Abstract

This research talks about Islamic law regarding voting for all Candidate Pairs (Paslon) within the framework of "Mashālih Murlahah". In this research, a qualitative approach was used with library data analysis (library research). The method used is deductive-inductive analysis, where researchers will develop existing theories or hypotheses based on existing principles in political, religious and legal studies, as well as data found in relevant literature. The theory used in this study is Al-Būthi's Mashālih Murlah theory. The research results show that voting for all the candidate pairs cannot be equated with not having a leader or leaving the congregation (bughāt), because in practice, even if many people vote for all the candidate pairs and their ballots are declared invalid, this will still produce a leader as regulated by the system elections and legislation. In this context, the act of voting for all candidate pairs is legally justified. However, if voting for all candidates is thought to result in winning a candidate who has the potential to bring harm to Muslims, then voting for abstention or voting for all candidate pairs is an action that is not justified (haram).

Abstract

The aim of this research are 1. to examine and analyze the Walisongo concept of religious moderation in terms of the nine keywords for religious moderation of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, which include: a. humanity, b. public benefit, c. fair, d. balanced, e. obey the constitution, f. national commitment, g. tolerance, h. non-violence and. i. respect for tradition. 2. To analyze the relevance of the Walisongo concept of religious moderation to current religious moderation practices. This research uses qualitative methods and includes types of literature research. The data collection technique uses a documentary method by tracing primary and secondary data sources. The results of this research show that the concept of Walisongo moderation is seen from the nine key words for religious moderation of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion, namely (1) Humanity; Walisongo's preaching teachings emphasize empathy and a hard work ethic in the form of generosity, poverty alleviation, efforts to create prosperity, social solidarity and mutual cooperation (2) Public Benefit; Walisongo spreads Islam with morals, knowledge and principles of peace (wasathiyah) to bring solutions to society. (3) Fair; As a ruler, Walisongo not only protects Muslims, but also non-Muslims, such as Raden Paku's preaching which bestowed the title of Prabu Satmata as a symbol of the power of the Siwais (Shiwais) as well as a form of spiritual egalitarianism representing the majority of people who follow the Hindu Shiva teachings ( 4) Balanced; Walisongo believes that religion is part of obedience to Allah (hablum minallah) and maintaining social relations (hablum minannas). (5) Obey the Constitution; The da'wah material applied by Walisongo is material related to faith, sharia and muamalah. By adopting methods and methods developed by Sunni Sufi figures and based on QS An-Nahl verse 125. (6) National Commitment, including the oath of allegiance to Majapahit, the establishment of the Kutara Manawa Dharmashastra law as the Demak constitution, the transformation of Majapahit nationalist values with Islamic values. (7) Tolerance; includes a balance between the Hindu cosmology of Nawa Dewata and the Sufi cosmology of Walisongo, giving the title of Prabu Satmata and adopting the Majapahit model of power, respect for the values of other religious beliefs and beliefs. (8) Non-violence includes expanding the influence of Islam through kinship relations with community leaders and nobles, diplomacy with Majapahit leaders, and preaching based on sovereignty, religious humanism (9) Accommodation of local culture includes the Islamization of Hindu-Buddhist and Kapitayan terms, modification of wayang story norms with Islamic values, alignment of Islamic values with Hindu-Buddhist, Kapitayan and Tantra Bhairawa religious traditions.

