Abstract

This study explores the challenges in implementing education management systems at primary and secondary levels in Indonesia, particularly concerning quality disparities between urban and rural areas. The purpose of this research is to identify challenges in the implementation of education management, including aspects of teacher distribution, technology access, and curriculum flexibility, and to offer relevant solutions. The main issues include uneven teacher distribution, limited technology access in remote areas, and a rigid curriculum that is insufficiently responsive to local needs. This study uses a literature review method by analyzing various secondary sources, such as academic journals, government reports, and related publications, to gain a comprehensive understanding. The findings reveal that major challenges in education management include limited educational infrastructure in remote areas, uneven teacher distribution, and restricted access to professional training for teachers. The suggested solutions include evidence-based policy implementation, improved access to educational technology, and curriculum adjustments tailored to local contexts. This study emphasizes the importance of an adaptive, evidence-based management approach to address educational quality disparities across different regions in Indonesia.

Social media enables students to collaborate, share materials, and engage in discussions flexibly. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes fiveteen accredited national and international journal articles as its research subjects, this research analyzes various social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Telegram, and Instagram, and their impact on student motivation, participation, and learning outcomes. The results indicate that social media enhances student collaboration, motivation, and understanding of mathematical concepts. However, challenges such as distractions, platform misuse, and low digital literacy among students persist. To address these issues, the study suggests strategies such as focused learning groups and digital literacy training for students and teachers. With proper management, social media can effectively improve the quality of mathematics learning in high schools. Keywords: Social media, collaboration, mathematics learning

Abstract

This study aims to examine the problem of traditionalism in teaching and the weak internalization of Islamic values in public schools, specifically at SMAN 10 Rejang Lebong. Using a qualitative approach involving observation, interviews, and questionnaires, the research found that Islamic Religious Education (IRE) classes remain dominated by passive lecture methods, limiting students’ active engagement. Islamic values are not yet systematically embedded within the school culture, and support from family and social environments is also minimal. The study integrates theories from Piaget, Vygotsky, Bronfenbrenner, and Mezirow’s Transformative Learning to interpret the findings. These results affirm previous research while introducing a new transformative learning model based on school culture integration. This research contributes a fresh perspective to Islamic education management in public schools and highlights limitations related to the scope and sample of the study.

This study analyzes and identifies forms of innovation in the learning process of Islamic education within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Innovation in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is a response to the challenges of the relevance of Islamic education in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, focused on analyzing relevant literature regarding learning innovations in Islamic education based on the Merdeka Curriculum. Data collection techniques were conducted through document studies of scientific papers published in the last five years. The results of the study indicate that innovations in the learning process of Islamic education, such as differentiated learning, Project-Based Learning, and the integration of digital technology, contribute to increased student engagement, understanding of Islamic values, and strengthening teacher capacity. However, challenges were also identified in the form of limited infrastructure and cultural resistance among educators. This study recommends strengthening teacher training and developing policies that support the transformation of contextual and relevant Islamic learning. Novelty in the context of an integrated exploration of various dimensions of innovation in Islamic education within the Merdeka Curriculum framework.
