Abstract

The study aims to determine and analyze the communication uncertainty experienced by new students (sighar) at the Darussalam Gontor Modern Islamic Boarding School. The theory used in this study is the uncertainty reduction theory pioneered by Charles Berger and Richard Calabrese, using a qualitative case study design method. The theory used in this study is the uncertainty reduction theory pioneered by Charles Berger and Richard Calabrese. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study design. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with 7 informants using purposive sampling. This study produced information that new shigar students in the Al-Azhar building experienced communication uncertainty, which they experienced was cognitive uncertainty such as imagining violence in the boarding school, imagining difficult boarding school lessons, differences between teachers in the boarding school and teachers outside. In addition, the students experienced behavioral uncertainty, thinking that all friends in the boarding school would be kind and caring, thinking that in the boarding school they were free to use Indonesian, and having difficulty adapting to the discipline of the boarding school. To reduce communication uncertainty, sighar students used strategies, namely passive, active, and interactive strategies. Passive strategies are carried out by observing friendly friends, observing friends who are not emotional, observing homeroom teachers and teachers in the class. Active strategies are used by searching for information on Islamic boarding schools in BIMAGO, asking for information on Islamic boarding schools to ustadz in PRIMAGO, asking for solutions to each problem to administrators and teachers. Interactive strategies are used by consulting with ustadz consulate telling stories with friends in the consulate.

Abstract

Abstrak:  Penelitian ini menyelidiki kepuasan audiens di Instagram menggunakan Yield Shift Theory (YST), dengan mengeksplorasi bagaimana komentar audiens di akun @pondok.modern.gontor mencerminkan kepuasan. YST adalah teori kausal yang menjelaskan kepuasan dengan sepuluh efek terukur, termasuk Efek Pencapaian Tujuan, Efek Konfirmasi, Efek Diskonfirmasi, dan Efek Nostalgia, yang teridentifikasi dalam komentar terkait konten Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan mengadopsi tinjauan skoping untuk menganalisis komentar Instagram dari postingan dan reels selama satu semester. Data dianalisis melalui Multimodal Discourse Analysis (MDA), yang berfokus pada genre respons, jenis akun yang merespons, dan interpretasi makna komentar. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan audiens tercermin dalam berbagai bentuk, seperti doa dan perhatian, yang dapat mencerminkan emosi individu dan kolektif. Penelitian ini menyoroti dinamika keterlibatan audiens, memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana konten media sosial memengaruhi kepuasan pengguna dan bagaimana efek-efek ini dapat dikategorikan menggunakan YST   Abstract:  This research investigates audience satisfaction on Instagram using the Yield Shift Theory (YST), exploring how audience comments on the @pondok.modern.gontor account reflect satisfaction. YST is a causal theory that explains satisfaction with ten measurable effects, including Goal Attainment, Confirmation, Disconfirmation, and Nostalgia effects, which were identified in comments related to Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor’s content. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing a scoping review to analyze Instagram comments from posts and reels over a semester. Data is analyzed through Multimodal Discourse Analysis (MDA), focusing on response genre, the nature of responding accounts, and the interpretation of comment meaning. The findings show that audience satisfaction is demonstrated in various forms, such as prayers and concerns, and can reflect both individual and collective emotions. The research highlights the dynamics of audience engagement, offering insights into how social media content influences user satisfaction and how these effects can be categorized using YST

Abstract

Publikasi media digital Pesantren Putri Al- Mawaddah Kabupaten Ponorogo belum berjalan secara maksimal disebabkan oleh minimnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan Humas pesantren dalam menulis release media dan fotografi sehingga berdampak terhadap kuantitas dan kualitas produksi konten digital pesantren. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan dalam upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan Humas Pesantren Putri Al- Mawaddah dalam bidang penulisan release media dan fotografi agar publikasi konten digital pesantren semakin baik dan meningkat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dikemas dalam bentuk pelatihan berupa sosialisasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan praktek lapangan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan Humas Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dari aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan Humas dalam menulis release media dan fotografi dibuktikan dengan hasil karya release dan karya foto peserta sebagai luaran dari kegiatan pelatihan. Kualitas publikasi konten digital Pesantren Putri Al- Mawaddah menjadi semakin bagus dan menarik, juga dari segi kuantitas menjadi semakin meningkat dan konsisten dalam pengunggahan informasi terbaru dengan publikasi konten yang dilakukan pembaharuan secara berkala

Abstract

For students who choose to study away from home, it's not an easy decision, although there are risks such as not being able to adapt to a new culture, but the experience gained will definitely also be more, one of which can find out the culture of the place and friends from different regions. University of Darussalam Gontor is a university under the auspices of Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. In UNIDA there is a designation of KMI students for graduates from Gontor and there is a designation of Non-KMI (NK) students for students who graduated from other than KMI. Given that NK students who graduated from SMA/SMK/MA have never experienced life in an Islamic boarding school, there must be a lot of new things found, students' difficulties in adapting often cause depression and make them break many rules. This study aims to determine the strategies of NK students who graduated from SMA/SMK/MA in adapting to the culture in their new environment while studying at the pesantren higher education level at UNIDA Gontor. The method used in this research is phenomenology with interview and observation data collection techniques. In this study, cultural adaptation theory and accommodation theory were used. The results of this study are that most NK students who have passed several phases in cultural adaptation are still compromising and adapting to the environment and culture at UNIDA.

