Abstract

This study aims to improve competence by providing knowledge and skills regarding maintenance and repair of electric vehicle technology (electric vehicle technology) to automotive productive teachers at Al Mufti Vocational School, Subang Regency. The training uses multiple approaches to simplify, strengthen and apply. The approach used is persuasive, collaborative and participatory. The method used is discussion, lecture, question and answer, demonstration and practice on electric cars, electric motorcycles and decomposed components. The level of achievement based on knowledge and skills carried out by post-test and pretest as well as performance tests shows the achievement of competence of 80 percent, so it is hoped that participants can transfer this electric vehicle technology to students in anticipation of the development and transition of driving technology from internal combustion engines (ICE) to electric drive.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan analisis perbandingan laju korosi pada cakram ex-Jepang dan cakram tanpa merek dalam medium korosif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan laju korosi antara cakram ex-Jepang dan cakram tanpa merek pada medium korosif. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua medium korosif yaitu larutan NaCl dan larutan Na2CO3 masing-masing mempunyai konsentrasi 3,5%. Sebelum melakukan uji laju korosi, dilakukan uji spektrometri untuk mengetahui masing-masing unsur yang terkandung dalam cakram ex-Jepang dan cakram tanpa merek. Hasil dari pengujian spektrometri membuktikan bahwa unsur masing masing cakram mempunyai unsur yang berbeda-beda yang disinyalir membuat laju korosi pun berbeda-beda. Manfaat dari penelitian ini untuk sebagai media informasi untuk membandingkan laju korosi antara cakram ex-jepang dan cakram tanpa merek. Laju korosi dihitung menggunakan metode kehilangan massa. Penelitian menggunakan 4 variasi waktu. Pengujian dilakukan pada 7, 14, 21 dan 28 hari. Hasil perhitungan setalah dilakukan penelitian menunjukan rata-rata laju korosi tertinggi pada medium larutan NaCl dimiliki oleh cakram tanpa merek pada hasil tertinggi hari ke-21 dengan hasil laju korosi sebesar 50 x 10-6 mm/ tahun. Sama halnya pada medium larutan Na2CO3, hasil laju korosi cakram tanpa merek mempunyai nilai yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan cakram ex-Jepang dengan hasil rata-rata sebesar 6 x 10-6 mm/ tahun. Pada kesimpulannya, medium korosif berupa larutan NaCl mempunyai tingkat korosifitas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan larutan Na2CO3 dan cakram tanpa merek mempunyai nilai laju korosi lebih tinggi dibandingkan cakram ex-Jepang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of student interest in learning on the competence of metal casting engineering courses during the covid-19 pandemic. This research design uses a descriptive research type with a quantitative approach. This study uses samples from Mechanical Engineering Education Students class of 2017 and 2018. Students have carried out online learning using the zoom meeting application in the Metal Casting Engineering course during the covid-19 pandemic with a total sample of 36 people. The results of this study are that the student's interest in learning and the competence of mechanical engineering education students in metal casting engineering courses during the covid-19 pandemic are in the high category. There is a positive and significant relationship and influence between student interest in learning and the competence of metal casting engineering courses during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to implement a cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type in improving student learning outcomes in the Basic Automotive Engineering (PDTO) subject of Motorcycle Engineering and Business Department at Setia Bhakti Vocational School, Cilawu Garut for the 2022/2023 academic year. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) uses the Kemmis and Taggart research model. The research flow consists of (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class X TBSM SMK Setia Bhakti, Cilawu Garut, totaling 25 students. The research data were obtained using student activity observation sheets, interviews with PDTO subject teachers and with learning outcomes tests. The technique used to analyze the data is a qualitative descriptive technique. The results of this study indicate an increase in the percentage of completeness of PDTO learning outcomes for students of class X TBSM SMK Setia Bhakti in each cycle. In Cycle I, the percentage of students' learning completeness was 56% with an average grade of 74.48. In the second cycle the percentage of students' learning completeness reached 93.75% with an average grade of 89.14.

Abstract

Covid-19 cases spread throughout the world. This Covid-19 case has disturb to all aspects of life, even the education sector has been affected. The government’s efforts to continue the learning process with distance learning (online)  as known as online learning. Expansion of this technology has begun to be used by several schools in Indonesia to implementation of their educational programs, as known as e-learning. One of them is using LMS Moddle. LMS Moddle supports to submit of learning materials, assessment, collaboration and interaction between teacher and student. Aircraft Component Machining subject were delivered by distance learning model in Vocational High School. This study aims to determine improvement of student learning outcomes with the application of online learning models. The design of this study uses Quasi-Experimental Design with Equivalent Time Series types. The research sample was 30 students from class XI Vocational High School at Bandung. The application of the syntax of the online learning model contains five steps of the learning process, namely performance support materials, self-paced learning, live events, collaboration, and assessment. The results of the study based on average value of N-gain showed that student learning outcomes had increased. User response online learning models are include in interesting category.

