Abstract

Bandar Batauga Village is one of the areas in Batauga District, South Buton Regency, based on data on the number of local residents who earn their living as fish farmers. The pond area in Bandar Balauga Village which is used for pond cultivation is approximately 4 hectares more than the potential pond area of 18 hectares in Batauga District. Based on a survey, it was found that there were 40 traditional fish farmers using a polyculture system who cultivated milkfish. The aim of the research is to determine the income of the milkfish business in Bandar Batauga Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency. And to find out if the milkfish business in Bandar Batauga Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency is worth pursuing. The research was carried out in Bandar Batauga Village, Batauga District, South Buton Regency. The results of the research show that the population of Bandar Batuga sub-district in 2020 is 1200 people consisting of 661 men, 539 women with 310 heads of families. The majority of the population is of productive age (12-60 years), namely around 920 people. The population aged 0-23 years is 520 people or 43.33% of the population aged up to 24-47 years is 300 people or the population aged 48-70 years is 380 people. Milkfish production with total fixed costs m per season is IDR 250,000. variable costs 36,000 000. Total production costs 36,250,000. The income of milkfish farmers is IDR. 33,750,000 in 1 production season. The conclusion of this activity is an analysis of the milkfish farming business based on the R/C Ratio, so a calculation of 1.9 is obtained. This value shows every cost incurred by RP. I or provide revenue of 1.9, thus the milkfish business is worth pursuing and developing.

Abstract

Dalam mendukung terlaksananya tridarma perguruan tinggi, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi melalui Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Tinggi, Riset, dan Teknologi setiap tahunnya membuka kesempatan bagi para dosen untuk mengusulkan proposal penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Beberapa tahun terakhir, pengusulan proposal ini telah menetapkan skor SINTA (Score Overall) sebagai salah satu persyaratan wajib bagi ketua pengusul dan terjadi peningkatan persyaratan skor SINTA minimal di setiap tahunnya. Fenomena peningkatan persyaratan skor SINTA ini mengakibatkan banyaknya dosen menjadi tidak eligible untuk mengajukan usulan, termasuk dosen di Program Studi Pengelolaan Sumber Daya Perairan (PSDP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton (UM Buton). Melihat permasalahan tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian berupa workshop untuk mengelola akun SINTA sebagai strategi dalam meningkatkan reputasi penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat, khususnya bagi dosen Program Studi PSDP UM Buton. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 8 Mei 2024 yang bertempat di Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Muhammadiyah Buton, Baubau, Sulawesi Tenggara. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari beberapa tahapan pelaksanaan, yaitu penyampaian materi oleh narasumber, pendampingan dan diskusi, serta evaluasi dan penutupan. Kegiatan ini telah berhasil dilaksanakan dan mencapai target luaran yang diharapkan. Pelaksanan kegiatan ini telah memberikan hasil yang signifikan pada peningkatan skor SINTA dosen Program Studi PSDP UM Buton. Setelah mengikuti workshop ini juga beberapa dosen telah memenuhi persyaratan untuk mengusul proposal pengabdian kepada masyarakat (skema PKM) dengan skor sinta overall di atas 50, dengan demikian diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis, menganalisis keanekaragaman, kelimpahan, serta hubungan antara keanekaragaman bentos dengan kondisi ekosistem lamun di Desa Lamanggau, Kecamatan Tomia, Kabupaten Wakatobi. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei lapangan dengan transek kuadrat pada tiga stasiun pengamatan. Hasil identifikasi berhasil menemukan sembilan spesies makrozoobentos yang tergolong dalam empat filum: Annelida (Nereis vexillosa, Sipunculus nudus), Echinodermata (Echinometra mathaei, Holothuria atra), Mollusca (Littorina scabra, Cerithium citrinum, Nassarius pullus, Crassostrea gigas, Siphonaria atra), dan Arthropoda (Pagurus bernhardus). Spesies dengan kelimpahan tertinggi adalah L. scabra. Analisis indeks ekologi menunjukkan keanekaragaman sedang (Shannon-Wiener H' = 2,08–2,17), keseragaman tinggi (Pielou J' = 0,90–0,94), dan dominansi rendah (Simpson D = 0,13–0,15). Hasil ini mengindikasikan struktur komunitas bentos yang stabil, seimbang, dan tidak didominasi oleh spesies tertentu, yang merefleksikan kondisi ekosistem lamun yang masih baik. Kualitas habitat yang optimal, heterogenitas substrat, dan kondisi perairan yang mendukung menjadi faktor penting dalam mempertahankan keanekaragaman bentos. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ekosistem lamun Desa Lamanggau memiliki nilai ekologis tinggi dan perlu dijaga kelestariannya.

Abstract

This study presents the design and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automated fish feeding system for milkfish cultivation using the pen culture method. The research employed a prototype methodology, integrating microcontroller-based hardware with sensors, servo motors, and RTC modules to enable precise, scheduled, and remotely monitored feeding. Initial stages included problem identification, literature review, and system requirement analysis, followed by system design connecting multiple microcontroller devices for automatic data processing and feed distribution. The developed prototype was tested both indoors and outdoors, with monitoring via laptops and mobile devices through the Blynk application. Results demonstrate that the system efficiently automates feed distribution, reduces feed waste, minimizes manual labor, and facilitates real-time monitoring, thus enhancing operational efficiency and productivity in milkfish farming. The implementation of this IoT-based solution offers a cost-effective, sustainable, and practical approach to optimize aquaculture management, improve fish growth, and support data-driven decision-making for farmers. This study contributes to advancing smart aquaculture technologies in Indonesia.
