Abstract

Having an understanding of the formulation of vision and mission is an important thing in producing a vision and mission in accordance with student development and 21st century skills needs. Teachers, principals, and school supervisors in Nagan Raya Regency as participants in the activity strive to produce a vision and mission that is in accordance with these needs. Departing from this, a training was held to design a vision and mission with the aim that each educational unit has a vision and mission in accordance with the development of elementary school students and the needs of 21st century skills. This training was attended by 34 participants and its implementation used the Asset Based Community Development method. Based on the results of the data analysis, it shows that this activity has helped and contributed to improving the understanding and ability of participants in compiling a vision and mission in accordance with the development of elementary school students and the needs of 21st century skills.

Abstract

This study identifies the challenges faced by teachers in the learning process at school, which have an impact on the low ability of student cooperation. The research data were obtained using interview techniques, observation and document studies. The collected data were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The subjects in this study were elementary school teachers in East Kluet. The results showed that teachers had limited access to information, monotonous learning models, and lack of student involvement were the main factors in the low ability of student cooperation. In addition, the dominance of high-ability students and minimal opportunities for collaboration reduced important social interactions. The lack of integration of local wisdom and supporting facilities also contributed to this problem. These findings emphasize the need for innovation in learning models.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students in grade V SD Negeri Pasi Pinang. This study aims to describe the effort to improve students' learning motivation through the use of inquiry methods and to increase learning motivation through the use of inquiry method in science subjects. The type of this research is classroom action research, the subject of this research is the students of class V SD Negeri Pasi Pinang which amounted to 24 students. The object of this research is the improvement of students' learning motivation in science subjects. The results showed that the use of inquiry method can improve the motivation of students in grade V SD Negeri Pasi Pinang. This can be seen from the average score of students' learning motivation in cycle I is 60.2%, in cycle II increases with score 70.5%, and cycle III increases with score 92.8%. based on the results of these studies indicate that the student's learning motivation every cycle has increased after applied inquiry method.
