reflection and evaluation. The results of this activity indicate that AI can be an effective tool in architectural design but still requires the role of architects to ensure quality, creativity, and sustainability in design. With the right approach, AI can serve as a catalyst for innovation in the architectural field.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah secara fundamental cara manusia bekerja dan menggunakan ruang, termasuk meningkatnya kebutuhan akan co-working space yang adaptif, sehat, dan fleksibel. Dalam konteks urban tropis seperti Yogyakarta, tantangan desain ruang kerja menjadi lebih kompleks karena dipengaruhi oleh iklim, densitas kota, dan budaya kerja kolektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip desain interior resilien pada layout co-working space melalui studi kasus Sinergi Space Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Design Thinking yang terdiri dari lima tahap: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test, dengan basis data primer dan sekunder serta simulasi skematik layout. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prinsip seperti zonasi modular, pemisahan zona aktif-pasif, ventilasi silang alami, serta penggunaan partisi visual dan signage spasial dapat diterapkan untuk menciptakan ruang kerja yang tangguh terhadap perubahan kondisi sosial dan kesehatan. Studi ini juga menyoroti pentingnya integrasi nilai lokal dan strategi adaptif dalam perancangan co-working space di wilayah tropis. Kontribusi utama dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi desain interior yang kontekstual, sehat, dan kolaboratif untuk menghadapi era pascapandemi, sekaligus memperkaya literatur desain resilien di kawasan urban tropis.
