Abstract

Plastik merupakan jenis sampah yang paling sulit untuk diurai dan yang paling banyak mencemari lingkungan. Di Indonesia masih banyak dijumpai pemakaian plastik PET yang tidak dibarengi dengan pengolahannya. Berdasarkan data statistik Indonesia menduduki peringkat kedua sebesar 5,4 juta ton pertahun dari total produksi sampah plastik. Sampah plastik ini berasal dari dari aktivitas pendidikan, perkantoran, perdagangan dll. Plastik jenis PET paling banyak dicari untuk didaur ulang diikuti plastik berjenis PE dan plastik berjenis PP. Tetapi, sosialisasi mengenai pemanfaatan sampah plastik PET belum cukup optimal. Tujuan dari sosialisasi ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman tentang pemanfaatan sampah plastik PET (Polyethylene Terephalate) seperti limbah botol plastik. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan kepada siswa-siswi SMA Kelas XI yang merupakan usia produktif untuk meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap lingkunan sekolah maupun luar sekolah. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan di SMA Pondok Modern Selamat Batang. Hasil dari sosialisasi ini yaitu terciptanya kesadaran dan peningkatan pengetahuan dalam memanfaatkan sampah plastik jenis PET.

Abstract

The high productivity of corn in Kendal Regency produces a large amount of waste that has not been optimally utilized. Therefore, appropriate technology needs to be applied to convert corn cobs into a growing medium for oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms were chosen because they are among the most popular edible mushrooms in society and have relatively stable market prices, making them suitable for cultivation. The purpose of this program is to improve the knowledge and skills of the Sekandang Farmers Group in producing oyster mushroom growing media using corn cob waste. The method used in this community service activity involves both theoretical and practical training, including corn cob grinding, mixing with rice bran and lime, sterilization using a steamer machine, seeding, as well as basic financial management and marketing strategies (both online and offline). The results of the program, based on interviews and pre-test and post-test evaluations, show a significant increase in participants’ scores, indicating improved knowledge and skills among the farmers. In addition, participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and active participation during the practical sessions. In conclusion, this training successfully enhanced the farmers’ ability to utilize corn cob waste as an effective growing medium for oyster mushrooms, thereby supporting the improvement of their economic welfare.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi pemasaran yang tepat yang dapat meningkatkan pangsa pasar dan panduan dalam memasarkan produk emping melinjo pada Omah Cemilan Batang. Ditinjau melalui Identifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal, matriks evaluasi faktor internal (IFE), faktor eksternal (EFE), matriks internal eksternal (IE), matriks SWOT dan Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). Hasil penelitian ini, total skor matriks IFE adalah 2,75 dan skor total matriks EFE adalah 2,927. Skor ini menentukan posisi perusahaan di kuadran V (Hold and Mantain) pada matriks IE, Strateginya adalah penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. Pada hasil penyusunan matriks SWOT diperoleh 8 strategi. Setelah dilakukan pencocokan matriks IE dan matriks SWOT, strategi alternatif yang dipilih adalah penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar dan pengembangan produk. Hasil menggunakan matriks QSP berupa urutan prioritas strategi yang dapat diterapakan oleh Omah Cemilan Batang yaitu penetrasi pasar, pengembangan produk dan pengembangan pasar.

Abstract

The honey bee, which is popular in the community, is known to have a sting that is quite discouraging. However, there are stingless bees that can also produce honey. Apart from being stingless, the stingless bee species that are starting to bloom in Indonesia are no less efficacious. The purpose of this study is to find out what problems occur in marketing and to provide an analysis of competitive strategies that should be carried out. The method used in this study is the five force method. The results of this study state that the conditions of competition faced in the honey industry are very tight. This is shown from the analysis of the five forces. Where the five forces analysis shows that there are influential threats to the honey industry, namely the threat of new entrants, the threat of consumer power and the threat of competition among industries. Apart from threats, there are opportunities that stores can take advantage of to increase sales, namely sales opportunities in modern markets, sales opportunities on social media and opportunities for collaboration with herbal medicine sellers. Strategies that can be applied to increase sales and profits are: cooperation strategies with herbal medicine sellers, marketing strategies through social media, sales strategies in modern markets. Abstract

XYZ is the first fiber optic factory in Kendal to start operating in 2021. The main production from PT. XYZ is an optical cable and underwater cable or commonly called a submarine cable. One of the vital problems experienced by PT. XYZ in starting its production operations is on quality control issues. PT. XYZ is in the stage of looking for appropriate quality standards and can be used to compete with its competitors. The control method used to explore and identify unqualified products in the fiber coloring process is the seventools method. Seventools is able to present data in detail and accurately with the seven tools in it, another advantage that seventools has is that it is easy to understand and implement. The purpose of this research is to find out how to control, the factors that cause defects and how to apply the seventools method to the quality of colored fiber at PT. XYZ. The results of the study using seventools related to line coloring and colored fiber, preventive and countermeasures that can be taken are to recheck and rewind unqualified products, create and install technical requirements in the production area to make it easier for operators to identify standardized products made and provide paint roller machines to maintain color quality, separate storage shelves for qualified and unqualified products and cultivate 5S in operators.

