Abstract

ABSTRAKMasa pandemi yang terjadi di Indonesia mengalihkan pendidikan yang seyogianya dilakukan di dalam kelas menjadi proses yang dijalankan di dalam jaringan (daring). Hal tersebut guna mengurangi interaksi secara langsung peserta didik dengan berbagai individu di luar rumah. Pendidikan yang dilaksanakan harus tetap berdasarkan kurikulum yang telah ditetapkan oleh pemerintah sebelumnya. Tentunya dengan tetap memperhatikan nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Nilai-nilai Pancasila diterapkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran maupun aturan kelas. Abstract

This research departs from the phenomenon of the decline in the character of adolescents, especially in the millennial generation, which is already very alarming. The purpose of the research was to explore the decline in the values ​​of local wisdom of dalihan na tolu in adolescents in Padangsidimpuan City. The research method used to answer the problems in this study uses a qualitative research method with an analytical descriptive approach. Data analysis was carried out using the technique of Miles and Huberman, namely data analysis was carried out simultaneously starting from data collection, data condensation, data display and drawing conclusions which were carried out continuously during the research process.The research findings produce at least two main things that are discussed in the research, namely; (1). The character values ​​contained in the Dalihan na tolu indigenous local wisdom include; Marmora's respect contained character values; courtesy, gentleness and responsibility, elek maranak boru; found the value of hard work, independent, honest, loyal, disciplined and caring, while the manatmarkahanggi contained values; honest, hardworking, disciplined, democratic, fair and tolerant. While the second is; (2). The decline in the character values ​​of the local wisdom of dalihan na tolu in adolescents in the city of Padangsidimpuan, among others; the loss of the culture of mutual cooperation, tolerance, speech and manners. Teenagers no longer fully recognize the concept of values ​​in the dalihan na tolu adat, such as attitudes towards parents, attitudes towards friends and the conception of dalihan na tolu adat values ​​in social life. The institutional activities of naposo-nauli bulung, which were previously a forum for youth to recognize and understand the traditional culture of dalihan na tolu, are now running out. Even in some areas in the city of Padangsidimpuan, the naposo-nauli Bulung institution no longer exists. The conclusions in this study include (1). The values ​​of dalihan na tolu indigenous local wisdom contain noble character values ​​and are in accordance with the character values ​​of education proclaimed by the current government. (2). The current decline in character values, especially among teenagers in Padangsidimpuan City, has entered an alarming phase, seen in behavior, understanding and actualization of social life, which has deviated far from the noble values ​​of the adat dalihan na tolu in Padangsidimpuan City.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana poda na lima dapat diadaptasi dalam konteks politik, khususnya dalam Pilkada Serentak 2024 pada daerah tapanuli bagian selatan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara yakni Padangsidimpuan, Tapanuli Selatan, Mandailing Natal, Padang Lawas, dan Padang Lawas Utara. Suku Angkola-Mandailing, yang tersebar lima daerah tersebut memiliki kearifan lokal yang dikenal dengan poda na lima, sebuah falsafah hidup yang mencakup lima nasihat utama. Poda na lima terdiri dari: paias rohamu (bersihkan jiwamu), paias pamatangmu (bersihkan tubuhmu), paias parabitonmu (bersihkan pakaianmu), paias bagasmu (bersihkan rumahmu), dan paias pakaranganmu (bersihkan lingkunganmu). Nilai-nilai ini telah lama menjadi pedoman dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat Angkola-Mandailing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai poda na lima dari perspektif politik, penelitian ini menawarkan konsep bahwa falsafah tersebut dapat menjadi prinsip dasar pembangunan politik yang menekankan etika, integritas, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

Artikel ini menjelaskan konsep Merdeka Belajar dengan melihat bahwa terdapat kebutuhan mendesak untuk melakukan rekonstruksi pembelajaran IPS melalui konsep Merdeka Belajar yang tidak hanya mengandalkan pendekatan teoretis, tetapi juga mengedepankan solusi praktis yang aplikatif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Merdeka Belajar dalam pembelajaran IPS menekankan pada fleksibilitas, kebebasan, dan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses belajar. Pendekatan ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan siswa dengan memberi ruang eksplorasi, berpikir kritis, dan mengaitkan pembelajaran dengan konteks nyata. Konsep ini mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih personal dan relevan, dimana siswa dapat mengeksplorasi materi sesuai dengan minat dan kebutuhan mereka. Integrasi dengan teori pembelajaran seperti konstruktivisme, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, dan teori pembelajaran sosial memperkaya pembelajaran IPS dengan pendekatan yang lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan kontekstual yang tentunya berpusat pada siswa. Dengan menerapkan pendekatan ini, pembelajaran IPS mampu mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, analisis sosial, dan partisipasi aktif siswa, yang sangat penting dalam membekali mereka menghadapi tantangan sosial di dunia nyata dengan menjadikan pembelajaran IPS lebih dinamis. Keterbatasan sumber daya, kesiapan guru, dan kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik, menjadi sebuah tantangan, namun dibutuhkan pelatihan, dukungan, dan pemahaman mendalam. Secara teoretis, Merdeka Belajar mendorong pendekatan holistik dan adaptif, berbasis teori seperti konstruktivisme dan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Hal ini mendukung pengembangan keterampilan berpikir kritis, analisis sosial, dan partisipasi aktif siswa, yang esensial dalam pembelajaran IPS.

Abstract

Conflict is an inherent phenomenon in social life and a major challenge in multicultural societies. Differences in values, social status, power, and the unequal distribution of resources often serve as the primary triggers of conflict. This study aims to analyze conflict from the perspective of multicultural education and explore the role of education in mitigating social tensions. Through a theoretical literature-based analysis, this study finds that multicultural education plays a strategic role in fostering social awareness and competencies to create harmony in diverse societies. The key findings of this study indicate that conflict in multicultural societies can be explained through various theoretical perspectives. Marx views conflict as a consequence of class inequalities and the unjust distribution of resources, while Gurr emphasizes that dissatisfaction with structural injustice is a primary factor driving conflict. Meanwhile, Collier’s greed and grievance theory suggests that conflict arises either from political and economic exploitation by dominant groups or as a reaction to injustices experienced by marginalized groups. In this context, multicultural education based on social justice can serve as a solution to address conflicts by ensuring equal access to education and socio-economic opportunities for all social groups. The implications of this study highlight that multicultural education should not remain a mere normative discourse but should be developed into a systematic and sustainable approach to fostering an inclusive and harmonious society. Multicultural education models such as content-oriented programs, student-oriented programs, and socially-oriented programs are recommended as practical strategies to enhance cross-cultural understanding and strengthen social solidarity. Therefore, multicultural education can play a crucial role in reducing social conflicts and promoting stronger social cohesion in diverse societies.

Abstract

Freedom of learning is an educational policy that was initiated in 2019. Free education is inseparable from the bonds of character values. Even though the policy of independent learning was able to produce several new regulations in the world of education, the implementation of character values as a form of virtuous human resources cannot be eliminated. The implementation of these character values can be applied in the process of teaching and learning activities in schools. The character values that are applied in independent learning include: (1) having faith, being devoted to God Almighty, and having a noble character, (2) global diversity,(3) mutual cooperation, (4) independent, (5) critical reasoning, (6) creative. All of these values can be applied in teaching and learning activities in schools.
