Abstract

Production department operators perform repetitive work processes continuously, resulting in muscle and joint disorders. The purpose of this research is to identify early and provide preventive strategies for the potential occurrence of diseases due to musculoskeletal disorder complaints. (MSDs). This research is a qualitative study that involves direct observation of the subjects and interviews with sources to collect data using the Quick Exposure Check method. (QEC). The QEC results show that the wave solder workstation has the highest score with a total score of 141 and an exposure score of 80%. The cutting-point workstation has a score of 127 and an exposure score of 72%. The printing workstation has a score of 126 and an exposure score of 78%. The visual inspection workstation has a score of 107 and an exposure score of 61%. Therefore, the priority body parts are back with the highest total score of 30, the arms/shoulders with the highest total score of 36, and the wrists with the highest score of 40.

Abstract

Abstrak – Perkembangan teknologi otomotif modern menuntut peningkatan kompetensi guru di sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK), khususnya dalam bidang sistem bahan bakar diesel berbasis Common Rail. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru-guru produktif di SMK Negeri 5 Gowa dalam pengoperasian mesin kalibrasi sistem Common Rail Diesel. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan workshop berbasis praktik langsung (hands-on training) yang diikuti oleh 10 guru produktif bidang teknik otomotif. Pelatihan meliputi lima tahapan utama, yaitu instalasi test bench, uji kebocoran, overhaul injector, pengukuran shim injector, dan pengujian sistem Common Rail. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta mampu memahami prinsip kerja sistem Common Rail serta mengoperasikan mesin kalibrasi secara mandiri sesuai prosedur standar. Kegiatan ini dinyatakan berhasil meningkatkan kompetensi teknis dan kesiapan guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi otomotif modern ke dalam proses pembelajaran praktik di sekolah. Dengan demikian, program pelatihan ini dapat dijadikan model peningkatan kapasitas guru vokasi yang relevan dengan kebutuhan industri otomotif saat ini.Kata kunci: pelatihan berbasis workshop, Common Rail Diesel, mesin kalibrasi, guru produktif, pendidikan vokasi

Abstract

This research addresses the critical need to systematically benchmark the efficiency of modern drying machine to upgrade the prevailing traditional method for drying cloves. The main objective of this investigation was to analyze comparative efficiency between electric and biomass dryig machine and provide recommendations for the most optimal type of drying machine based on energy consumption, drying time and final moisture content. This study using comparatibe experimental design with controlled cloves samples to collect data and applied one-way ANOVA test for the statictical analysis of significant differences betweeen the machines. The results confirmed that the electric drying machine achieves greates overall efficiency and optimality, providing faster processing times without diminishing the basic quality or final moisture content of the cloves.

Abstract

The increasing consumption of corn in Makassar City generates abundant corn cob waste from households and SMEs (UMKM), which potentially pollutes the environment. This community service program aims to address the waste problem while simultaneously creating a sustainable new business opportunity for housewives. The method employed was training and practical demonstration of black ear mushroom cultivation using corn cobs as the growing medium for the BKMT Annisa Hidayah Women's Group in Mannuruki Village, Makassar, on August 23, 2025. The training covered waste potential counseling, growing media formulation, cultivation management, and harvesting methods. The activity was successfully implemented with high enthusiasm. Practical results show that the women were able to yield an initial harvest of 5–6 Kg per batch, which was successfully marketed at prices ranging from Rp35,000–Rp40,000 per Kg through social media. In conclusion, this program is effective in improving skills, creating profitable home-based business opportunities, and providing a positive impact on environmental sustainability by converting waste into a product of economic value.

Abstract

Abstrak. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dengan tema Diversifikasi Teknologi Pengolahan Gula Aren pada Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Paggolla di Dusun Waessuru, Desa Umpungeng, dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan mitra terkait keterbatasan teknologi, rendahnya efisiensi produksi, keterbatasan pemasaran, serta tantangan lingkungan. Melalui kegiatan ini, diperkenalkan beberapa inovasi teknologi seperti alat pemanjat aren yang aman dan ergonomis, alat pengaduk nira otomatis, alat penggerus gula semi-otomatis, solar dryer berbasis tenaga surya, serta penggunaan kompor gas dan briket biomassa sebagai pengganti kayu bakar. Selain inovasi alat (hard technology), program juga memberikan soft technology berupa pelatihan manajemen usaha, pemasaran digital, branding produk, serta edukasi konservasi lingkungan melalui penanaman pohon pengganti. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan produktivitas, efisiensi waktu, serta kualitas produk gula aren yang lebih seragam dan tahan lama. Diversifikasi produk ke dalam bentuk gula semut dan gula cair membuka peluang pasar yang lebih luas, sementara strategi pemasaran digital dan desain kemasan meningkatkan daya saing produk. Dari sisi sosial, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya keselamatan kerja, konservasi hutan, dan pengelolaan usaha berbasis kelompok. Secara umum, program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pendapatan petani, penguatan kelembagaan KTH, serta keberlanjutan lingkungan melalui penggunaan energi ramah lingkungan. Kata Kunci: Diversifikasi, teknologi pengolahan, gula aren, pemasaran digital, energi ramah lingkungan.

Abstract

Motorcycle starting failures and theft vulnerabilities remain significant issues in many developing regions, primarily owing to weaknesses in mechanical locking systems and inconsistent electrical performance. To address these challenges, this study developed and evaluated a smartphone-controlled smart system that integrates motorcycle starting and security functions using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi communication. This research aims to quantitatively assess the system’s responsiveness, communication stability, energy efficiency, and security performance under both laboratory and real-world operating conditions gaps that remain insufficiently explored in previous studies. The system was built using an ESP32 microcontroller equipped with AES-128 encrypted communication, a relay-based ignition interface, and an intrusion-detection module controlled through a dedicated mobile application. A series of 100 command trials were conducted to measure the latency, functional reliability, wireless transmission stability, power consumption, and alarm response time. The results show that Wi-Fi mode provides faster command execution, with response times consistently lower than Bluetooth mode, while Bluetooth demonstrates higher communication stability and lower energy usage. Both communication modes achieved operational accuracy above 97%, and the security subsystem responded rapidly to intrusion events, activating alarms in approximately 1.3 seconds. These findings indicate that the proposed system achieves a balanced performance across speed, reliability, and energy efficiency, validating its suitability for practical motorcycle automation and security applications. The primary contribution of this study lies in its comprehensive quantitative evaluation framework, which offers deeper empirical insight into IoT-based vehicle control performance. The results also provide a foundation for future advancements, including cloud-integrated monitoring, GPS-based tracking, and AI-driven predictive security.
