Abstract

understanding of stiffness is primarily done by using simple structural examples. The size of the structure in calculations is always represented by the large number of linkage and the element of the rod so that the use of the computer and the application of the accounting must correspond to the modeled structure model. One of the popular applications used in performing structural calculations is ms excel. The goal for the study is to create an alternative ms-oriented structural analysis aid and to make comparisons of calculation with other output applications already on the market. Excel - oriented stiffness calculation makes a tabbing of analysis of which the physical form of Numbers can be clearly displayed and that can be examined at a theoretical level of analysis. The transparent process of accounting increases trust in the results so that it can be used in education and as a comparison to the output of other applications. The calculating two-dimensional skeletal structure with alternative aid programs and the SAP 2000 application program, provides a very small difference so that it can be deduced that an alternative assistive program output can be used.

Abstract

The linear and nonlinear response of two buildings with one degree of freedom (DOF) respectively vibration period (T) 0.4 second and 0.5 second are becoming the models of this research. The earthquake record of Loma Prieta 1989 is selected and customized with the spectrum response curve Ss = 1.25g and S1 = 0.4g with the medium ground (SD). The spring of building structure modelled as linear and nonlinear spring of Takeda model that has been modified. The important results of this research are: first, the direct addition method is only used to determine time of collision and not adequate to determine seismic separation. Second, the ultimate method or the transform method to calculate elastic deformation multiplied Cd/Ie is only used when the building does not have large inelastic deformation. Third, the pattern transformation of building response after inelastic phase could be significantly and bear the opportunity of both building collision.

Abstract

Development of socio-economic activities occurs linearly with respect to the road network. Along the edge of the Timor Raya Timor Raya road Km 8+800 to Km 9+000 the side barriers are now getting higher, both due to vehicle parking on the road body, as well as due to vehicles entering and leaving the parcel (access) and pedestrians on the shoulder of the road and road crossings. Traffic problems that arise due to the activity of vehicles parked on the road are of course detrimental to road users such as when the vehicle is parked or when the vehicle exits the parking lot, therefore parking controls on the Timor Raya road Km 8+800 to Km 9+000 is the most important thing to do to control traffic so that congestion, pollution, noise can be minimized. Based on the analysis conducted using the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (MKJI, 1997). It is known that the peak volume occurred on Monday, 08 May 2023 at 17.30-18.30 WITA with a volume of 2162.75 PCU/hour, a capacity of 2366.63 PCU/hour, and the performance of Jalan Timor Raya, Oesapa Km 8+800 to Km 9+ 000, is at service level E with a DS value of 0.91. with a light vehicle free flow speed of 35.8 km/hour and an average speed of 22 km/hour. in conditions without light vehicle (LV) and heavy vehicle (HV) parking on the road, enter service level D where the DS value reaches 0.78, with a capacity of 2781.83 pcu/hour, free flow speed of light vehicles 38.9 km/hour and an average speed of 28 km/hour. Whereas in conditions without parking at the entrance to the service level C where the DS value reaches 0.71, with a capacity of 3019.31 pcu/hour, the free flow speed of light vehicles is 42.6 km/hour and the average speed is 32 km /hour.

Abstract

According to SNI 1726-2019, hospitals are in category IV building risk which has high factor importance for building planning against earthquakes. Therefore, an evaluation of buildings is needed which is not only affected by earthquakes but also the strength, stiffness, and ductility of the building itself. This study aims to produce the performance of the Guido Valadares National Pediatric Hospital and ICCU Building using pushover analysis. The results of the analysis show that there is a deviation failure caused by the presence of a ramp on one side of the building which results in greater stiffness on that side than on the other side of the building. A new structural system is applied on the lower side of the building with bracing reinforcement to create balance for the building. The new design results reveal better building structure performance and it is in accordance with applicable standards.
