Abstract

This article aims to analyze the local value of moderate attitudes and the habituation process of moderate attitudes based on social space in Besowo Kepung Kediri. This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type to explore data related to the habitus model at the research location. Data was obtained through observations and interviews in the field as well as supporting documentation. Where data sources through informants were taken from some Besowo residents who were considered knowledgeable and competent to answer research questions including community leaders, religious leaders and village government. The analysis was carried out in three simultaneous stages, namely, condensation, verification and data presentation. The research results state: 1) Local values ​​of moderate attitudes that exist at the research location include tolerance, compassion, willingness to accept other people's religions, gentleness in religious activities, and justice. These local values ​​are applied well so that the community has a high awareness of the importance of caring for diversity so that cultural immunity emerges. 2) The process of habituation to a moderate attitude receives a response and support from religious leaders, stakeholders, and the village government. Everyone is active in habituating moderate attitudes to direct society to adopt cultural values ​​that support moderate attitudes. Habituation is strengthened by the behavior of religious communities who support each other with policy makers to create conduciveness.

Abstract

In today's era of rapid globalization and modernization, each generation in Indonesia has distinct characteristics, particularly in their ways of thinking, interacting, and facing life's challenges. Generation Y (millennials) and Generation Z, who are now entering the world of education, have very different mindsets and adaptation methods compared to previous generations. One of the major challenges faced by educators is how to address these differences, particularly in teaching Islamic religious values and shaping students' religious character amidst the rapid development of technology and social dynamics. The transition from Generation Y to Generation Z brings significant changes in the world of education, particularly for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers. Generation Z, more familiar with digital technology and the internet, often has a more interactive and visual learning style. They tend to prioritize fast and easily accessible information, and are more open to global cultural influences. This phenomenon presents new challenges for PAI teachers in delivering Islamic religious learning materials that are contextual, relevant, and easily understood by students. The transformation of PAI teachers in shaping students' religious character in this transitional era requires a deep understanding of existing social, technological, and cultural changes. Islamic Religious Education teachers are not only required to possess in-depth knowledge of religious teachings but also to be able to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of today's students. For example, the use of digital technology in Islamic religious education can facilitate students' access to various relevant information sources, such as Islamic preaching videos, Islamic learning apps, or e-books that can enhance their understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of multiliteracy-based learning in the Aqidah Akhlak subject for ninth-grade students at MTs Nurul Huda, East Jakarta. The research investigates how multiliteracy approaches are integrated into classroom instruction, the strategies used by teachers, the responses of students, and the challenges encountered during the process. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation analysis. The findings indicate that multiliteracy learning—encompassing linguistic, visual, digital, and cultural literacies—has been gradually adopted to enhance students’ understanding of moral and religious values. Teachers utilize various media and interactive activities, such as videos, group discussions, and contextual moral case studies, to engage learners. Students respond positively to these approaches, demonstrating improved participation and comprehension. However, challenges remain, particularly in terms of digital infrastructure and the need for ongoing teacher training. Overall, multiliteracy-based learning in Aqidah Akhlak contributes to more meaningful and relevant moral education by aligning content with students’ real-life experiences and the demands of the 21st century.

Abstract

MTsN 9 Kediri in implementing the study activity program knows nature and the environment in several areas in besides that the main purpose is to refresh the spirit of learning and also instill Islamic values. The focus of research in this article is to describe, the islamic value implemented during the study of nature and the environment at MTsN 9 Kediri, efforts in applying Islamic values to the behavior and attitudes of students when conducting study activities to know nature and the environment, the implications faced in integrating Islamic values in study activities to know nature and the environment at MTsN 9 Kediri. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection techniques used observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study, namely: (1) Islamic values that are implemented during the study of nature and the environment at MTsN 9 Kediri are first Faith: tawheed, shukr, du’a and tawakkul, maintaining trust. Second Shari’ah: selection of tourist destinations, shari’ah accommodation, honest transactions. Third, Morals: Honesty and integrity, patience and tolerance, respect for the environment and cleanliness. (2) Efforts in applying Islamic values: Faith which can be done on belief in Allah, Shari’ah which can be instilled regulating the relationship between Allah and humans, morals by instilling good moral ethics. (3) The implications and intergration of Islamic values in this activity are to monotheize nature, provide natural space to strengthen faith, shari’ah, and morals. As well as expanding the knowledge and experience of students in learning outside the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic Religious Education PAI in shaping students’ religious character at SMP Queen Al-falah Ploso Mojo Kediri. The background of this research is rooted in the importance of character education as a response to the ongoing moral crisis among students, as well as the strategic role of PAI in instilling religious and moral values. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a phenomenological method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed inductively using source and technique triangulation to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that PAI instruction at SMP Queen Al-Falah is carried out systematically and is integrated with students’ religious activities, such as congregational prayers, Qur’an recitation (tadarus), and other worship practices. PAI teachers actively serve as role models, facilitators, and motivators in shaping students’ character through contextual and participatory learning approaches.Despite challenges such as limited teaching media and diverse student backgrounds, the I mplementation of PAI has had a positive impact on strengthening students’ faith, discipline, sense of responsibility, and social behavior. The school’s religious culture and the supportive pesantren environment further reinforce the internalization of Islamic values in students' daily lives. In conclusion, the study affirms that PAI is not merely religious instruction but serves as a fundamental foundation for character building among the younger generation. It is recommended that PAI teachers continue to develop active and contextual learning methods, and that schools enhance their religious environment as part of a comprehensive effort to support students' character development

