Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh video influencer terhadap pelestarian Bahasa Makassar di media sosial. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian melibatkan 30 responden yang merupakan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Daerah dan aktif mengikuti influencer berbahasa Makassar. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesoner yang kemudian dianalisis secara tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video influencer secara signifikan meningkatkan minat dan kesadaran responden terhadap penggunaan Bahasa Makassar. Responden mengungkapkan bahwa Bahasa Makassar berfungsi sebagai medium komunikasi yang esensial dan simbol identitas budaya, digunakan secara aktif dalam berbagai konteks sosial. Media sosial terbukti efektif dalam memperluas jangkauan komunikasi dan mempromosikan bahasa daerah di kalangan generasi muda. Meskipun terdapat tantangan, seperti kurangnya konten yang relevan dan menarik, pengaruh positif dari influencer dapat menciptakan suasana yang mendukung pelestarian Bahasa Makassar. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara komunitas dan influencer dalam menciptakan konten yang edukatif dan menarik, sehingga Bahasa Makassar tetap relevan di era digital.

Abstract

The study aims at (1) describing the differences in language levels in Makassar dialect lexicon in Bantaeng district and (2) mapping the differences in language levels in Makassar dialect lexicon in Bantaeng district. The type of this study is descriptive qualitative research. The data source of the study was speech community in Bantaeng district. The research data were observation points, each spread in 8 sub-districts in Bantaeng district and 200 basic Swadesh vocabularies with various groupings. The data collection techniques used were face to face conversation, record, and note-taking. The result of the study reveal that there are differences in language levels in lexicon, which discovered 37 concepts and described in map 001 up to map 037 where the speech community in Bantaeng district still loyal to use Makassar language, namely Bantaeng dialect which generally appeared in observation point 2, 6, 7, and 8; whereas, the speech society in observation points 1, 3, 4, and 5 besides using Bantaeng dialect in their daily lives, they also use Lakiung, Turatea, Konjo, and Bira-Selayar dialects. It is because the observation points in the study are directly adjacent to other districts.

Abstract

AbstrakThis research uses a critical discourse analysis (AWK) approach with a focus on relational values in vocabulary choices, especially those related to power, through the perspective of Norman Fairclough's theory of social change. In this case, analysis was carried out on the vocabulary that describes power in texts produced by the Minister of Education and Culture with an emphasis on elements such as words, clauses and sentences. The data obtained includes documentation, reading and recording techniques that enable researchers to explore hidden meanings in the use of the vocabulary of power. The research results show that there are distinctive characteristics in the use of vocabulary related to power, such as the dominance of more striking formal words and the use of euphemisms that function to manipulate influence and power in speech. Text production and sociocultural analysis also highlight that every discourse produced cannot be separated from the context of power and domination inherent in a larger social situation. This illustrates how power influences the formation and understanding of texts, as well as showing how power is articulated in various vocabulary choices.Kata Kunci: Nilai relasional, kosakata, analisis wacana.

Abstract

This study describe the forms of code switching and code mixing in vlogs and the factors causing them. This is a qualitative descriptive study. Data consists of utterances in the form of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences that contain elements of code switching and codemixing. Data sources were obtained from Baco Kuttu Management vlogs. Data collection was conducted using (1) participant observation and (2) note-taking techniques. Data were analyzed using the translational method to identify the forms of code-switching and codemixing, and the pragmatic matching method to identify the factors.The results showed that there was internal code-switching, namely code-switching from Indonesian to Bugis and vice versa. This code-switching was caused by the speaker's factors in explaining something and providing explanations as well as changes in the topic of conversation. The code-mixing found was in the form of code-mixing in words, phrases, clauses, and reduplication, caused by the speaker's background, attitude, and linguistic factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi politik melalui pendekatan pragmatik dengan studi kasus pada video podcast "Rijal Jamal". Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis penggunaan kalimat analitis, kontradiktif, sintesis, implikatur percakapan dan implikatur konvensional, serta strategi kesantunan berbahasa dalam membangun wacana kampanye politik. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dengan teknik simak dan catat sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan prinsip kerja sama dan strategi kesantunan berbahasa sangat berperan dalam menyampaikan pesan secara efektif, membangun citra positif, dan meningkatkan kredibilitas politisi. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan ilmu komunikasi, khususnya dalam memahami dinamika percakapan politik yang kompleks dan menciptakan interaksi yang harmonis dalam proses demokrasi.
