Abstract

Pengolahan bahan lokal menjadi salah satu usaha dapat dipakai dalam meningkatkan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat didalam era Covid-19. Penggunaan bahan lokal seperti ubi jalar ungu dapat menjadi solusi dalam mengurangi ketergantungan dengan bahan impor. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan minat dan semangat berwirausaha di kondisi pandemi Covid-19 serta meningkatkan ketrampilan masyarakat. Disamping itu, kegiatan ini mempunyai tujuan memperkenalkan dan memberikan pengetahuan tambahan kepada masyarakat di Wamena khususnya di Kampung Kama tentang pengolahan ubi jalar ungu menjadi produk olahan cake sehingga dapat meningkatkan nilai ekonomis ubi jalar ungu. Keberhasilan dari kegiatan ini terlihat dari aktivitas dan antusias masyarakat dalam kegiatan penyuluhan ini disamping juga dari beberapa pertanyaan yang dilontarkan oleh peserta kegiatan

Abstract

Kebersihan adalah upaya manusia untuk memelihara diri dan lingkungannya dari segala yang kotor dan keji dalam rangka mewujudkan kehidupan yang sehat dan nyaman. Kebersihan merupakan syarat bagi terwujudnya kesehatan, dan sehat adalah salah satu faktor yang dapat memberikan kebahagiaan. Sebaliknya, kotor tidak hanya merusak keindahan tetapi juga dapat menyebabkan timbulnya berbagai penyakit, dan sakit merupakan salah satu faktor yang mengakibatkan penderitaan. Lingkungan yang ada di Kantor Desa Kama Distrik Wesaput Kabupaten Jayawijaya tampak tidak terawat diakibatkan karena sudah terlalu lama tidak ditempati yang mengakibatkan halaman kantor dalam keadaan ditumbuhi rumput yang tinggi dan pagar rusak. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2022 di Kantor Desa Kama Distrik Wesaput Kabupaten Jayawijaya Provinsi Papua. Adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah Pembersihan Halaman , Pembuatan Taman dan Pembuatan Pagar Adat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan demonstrasi dan pengerjaan di lapangan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa Kantor Desa Kama sudah mulai tertata, rapi dan bersih sehingga enak untuk dipandang dan ditempati sebagai salah satu kantor.

Abstract

Lahan pertanian semakin hari semakin sempit karena banyak digunakan untuk pembangunan perumahan dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu cara untuk mengatasi lahan pertanian yang semakin berkurang adalah dengan teknik budidaya vertikultur. Disamping itu, kegiatan ini mempunyai tujuan memperkenalkan dan memberikan pengetahuan tambahan kepada masyarakat di Wamena khususnya di Kampung Honai Lamai II tentang peningkatan produktivitas tanaman melalui teknik budidaya secara vertikultur. Abstract

Background: The conversion of livestock manure into organic fertilizer is quite safe and not difficult to do. Compost is believed to improve soil texture by making the soil more friable. In order to increase food security and raise awareness of the value of health and the beauty of the environment for farmer groups that raise pigs, this activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in Husoak Village. Contribution: Provide knowledge and enhance abilities for turning pig manure into compost that is good for cultivated plants, in increasing food security and farmers' knowledge about the importance of health and sustainability. Method: Conversation, Observation, and Socialization, providing assistance, engaging in manufacturing, and documenting Results: As evidenced by the number of farmers applying it—5 in total with 1 farmer serving as a pioneer in adopting the use of pig waste compost, which reduces odor pollution—the use of pig manure as compost is succeeding. Conclusion: that the compost processing training was completed within a month as planned, with the use of pig waste compost being observed in 5 farmers who had implemented the processing of pig manure into compost and had consumed the harvested products themselves. The next suggestion is to expand the use of composted pig manure as an agricultural input to ensure the sustainability of community agriculture

Abstract

Kampung Mawokauw Jaya adalah salah satu kampong di Distrik Wania di Kabupeten Mimika Propinsi Papua Tengah dan menjadi wilayah yang menjaga keahanan pangan. Masyarakat disini banyak yang menanam sayuran seperti kol,terong, sawi dan jagung. Selain itu, wilayah ini juga menjadi wilayah transmigran dimana masyarakat masih banyak yang menggunakan pestisida kimia dalam pertaniannya. Dalam menghindari timbulnya degradasi lahan, maka perlu dilakukan sutu usaha untuk mengatasinya. Salah satu cara adalah dengan penggunaan atau pemberian MOL organik. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah pengetahuan serta ketrampilan dalam pembuatan MOL organik dapat bertambah sehingga degradasi lahan akan berkurang. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Kampung Kampung Kb Mawokauw Jaya Distrik Wania Kabupaten Mimika Propinsi Papua Tengah. Anggota kelompok tani terdiri sekitar 25 orang. Metode dilaksanakan dalam 3 tahap : persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pembuatan MOL organik diawali dengan mengumpulkan limbah ataupun sisa-sisa tanaman. Setelah itu, limbah tersebut diiris tipis dan dimasukkan kedalam ember. Setelah itu, diberi dengan gula merah atau gula pasir kemudian semua bahan dituang dalam ember, dibaurkan  kemudian ditutup. Setelah ditutup kemudian disimpan selama dalam waktu 14 hari. Setiap 2 hari sekali dibuka tutup ember. Apabila sudah 2 minggu, kemudian tutup dibuka dan disaring dan MOL siap digunakan. Kesimpulannya bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok tani setelah dilakukan pendampingan pembuatan MOL Organik.