Abstract

Aplikasi Tik-Tok merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang sangat didambakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia khususnya anak-anak, dikarenakan banyak konten yang ditampilkan di nilai menarik. Namun disisi lain, pada aplikasi tersebut terdapat beberapa konten negatif yang berdampak kurang baik bagi anak-anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi terhadap permasalahan dari dampak buruk dari konten Tik-Tok melalui pendidikan spritual khususnya melalui shirah nabawiyah yang mengedepankan peran keluarga khususnya orang tua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa salah satu cara untuk menjauhkan anak dari dampak negatif dari konten Tik-Tok adalah dengan membiasakan anak untuk mendengarkan kisah-kisah para nabi ataupun para sahabat yang diceritakan oleh keluarga khususnya orang tua ketika hendak tidur. Adapun saran terhadap hasil penelitian ini adalah pentingnya peran pemerintah atau pihak terkait untuk membatasi konten-konten negatif yang masuk kedalam aplikasi Tik-Tok. Salah satu urgensi penelitian ini adalah sebagai tawaran solusi bagi orang tua didalam mendidik anak berlandaskan ajaran islam.

Abstract

Indonesia experienced a significant increase of 769.39% in foreign exchange revenue from the tourism sector compared to the previous year, which amounted to only US$ 0.49 billion. The demand for visits by foreign tourists to Indonesia during that year rose by 926%, reaching a total of 743 thousand visits. Ponorogo Regency is one of the Indonesian regencies that saw an increase in the number of tourists in 2022, with a total of 589,268 visitors during that year. This research aims to analyze the public relations marketing of Ponorogo Regency in enhancing tourist visits post the Covid-19 pandemic. This study employs a qualitative approach, specifically a case study. Research data were obtained through in-depth interviews with three informants from the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports in Ponorogo, non-participatory observation, and documentation. The findings of the research indicate that to increase tourist visits post-Covid-19, the Ponorogo Regency government, through the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports office, utilizes a public relations marketing strategy consisting of three approaches: pull, push, and pass. The pull strategy involves advertising, sales promotion, and social media publicity. The push strategy employs personal selling and direct marketing. Meanwhile, the pass strategy includes organizing events, providing sponsorships, and building good relationships with stakeholders. Abstrak Tahun 2022 pendapatan devisa dari sektor pariwisata Indonesia mengalami kenaikan hingga 769,39% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya yang hanya mencapai US$ 0,49 miliar. Permintaan kunjungan wisatawan asing ke Indonesia pada tahun itu meningkat sebesar 926% dengan jumlah kunjungan mencapai 743 ribu. Kabupaten Ponorogo menjadi salah satu kabupten di Indonesia yang mengalami peningkatan jumlah wisatawan pada tahun 2022. Jumlah wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Ponorogo pada tahun itu mencapai 589.268 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis marketing public relations Kabupaten Ponorogo dalam meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan pasca pandemi covid 19. Untuk menggali data secara mendalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenisnya studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tiga informan dari Dinas Kebudayaan Pariwisata, Pemuda dan Olahraga Kabupaten Ponorogo, observasi non partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kunjugan wisatawan pasca Covid 19 pemerintah Kabupaten Ponorogo melalui DISBUDPARPORA menggunakan marketing public relations yang terdiri dari tiga strategi yaitu pull, push, dan pass. Strategi pull dengan menggunakan periklanan, sales promotion dan publikasi di media sosial. Untuk strategi push dengan menggunakan personal selling dan direct marketing. Sedangkan strategi pass dengan menyelenggarakan event, memberikan sponsorship, dan membangun hubungan baik dengan para stakeholder.

Abstract

General Elections are important moments in the democratic life of a country, where the people have the opportunity to choose their leaders and representatives. The General Election Commission as a General Election institution stipulates General Election Commission Regulations Number 14 of 2018 and Number 20 of 2018 which regulate the prohibition of former corruption convicts from becoming legislative candidates. Because many parties oppose and support this, the 2019 election law stipulates that ex-corruptors can nominate themselves as members of the legislature on condition that they must be fair and honest, admitting to the public that the person concerned is an ex-corruptor. This research method uses descriptive qualitative, using the spiral of silence theory, namely a media theory that pays more attention to majority views and suppresses minority views. The results of the research are: The results of this research, people tend to assess the pros and cons before people write opinions via their Twitter accounts with the hashtag #tolakpolitikbusuk as an expression of how they want leaders who are 'clean', clean in the sense here are those who have never been involved in cases that harm many people. Indonesia is a democratic country, but voicing the voice of the people is quite difficult. The reality is that it confronts the expectations that occur in society.