Abstract

Al-Qur'an sebagai pedoman hidup utama umat Islam memerlukan pemahaman mendalam yang tidak hanya terbatas pada teks literalnya. Penelitian ini mengkaji urgensi dan interkoneksi ilmu Tafsir dan ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān dalam memastikan pemahaman Al-Qur'an yang benar dan komprehensif. Tafsir berfungsi sebagai alat untuk menjelaskan makna ayat-ayat, dengan dua pendekatan utama: Tafsir bi al-Ma’tsur yang berlandaskan riwayat sahih (dari Al-Qur'an, Hadis, Sahabat, dan Tabi'in), serta Tafsir bi al-Ra’y yang melibatkan ijtihad mufasir dalam koridor syar’i. Sementara itu, ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān adalah kumpulan cabang ilmu penunjang, meliputi Asbab al-Nuzul, Ilmu Qira’at, Gharib al-Qur’an, ‘Ilal al-Qur’ān, Makkiyah wa Madaniyah, Nasikh wa Mansukh, dan I‘jaz al-Qur’an. Ilmu-ilmu ini menyediakan fondasi historis, linguistik, dan metodologis yang vital bagi keakuratan penafsiran. Hubungan keduanya bersifat simbiotik dan saling melengkapi, di mana ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān membimbing Tafsir agar valid dan kontekstual, sementara Tafsir mengaktualisasikan pengetahuan dari ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān. Peran vital kedua ilmu ini bagi umat Islam mencakup membantu pemahaman Al-Qur'an yang benar, mencegah penafsiran keliru atau ekstrem, menjadi pedoman dalam fiqh, serta menjaga relevansi Al-Qur'an di era modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka, mengumpulkan data dari kitab tafsir klasik dan kontemporer (sumber primer) serta jurnal ilmiah (sumber sekunder), lalu dianalisis dengan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasilnya menegaskan bahwa penguasaan Tafsir dan ‘Ulūm al-Qur’ān adalah kunci untuk mengimplementasikan ajaran Al-Qur'an secara tepat, menjaga kesuciannya, dan menjadi landasan kehidupan beragama yang benar dan penuh berkah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis objek pengajaran dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an serta mengevaluasi relevansinya terhadap sistem pendidikan modern. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari fenomena sistem pendidikan kontemporer yang lebih menekankan aspek kognitif, namun mengabaikan pembinaan akhlak dan spiritualitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi pustaka (library research), di mana data dikumpulkan dari kitab tafsir, literatur pendidikan Islam, serta jurnal ilmiah relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa objek pengajaran dalam Al-Qur’an bersifat holistik dan komprehensif, meliputi akidah, akhlak, ibadah, ilmu pengetahuan, sejarah umat terdahulu, serta fenomena alam. Al-Qur’an tidak memisahkan antara ilmu dunia dan akhirat, antara dimensi intelektual dan spiritual, sehingga mampu membentuk manusia paripurna (insan kāmil). Relevansi objek pengajaran Al-Qur’an terhadap sistem pendidikan masa kini terlihat dalam kontribusinya terhadap penguatan pendidikan karakter, integrasi ilmu agama dan sains, pendidikan lingkungan, serta pembentukan kurikulum yang seimbang antara aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya rekonstruksi kurikulum berbasis nilai-nilai Qur’ani guna menciptakan pendidikan yang berlandaskan integritas, iman, dan ilmu.

Abstract

Classical interpretations of QS. An-Nisa’ 34 often reinforce patriarchal bias and construct gender relations in hierarchical terms. This study re-examines the verse through the reformist perspective of Rasyid Ridha in Tafsir al-Manar to offer a more just and contextual reading. Employing a library-based qualitative design with a descriptive-analytical approach enriched by content analysis and contextual-historical interpretation, the study uses Tafsir al-Manar as the primary source supported by academically relevant secondary literature. The findings reveal that Ridha understands qawwamah not as a justification for male domination, but as a moral mandate of leadership grounded in justice, compassion, and family responsibility. He asserts that role differences between men and women do not indicate superiority but reflect proportional functional division. These findings highlight Ridha’s significant contribution to developing a more humanistic and egalitarian contextual interpretation relevant to contemporary discussions on gender justice in Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct Qur’anic social values through a tarbawi exegesis of the socio-educational principles contained in Surah Al-Hujurat, verses 11–13. Using a qualitative, literature-based research design, it examines classical and contemporary tafsir works, Islamic educational scholarship, and relevant social theories. The analysis explores how these verses offer moral and pedagogical foundations for cultivating a civilized social character. The findings demonstrate that the Qur’anic teachings—including prohibitions against mockery, safeguarding human dignity, avoiding suspicion, refraining from fault-finding and backbiting, and strengthening brotherhood—function as core principles of social education applicable to modern educational contexts. A tarbawi approach reveals that these values are not merely normative but have transformative potential in shaping learners to interact ethically, inclusively, and respectfully within diverse societies. Verse 13, emphasizing human equality and piety as the ultimate moral criterion, provides a framework for education that rejects discrimination and promotes social harmony. Thus, reconstructing Qur’anic social values through a tarbawi lens enriches the discourse on social education and contributes to fostering a more humanistic and dignified society.
