Abstract

Seaweed is one of the fishery commodities which can be used as a mainstay source of the national fisheries economy. Seaweed has long been known in Indonesia as a food, beverage, vegetable and traditional medicine ingredient. The target area for this community service program (PKM) is North Pontianak District, Pontianak City, which is also one of the tourism destinations for the equatorial monument in Indonesia. The partner group selected in this community service program (PKM) is the people of Batulayang Village, North Pontianak District, who are members of the village PKK group of 20 people divided into 5 small groups. The main objective of this PKM activity is to transfer seaweed utilization science and technology through training and assistance in processing food and beverages made from seaweed. In general, the results of this PKM activity run smoothly and thoroughly. After participating in this PKM activity, the training participants gained new skills about seaweed processing, how to make small-scale business feasibility, and how to market the seaweed products that have been produced. There are ten types of processed seaweed products, namely: seaweed brownies, seaweed pudding, seaweed drinks, seaweed bingke cake, seaweed ointment, seaweed sticks, seaweed crackers, seaweed lunkhead, seaweed jely, and sweets. seaweed. Increasing community skills in the use of seaweed is one of the efforts to support the community's economy and stretch tourism in the North Pontianak District. Abstract

Bakso ikan adalah produk olahan hasil perikanan dengan bahan baku ikan utuh dan lumatan daging ikan (minced) atau surimi, ditambah bahan pengisi berpati atau tepung tapioka dan bumbu-bumbu, yang dibentuk bulat-bulat dan direbus dalam air panas. Wilayah sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah Kecamatan Jongkong, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Kegiatan ini dilakulan pada Bulan Oktober Tahun 2020. Jumlah masyarakat yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sebanyak kurang lebih 40 orang yang mewakili desa-desa di Kecamatan Jongkong kemudian dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dimana setiap kelompok terdiri dari 8 orang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan pendekatan partisipatif, sehingga mitra dapat berperan aktif dalam setiap kegiatan dan pemecahan masalah. Secara umum hasil kegiatan ini berjalan dengan lancar dan tuntas. Hal ini disebabkan antara lain karena; kegiatan bimbingan teknis pengolahan ikan merupakan aspirasi dari masyarakat Jongkong sendiri sebagai peserta pelatihan sehingga seluruh peserta yang mengikuti kegiatan ini sangat antusias, bersemangat, dan bergembira; pemilihan metode pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut sangat memengaruhi keberhasilan program; dan peserta pelatihan memperoleh harapan baru untuk memulai usaha sampingan pengolahan bakso ikan sebagai mata pencaharian alternatif.

Abstract

Sungai Rengas Village, Kubu Raya Regency is on the banks of the Kapuas River, which is the longest and widest river in West Kalimantan Province. Apart from that, in the village there is a Coastal Fishing Port which is very active in fish loading and unloading activities. Sungai Rengas Village has great potential to develop the fisheries sector, especially the diversified fishery product processing sub-sector. However, the skills of the people of Sungai Rengas village in processing diversified fishery products are still minimal. Therefore, to utilize the existing fisheries potential, it is necessary to carry out community service activities regarding processing skills for diversified fishery products for the community in the village. Diversification of fishery product processing is a technique for processing fishery products by applying appropriate technology between fish meat and other additives to obtain added value to fishery products or accommodate excess harvest. The target audience for this community service activity is housewives and young women who live in Sungai Rengas Village with the consideration that the role of housewives and young women is very necessary in helping to improve nutrition and family income. The aim of this community service activity is to increase knowledge and skills in processing diversified fishery products for the people of Sungai Rengas Village. The implementation method is training in processing diversified fishery products using good manufacturing practice standards. This activity ran smoothly and was completed and was attended by 15 training participants. The Sungai Rengas Village Government, Kubu Raya Regency, strongly supports this activity and hopes it can be sustainable.