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of a project-based learning strategy in entrepreneurship courses to foster independence and Islamic work ethics among Islamic Psychology students. The background of this research stems from the need for a learning model that not only develops entrepreneurial competence but also integrates Islamic values into students’ work attitudes. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with the subjects of fifth-semester Islamic Psychology students enrolled in the Entrepreneurship course. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and documentation of individual business plan projects, as well as an industrial visit to CV Nugraha Jaya, a small-medium enterprise producing various types of chips. The results indicate that project-based learning encourages students to be active, creative, and independent in designing applicable business ideas. Through contextual learning experiences in the field, students were able to connect entrepreneurial theories with real-world practice while internalizing Islamic work values such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and diligence. This strategy not only enhances students’ entrepreneurial skills but also strengthens their Islamic character as future professionals with integrity. Therefore, the project-based learning strategy in entrepreneurship education can serve as an effective alternative to integrate intellectual, professional, and spiritual development within Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

Education is a strategic process largely determined by the quality of educators in designing, managing, and guiding the learning process. This study aims to analyze the optimization of classroom management through collaboration between lecturers and students to improve the effectiveness of Introductory Islamic Studies learning for first-semester students in the islamic psychology Education (PI) Study Program at Tribakti Islamic University. The need for participatory and adaptive classroom management is crucial given the characteristics of today's generation of students who demand more dialogic interactions. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation, this study found that collaborative-based classroom management can create a more interactive and conducive learning environment and increase student motivation and discipline. This collaboration also strengthens learning responsibility and improves two-way communication, resulting in increased understanding of the Introductory Islamic Studies material. This demonstrates that collaborative classroom management is an effective strategy for improving the quality of learning processes and outcomes in Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

The project-based learning (PJBL) method is used in the learning process to enhance students’ critical and creative thinking skills. This research originated from the need to improve students’ abilities in facing the challenges of modern education, which require analytical capacity, problem-solving skills, and innovation. PJBL was selected because it emphasizes solving real-world projects and encourages students to collaborate and engage in investigative processes. A descriptive qualitative method was employed in this study, with data sources consisting of learning documents, course instructors, and students. Observation, interviews, and document analysis were used as data collection techniques. The results of the study indicate that the use of PJBL can increase student participation in learning activities, enhance their ability to analyze psychological concepts more deeply, and generate creative ideas in completing projects. This research is expected to serve as an innovative alternative learning method that can improve both the process and outcomes of learning in educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of khidmah as a form of experiential learning in developing resilience and an entrepreneurial spirit. The research method uses a case study approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis in the context of Islamic boarding schools. The results show that khidmah contributes significantly to the formation of resilience by strengthening the values of responsibility, discipline, independence, integrity, and adaptability. In addition, the practice of khidmah in managing Islamic boarding school business units also serves as an effective learning space for entrepreneurship, training managerial skills, creativity, decision-making, and collaboration. Thus, khidmah is not only a means of forming religious character, but also a holistic learning model that strengthens mental toughness and fosters an entrepreneurial spirit based on spiritual and social values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the congregational Dhuha prayer program in developing students’ character at MIN 1 Siak. The program is implemented as an effort to strengthen character education by instilling religious values through routine and structured religious activities. The research employed a qualitative method with a case study approach, in which data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the consistent implementation of the congregational Dhuha prayer is able to enhance students’ spiritual awareness, foster discipline, develop a sense of responsibility, and improve positive social interactions among students. These outcomes significantly contribute to the formation of good moral character in accordance with Islamic values. Thus, the congregational Dhuha prayer program serves as an effective model for student character development within the madrasah environment.
