Abstract

The Pandawa Football Academy (PFA) in Sukoharjo is one of the top football schools (SSB) in the Sukoharjo and Solo Raya regions. The academy has achieved various accomplishments at the district, provincial, and national levels. However, based on observations and interviews, it was found that during the training and learning process, comprehensive nutrition knowledge had not been provided to the student athletes. Knowledge about nutritious food ingredients, meal selection, and meal planning during training and competition periods was only obtained from classroom material, which was not in-depth. There has not been any specific training for student athletes on the benefits of sports nutrition knowledge that can support performance during competitions. Therefore, this community service activity aims to increase the sports nutrition knowledge of student athletes using a service-learning method, which includes an educational stage for the student athletes. The results of this training showed an increase in the sports nutrition knowledge of the student athletes at PFA Sukoharjo (p-value 0.0000.01). There was an increase in the level of sports nutrition knowledge from an average category of moderate to high, using the NUKYA questionnaire in the Indonesian language version. The participants in this training were categorized as adolescent athletes. The nutrition knowledge gained can serve as a foundation for these student athletes as they become professional players.

Abstract

Physical activity includes all movements, ranging from daily activities, moving from one place to another, work-related activities, and physical activities of low, moderate, and high intensity. Women in Indonesia tend to have a sedentary lifestyle or engage in physical activities at a low-intensity level. This study aims to describe the physical activity of midwifery students at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta. This research employs a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consists of 52 midwifery students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, and data analysis utilized univariate analysis. The results indicate that most midwifery students at Universitas ‘Aisyiyah Yogyakarta engage in moderate physical activity, with 26 respondents (50%), while the least engage in high-intensity physical activity, with only 6 respondents (11.5%). It is recommended that students increase their physical activity, particularly through exercise.

Abstract

The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model plays a crucial role in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for 21st-century education. This study aims to analyze the content of field research focusing on the application of the PBL model in physical education (PE) in Indonesia. Although numerous articles have been published on PBL, few have conducted content analyses on this topic. Therefore, this study explores the implementation of PBL in Indonesian physical education using a content analysis approach. The research employed a content analysis design, with the primary data source consisting of articles from SINTA-indexed PE journals. A total of 13 articles published between 2006 and 2023 met the criteria for analysis. The findings highlight significant opportunities for further PBL research in Indonesian PE, particularly using qualitative methods. Notably, there is a lack of studies involving grade 9 or 12 students. Most existing research focuses on learning outcomes, uses a variety of intervention types, and frequently relies on questionnaires and test sheets. Additionally, some quasi-experimental studies were found to use inappropriate data analysis techniques. This review provides critical baseline evidence to guide future research and pedagogical innovation in PE by identifying current gaps and methodological limitations in how PBL is applied and studied in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Basketball is a sport that requires accuracy in throwing the ball but also requires maximum foot movement, in basketball fast and agile foot movements are required, such as being able to stand and change direction quickly without losing balance, dynamic human foot movements must of course be based on good balance to create fast and powerful movement maneuvers, humans themselves naturally have different anatomical shapes both in length, width and height although still in the same large pattern, one of which is the flat foot shape and also the angle of the femur and tibia bones known as the Q-angle, the shape of the difference will affect the difference in tension produced in performing muscle contractions and also in more complex movements, namely kicking in a moving position such as or dynamic balance in more complex dimensions. This study aims to determine how the relationship between Q-angle, footprint, and leg muscle strength simultaneously affects dynamic balance in basketball athletes. This study uses multiple regression correlation analysis techniques, which are used to obtain a comprehensive picture of the relationship between dependent and independent variables as a whole, either simultaneously or partially. The results of the study obtained 56 research samples, after the analysis prerequisite test was carried out and met the normality, homogeneity and linearity test values, then continued with a hypothesis test which obtained the results that partially in this study obtained information that only muscle strength had a significant relationship to dynamic balance, with a correlation strength value of 0.789 which means it has a strong relationship. While Q-Angle and footrpint partially did not get significant test results. The results of the multiple regression test obtained the formula DB = 54.275 + 0.35QA + 0.141FP + 0.071 MS + e, where the Constant of 54.275 with positive parameters indicates that Q-angle, Footprint, and muscle strength will increase the dynamic balance value with an R Square value of .0702 which means that the three variables contribute 70.2% of the composition of dynamic balance and the rest is influenced by other factors or outside the regression variable equation studied. There is a simultaneous relationship between Q-angle, Footprint, and muscle strength towards dynamic balance.
