Abstract

This study aims to determine the symbols and meanings of the symbols contained in the drama Kadera by Didit Marchel. The approach used in this study is Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique is by: (1) reading and understanding the contents of the drama text in detail, (2) identifying the symbols contained in the text, (3) summarizing the symbols and meanings of the text contained in the drama. The results of the study indicate that the drama Kadera by Didit Marchel has a text structure: characters, events, conflicts, plots, and backgrounds. The symbols found in the drama Kadera by Didit Marchel can be interpreted after being explained using a semiotic approach. The symbols found are in the form of words and sentence structures in the form of figurative language and terms, such as kaki tangan which means subordinates who become assistants to a leader and wetlands as a symbol of a strategic position in a position.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi pembelajaran bahasa Bugis dalam Kurikulum Merdeka serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan strategi yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus pada beberapa sekolah yang menerapkan pembelajaran bahasa Bugis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Bugis masih menghadapi kendala, seperti keterbatasan bahan ajar, rendahnya motivasi siswa, kurangnya pelatihan guru, serta minimnya dukungan kebijakan dari pemerintah daerah. Namun, strategi inovatif, seperti integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran dan penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, terbukti dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan efektivitas pembelajaran. Selain itu, keterlibatan komunitas dan dukungan sosial dari lingkungan sekitar juga memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar bahasa daerah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan sinergi antara sekolah, pemerintah, dan masyarakat serta penerapan kebijakan yang lebih mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Bugis agar tetap lestari dan relevan di era globalisasi.

Abstract

The focus of this study is to discuss the socio-economic typology of coastal and urban communities using a sociological literary approach. This study aims to describe the socio-economic typology of coastal and urban communities in Pramoedya Ananta Toer's novel Gadis Pantai. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Data in the form of novel excerpts obtained, recorded and selected based on the problems discussed, namely describing socio-economic typology. The results of the study found three socio-economic typologies in coastal communities, namely: (1) the socio-economic typology of the upper class, the community included in this group, namely Bendoro and his family; (2) the socio-economic typology of the middle class, the community included in this group, namely Gadis Pantai, Mardinah, and Pelayan Tua; (3) the socio-economic typology of the lower class, the community included in this group, namely the coastal community, Bapak, Emak, and Dul.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the patterns, effectiveness, and impact of digital technology use in listening skills instruction based on recent literature. The method employed is a literature review, analyzing 30 reputable journal articles published between 2019 and 2024. The findings reveal that audio-visual media (50%) and gamification-based learning applications (35%) are the most utilized technologies, resulting in an average improvement in listening skills scores by 21.5% and enhancing students' learning independence. Podcasts also significantly contribute to critical listening skills despite being employed in only 15% of learning patterns. The study concludes that digital technology effectively enhances listening skills and empowers students to learn independently. Recommendations include providing digital literacy training for teachers, integrating technology into curricula, and conducting further research on the specific effectiveness of digital platforms such as podcasts and gamification in language learning contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi politik melalui pendekatan pragmatik dengan studi kasus pada video podcast "Rijal Jamal". Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan kalimat analitis, kontradiktif, sintesis, implikatur percakapan dan implikatur konvensional, serta strategi kesantunan berbahasa dalam membangun wacana kampanye politik. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan teknik simak dan catat sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip kerja sama dan strategi kesantunan berbahasa sangat berperan dalam menyampaikan pesan secara efektif, membangun citra positif, dan meningkatkan kredibilitas politisi. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan ilmu komunikasi, khususnya dalam memahami dinamika percakapan politik yang kompleks dan menciptakan interaksi yang harmonis dalam proses demokrasi.