Abstract

Due to the pandemic, learning activities in schools must be carried out based on E-learning. The use of E-learning-based learning media is an alternative in online learning. One of them is the use of E-class and Zoom Cloud Meetings, which are expected to improve students’ motivation and students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to determine the comparison between E-class and Zoom Cloud Meetings on students’ learning motivation and students’ learning outcomes. This study uses an experimental method which uses quasi-experimental and non-equivalent control group design. This study took a sample using purposive sampling, with 2 experimental groups and 1 control group. This study also uses two applications, namely E-Class and Zoom Cloud Meetings, by comparing two variables: learning motivation and learning outcomes. Learning motivation and learning outcomes were analysed by descriptive statistical analysis and infertile statistical analysis. The findings of this study showed that there were significant differences in learning motivation and learning outcomes between the two experimental classes, both using Zoom Cloud Meetings application and E-class as indicated by the t-test. Meanwhile, the difference between learning motivation of participants in using E-class and Zoom Cloud Meetings proven by the characteristics of the categories of increasing learning motivation. Quiz features and main characteristics on E-class can increased students’ persistence as their motivation in doing tasks. Meanwhile the use of zoom cloud meetings application can increased learning motivation in terms of giving opinion in a discussion when online learning occurred, because it has a feature which teacher can see students directly. So that teachers can direct their students to be able to discuss with each other and can discuss with each other about the material being taught during the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to create an electronic module for maintaining a security system with readings using the ebook application and to determine the feasibility and response of students as users of this developed module. This study uses the type of research and development with the ADDIE model for the module development process and analyzes research data using quantitative and descriptive methods. The population in this study was shown to class XI students majoring in Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering at Vocational High School 6, Bandung City, and the sample chosen was class XI-2, which used electronic modules for maintenance of safety systems. The instruments used include media expert assessment questionnaires to assess the feasibility of learning module products and student response questionnaires to find out students' responses regarding the use of these modules. The results of this study show that the assessment of the module by material experts gets a percentage value of 90% and can be categorized as "very strong," the results of the module assessment by media experts get a percentage value of 90% and can be categorized as "very strong," and the results of the response to using the module by students get a percentage value of 82.14% and can be categorized as a "very strong" response. It can be concluded that the electronic module for maintenance of the safety system is very suitable for use in learning electrical maintenance of light vehicles, and also that students agree that the electronic module for maintenance of the safety system read on the Eboox Android application has a good and attractive appearance, good presentation of understandable material, and has great benefits, also make it easy.

Abstract

Online learning as a concept certainly has several variables, one of which is student learning motivation. This study aims to determine how much influence caused by online learning via WhatsApp on students' learning motivation and to find out whether online learning has a significant effect and has a positive or negative relationship on students' learning motivation. The author raised the topic of this study after conducting a survey to 15 students and seeing the facts in the form of learning outcomes which indicated a lack of student motivation in online learning. The design of this study used a mix method approach. Data collection techniques use a questionnaire, observation, interview and data analysis using simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that online learning via WhatsApp had a significant influence and had a positive relationship on students' learning motivation, as well as an influence of 55,7% on students' learning motivation, 60.6% on students' desire to carry out learning activities, 30.4% on students' interest in learning activities, 25.7% on encouragement of students to carry out learning activities, 15.2% of the needs of students to carry out learning activities, 8.2% of the students' expectations to achieve their goals, 17.6% of students' desire to achieve their goals, 28.8% of self respect, 18.7% to the attractiveness of learning activities, by 28.3% to the conduciveness of the learning environment.

Abstract

Motorcycle riders are basically required to drive with awareness of orderly behavior on the road. However, the fact is that many motorbike accidents are still caused by negligence, one of which is drowsiness while driving. This research aims to develop a fuzzy logic-based drowsiness prevention tool for motorcyclists. This tool goes through 4 stages of testing, namely power supply, sensor, microcontroller and actuator. The results of testing are that the power supply on this tool functions well, the tools on the motorbike and helmet function well according to the program designed on the microcontroller, the pulse sensor designed for motorbikes does not function as it should, so for temporary research the Max sensor is used 30100 as a pulse reader, buzzer, vibrator and relay in this tool functions well and is more accurate compared to previous research according to the fuzzy rules that have been programmed. The use of sensors on the wrist has proven to be effective in detecting pulse, so that the accuracy of sleepiness readings is in line with pulse readings, namely 100%, which is a follow-up to previous research. Fuzzy logic on the device influences the microcontroller to work accurately according to what has been programmed.

Abstract

This article is a systematic literature review which aims to explore information about the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning media in vocational education. In the Industry 4.0 era, education needs to keep up with technological developments. AI has an important role in creating learning materials and solving problems in educational environments. AI is able to analyze individual learning styles and needs, providing personalized and relevant material. This research reveals that the use of artificial intelligence in vocational education has several important findings. These findings include personalization of learning based on individual learning styles and needs, engaging learning experiences through interactive simulations and educational games, as well as enriching practical experiences through virtual laboratories and industrial simulations. Additionally, the artificial intelligence assessment system is capable of detecting students' weaknesses and strengths in real-time, providing personalized feedback, and assisting in monitoring overall class performance. This research shows that artificial intelligence is not just a tool, but also a partner that drives innovation in vocational education, helps students reach their full potential, and prepares them for a bright future in their chosen industry.
