Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, particularly among the elderly in Indonesia. Its prevalence continues to increase with age and physiological changes that make the elderly more vulnerable. The main risk factors for CHD include hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity, smoking, and decreased physical activity. CHD prevention is crucial through healthy lifestyle modifications, including smoking cessation, maintaining a healthy diet, regular exercise, and regular health check-ups. These efforts are not solely individual, but also require collective support through ongoing education, family involvement, and collaboration between the community, health institutions, and the government. A literature review shows that consistent education and strengthening social support can improve adherence in elderly people to preventive behaviors. Therefore, multifaceted interventions are needed to reduce the incidence of CHD and improve the quality of life of the elderly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the inner conflict of Makaji as the main character in the short story Juru Masak by Damhuri Muhammad through Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic perspective and to explain the influence of social stratification on the character’s psychological conflict. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The primary data source was the text of the short story Juru Masak, while secondary data were obtained from books, journals, and other relevant scientific references. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques, then analyzed using content analysis. The results show that Makaji’s inner conflict arises from the contradiction between the id, which drives the need for recognition and self-esteem, the ego, which adjusts to social reality, and the superego, which controls behavior based on social norms. The conflict is further strengthened by social stratification that places the profession of a cook in a subordinate position, causing psychological pressure, decreased self-esteem, and an identity crisis. Thus, the character’s inner conflict is not only caused by individual personality dynamics, but also by interactions with the surrounding social construction. Abstract

This study examines the inner conflict and personality dynamics of the main character in Atta Verin's short story "Happiness that Kills" through Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic approach. Using descriptive qualitative methods, the study results reveal tension between the main character's id, ego, and superego in balancing personal desires and moral demands as a mother. The use of defense mechanisms such as denial and repression is also found. The study concludes that the character's happiness is ironic and destructive, as revealed through an in-depth analysis of her psychological structure.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi peran penting literasi digital dan kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam penulisan karya ilmiah di kalangan mahasiswa, khususnya di era Society 5.0. Meskipun AI menawarkan alat bantu yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas penulisan, seperti DeepL, Humata, dan ChatGPT, penggunaannya juga menimbulkan risiko plagiarisme dan pelanggaran etika. Artikel ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman mendalam tentang materi penelitian dan penggunaan AI secara etis, termasuk memanfaatkan AI hanya untuk draf awal, memparafrase dan mengedit output, serta mencantumkan sumber referensi yang kredibel. Selain itu, artikel ini menyoroti pentingnya keterampilan seperti human focus skill dan sistem thinking untuk menghadapi tantangan kompleks di dunia modern. Pengembangan keterampilan ini di institusi pendidikan dianggap krusial untuk mempersiapkan lulusan menghadapi dunia kerja dan masyarakat.