Abstract

Toko Gembyang merupakan salah satu UMKM penyedia jasa layanan foto copy di kabupaten Pemalang. Terdapat permasalahan human error pada penggunaan mesin, sebagai contoh akibat dari human error yang terjadi yaitu hasil ukuran kertas yang salah, hasil foto copy kurang jelas, foto copy bolak balik tidak presisi, kertas macet didalam mesin dll. Sehingga perlu dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab terjadinya human error pada jasa pelayanan foto copy di Toko Gembyang, dengan tujuan agar dapat mengurangi terjadinya kejadian human error yang dapat mempengaruhi efektifitas, keselamatan atau performa sistem. Identifikasi dan analisis human error yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Human error Identification in Systems Tool (HEIST). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diketahui bahwa tugas yang sering terjadi kesalahan yaitu pada saat melakukan foto copy KTP bolak balik. Kesalahan yang dilakukan yaitu pada proses membalik KTP dan meletakkan kertas kedalam box kertas di mesin foto copy dengan posisi yang tidak sesuai. Hal tersebut menyebabkan hasil foto copy KTP bolak balik yang keluar tidak presisi antara sisi ke 1 dan sisi ke 2 bahkan bisa sampai berlawanan letak. Saran yang diberikan untuk mengurangi kesalahan yang disebabkan human error yaitu dengan melakukan pelatihan kepada pegawai, dan memotivasi pegawai agar lebih menghafalkan letak dan posisi kertas saat melakukan foto copy. Serta memberikan tanda pada samping-samping layar foto copy agar memudahkan pengoprasian. Kata kunci : UMKM, human error, HEIST

Abstract

Biomass as an energy source is very compatible with Indonesia's natural resources. Pineapple peel waste contains a lot of cellulose, which can be used as a renewable energy source. However, the presence of lignin in pineapple skin stops the hydrolysis process. So, this research looks at how the MAE (microwave assisted extraction) delignification method optimizes pineapple peel waste cellulose. The results of research by changing the operating temperature to 70oC, 80oC, and 90oC show that lignin solubility increases with operating temperature. To compare, the control sample had lignin and cellulose solubility of 2.68% and 17.39% of the sample weight, while the sample delignified with MAE had a solubility of 9.04% and 29.42% of the sample weight at an operating temperature of 90oC, for two twenty minutes, and with a ratio of 1:20 (w/v). After delignification, analysis continues using FTIR to compare the organic components in the sample. In the graph of microwave pretreatment spectra results, wide absorption is found at 3320 and 3333 cm-1; The spectra results without pretreatment show free O-H vibrations from a group of hydroxyls in the cellulose molecule. The peaks that have changed can be seen in the graph of the microwave pretreatment spectrum results, which shows wave values ​​of 1625 and 1630 cm-1, and shows the vibration of the aromatic chains in lignin. The cellulose peaks are 1032 and 1034 cm-1. These peaks are glucose ring stretching, changes in the C-H form in hemicellulose and cellulose.

Abstract

Zero net emission has become a global issue that is being discussed intensively along with the development of technology to the point of giving birth to various policies that have been issued by many countries in the world. One way to realize this is by diversifying green energy. Bio energy is the right solution to achieve this global goal, namely the utilization of pineapple skin waste as raw material for biogas production. so it is very appropriate to conduct research to examine the effect of adding pineapple skin waste to increase biogas production with microwave treatment and process optimization. The optimum condition of the temperature variable obtained the best results at a temperature of 900C with a cellulose solubility of 29.42%, while the lignin solubility obtained was 9.05% which can be concluded that MAE pretreatment can increase the solubility of the cellulose and lignin composition. Furthermore, the optimum condition for biogas production was produced in pineapple skin samples with MAE treatment with a ratio of 1:2 (w/v) of 917mL. From the research that has been carried out, it shows that along with the increase in total solids entered into the biodigester, the amount of biogas production produced will increase.

Abstract

Heavy metal pollution such as chromium (Cr) in industrial wastewater is a serious environmental problem because of its impact on human health and aquatic ecosystems. One effective method to reduce Cr levels in waste is adsorption using activated carbon based on natural materials. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of activated carbon obtained from pyrolysis wood twig waste in absorbing Cr ions. Activated carbon was activated using sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) with concentration variations of 1, 3, and 5 M to increase adsorption capacity. Adsorption tests were carried out with contact time variations of 60, 90, and 120 minutes, and analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results showed that activated carbon with H₂SO₄ activation increased adsorption capacity against Cr ions. The higher the concentration of H₂SO₄, the lower the water content and ash content in activated carbon, which indicates an increase in surface area and porosity. The effect of initial Cr concentration on adsorption effectiveness was also observed. At an initial concentration of Cr of 10 ppm, activated carbon was able to absorb up to 58.73% of the total metal ions present. However, when the initial concentration was increased to 25 ppm, the adsorption effectiveness decreased to 41.28%. At a higher concentration, namely 50 ppm, activated carbon was only able to absorb 34.78% of Cr ions. These results indicate that activated carbon from pyrolysis wood twig waste can be an economical and environmentally friendly alternative for the treatment of waste containing heavy metals.