Abstract

Controlling plant pests and diseases (PPD), such as the thorny amaranth weed (Amaranthus spinosus L.), is crucial to ensuring optimal plant growth and development. One option for weed control is to use organic pesticides manufactured from liquid smoke extracted from red fruit (Pandanus conoideus) seed waste. The goal of this research was to identify phenolic metabolite compounds present in liquid smoke from red fruit seed waste, analyze their effects on the germination of thorny amaranth seeds, and determine the most effective dose for minimizing weed germination. Phenolic chemicals were evaluated using GC-MS (gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer), and seed viability and vigor were assessed with liquid smoke doses of 0 mL/seed (B0), 0.1 mL/seed (B1), 0.2 mL/seed (B2), 0.3 mL/seed (B3), and 0.4 mL/seed (B4), with three replications each. The criteria assessed were phenolic chemical types, germination rate, growth potential, germination rate index, vigor index, uniformity of growth, and growth rate. The study discovered eight different types of phenolic compounds in the liquid smoke from red fruit seed waste. Liquid smoke had a significant effect on the germination and growth rates of thorny amaranth seeds, with the 0.4 mL/seed dose being the most effective at inhibiting germination, which was reduced to 0.71%. Abstract

Kunyit adalah salah satu tanaman rimpang yang mempunyai manfaat diantaranya, sebagai obat herbal, bumbu masakan dan pewarna alami. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan produksi kunyit adalah dengan pemupukan secara organik yaitu dengan penggunaan abu tulang babi. Tujuan pelaksanaan penelitian: 1) untuk mengetahui efektivitas dosis pupuk abu tulang babi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kunyit (Cucurma domestica Var) dan 2) untuk mengetahui dosis abu tulang babi manakah yang paling baik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kunyit (Cucurma domestica Var). Rancangan Penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri B0= Kontrol; B1= 2 g/polibag, B2= 4 g/polibag dan B3= 8 g/polibag yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Kesimpulan : 1) Dosis pupuk abu tulang babi berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah anakan, jumlah rimpang, bobot segar per rumpun dan bobot kering per rumpun tanaman kunyit; 2) Dosis pupuk abu tulang babi yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman kunyit adalah dosis 8 g/polibag (B3).

Abstract

Jayawijaya Regency is one of the regencies in the province of Papua which has the potential to develop ornamental plants, one of which is "Plastic Flowers". Many local and foreign tourists buy this flower as a souvenir. The aims of this study are: 1) To obtain information and the potential for the development of the "Plastic Flower" agribusiness in Jayawijaya Regency; 2) To find out the income of the "Plastic Flower" farming business in Jayawijaya Regency. The research was conducted in Kurulu District. The time of the research is from June to August 2022. The determination of the research location is purposive. The data collected in this study are in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and survey methods by conducting interviews, distributing questionnaires, and collecting secondary data (documents) from farmers, business actors, and other stakeholders at the "Bunga Plastik" agribusiness center in Kurulu District. Jayawijaya Regency. Based on the study results, it can be concluded: 1) Information and potential for developing "Plastic Flowers" during the planting season from June to August 2022 is 417 bunches. With a price of Rp. 25,000, revenue of Rp. 10,425,000 is obtained with a production cost of Rp. 3,207,600. Then an income of Rp. 7,217,400 is obtained. "Plastic Flower" has the potential to be developed; 2) R/C ratio analysis which states that the contribution of the total costs incurred to total revenue is 7,91. It means that "Plastic Flower" farming in Kurulu District, Jayawijaya Regency is profitable for farmers.

Abstract

One of the important technologies to increase agricultural production is irrigation technology which can support plant cultivation systems and act as a water reservoir with a water pump machine support. The principle of several wells is to collect water for irrigation in a cylindrical reservoir that is connected to other reservoirs through a capillary tube. The purpose of this activity is to accelerate the food security system through the dissemination of well-conducted irrigation technology which functions in storing and distributing water, especially in the dry season. The method used in the implementation of this activity is socialization and training as well as assistance in making it well-conducted. The results of collaborative activities to build the nation through community service have a positive impact because they can provide sustainable solutions in improving the food security sector of farmers in Husoak Village, Hubikiak District through the development of knowledge related to irrigation systems and water needs for plants by paying attention to the needs of water and nutrients for plants.

Abstract

Pakcoy is one of the most popular vegetables for taste and content nutrition; with system-classified cultivation it is easy and efficient. For it is needed to trial activities related comparison between system cultivation in a manner organic, non-organic with system cultivation without fertilizer (is natural) through the utilization compound NPK fertilizers and fertilizers dirt cattle obtained pork from a farm owned by the farmer. The research going on together with Kosabangsa Project (Collaboration Together to Build Nation) phase Pilot Project Petra Baliem STIPER Wamena with the University of Tanjungpura Pontianak, in Jayawijaya. Test This is arranged in the form Draft Random Complete (RAL) with repetition divided three times in treatment A (without fertilizer/traditional), treatment B (compound NPK), and treatment C (Fertilizer dirt pig). The results show exists different influences one the same other to growth sprouts plant pakcoy tested try, i.e., treatment C had an effect real so real in increase growth sprouts plant pakcoy; meanwhile, treatment B showed influence real to plant fresh weight. Furthermore, treatment A also has an effect seen only in the speed parameter growth, which is expected to be caused Because the elongation process occurs in plants, which is a physiological process plants obtain source energy from the sunlight.
