Abstract

Audit of Electrical Energy at the Regional House of Representatives of the Tojo Una-Una District is a comprehensive method in examining energy use in a building to find the value of Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) and Energy Saving Opportunities (PHE) that can be obtained to reduce energy waste so that the consumption of electrical energy is more effective and efficient. The audit of Electrical Energy is carried out according to SNI 03-6196-2000 concerning Energy audit procedures in buildings and the Regulation of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2012 concerning Savings Electricity Consumption. The results of the evaluation of the Energy Consumption Intensity Calculation conducted at the Office of the Regional House of Representatives of Tojo Una-Una District known that there are 16 rooms with the criteria for the Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) value, namely an office building with air conditioning has efficient enough 8 rooms, wasteful 3 rooms and based on office buildings without Air-conditioning is quite efficient in 3 rooms and wasteful in 2 rooms. The results of Energy Saving Opportunities (PHE) that have been identified by using air conditioning and energy-saving lamps, reducing hours of use without reducing the quality of service in the office can save electricity consumption of 2.339,5165 kWh/month or save electricity bill payments of IDR. 3.379.899,60/month.

Abstract

Teachers have commonly utilized existing online educational games to create more engaging learning experiences. However, their digital competence in developing online educational games remains insufficiently developed. QuizWhizzer is one of the digital applications that can be used to create online educational games. Therefore, this community service program aimed to (1) train teachers to use the QuizWhizzer application in developing online educational games, (2) improve teachers’ digital competence, and (3) examine teachers’ responses to the training program. The participants consisted of 34 teachers from SMPN 6 Palu. The program was conducted through three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training activities included lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in using the QuizWhizzer application. The results showed that the average pre-test score of teachers’ digital competence was 53.33, while the average post-test score increased to 72.94, with a normalized gain score of 0.44. In addition, 94.12% of the participants successfully completed the practical assignment of developing online educational games using QuizWhizzer. The average score of teachers’ responses to the training was 4.65, indicating a highly positive perception. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that (1) the teachers were successfully trained to use QuizWhizzer for developing online educational games, (2) their digital competence improved at a moderate level, and (3) they expressed highly positive responses toward the training program.

Abstract

Assessment in physics education requires valid and reliable measurement instruments capable of accurately representing students’ cognitive abilities, including conceptual understanding, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Over the past decades, instrument validation has shifted from Classical Test Theory to modern probabilistic measurement models, particularly Item Response Theory (IRT) and the Rasch model. Despite the growing application of these models in physics education research, the expanding literature remains thematically and methodologically fragmented, limiting a comprehensive understanding of the field’s intellectual development. Therefore, this study aims to map the intellectual structure and research trends of IRT and Rasch model applications in physics education assessment. This study employed a bibliometric research design using 243 Scopus-indexed publications published between 2001 and 2026. Bibliographic metadata were retrieved using Publish or Perish and analyzed using the Bibliometrix package in RStudio and VOSviewer to examine publication trends, influential sources, collaboration networks, and keyword co-occurrence patterns. The results reveal substantial growth in publications, increasing by more than 1,150% over the past two decades. Five major thematic clusters were identified: measurement frameworks, psychometric modeling, validity and fairness, instrument development and technology, and learning progression. Emerging themes such as computational thinking, digital instrument development, and multidimensional assessment indicate a shift toward competency-based and technology-supported assessment practices. Overall, the findings reveal the intellectual structure and research trends of IRT and Rasch model applications in physics education assessment, demonstrating their growing role as central methodological frameworks in contemporary assessment research. These findings also provide directions for future research, particularly in developing multidimensional Rasch-based instruments and technology-enhanced assessment systems in physics education

Abstract

Light energy transmission is one of the topics in junior high school science (Physics) that potentially causes comprehension difficulties due to its abstract nature when delivered solely through theoretical instruction. A literature review of Arduino-based studies reveals two gaps: first, some studies focused only on measuring light intensity without examining light energy transmission through specific media; second, studies that measured transmission through transparent materials remained limited to ideal laboratory conditions and had not integrated assessments of students' conceptual understanding. This study aimed to develop a light energy transmission measuring teaching aid based on the Arduino ESP32 type, programmed using the Arduino IDE. The ESP32 was selected due to its advantages over conventional Arduino, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, enabling more accurate sensor readings and real-time data display. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on light energy transmission, utilization of ESP32, an LED flashlight as a contextual light source, testing on nako glass and no medium conditions, and direct assessment of students' conceptual understanding within a single integrated design. The method used in this study is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model design, conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Sigi involving 21 eighth-grade students of class VIII A. Data were analyzed using the N-Gain formula. The results showed an N-Gain score of 0.58 which falls in the moderate category, indicating an improvement in students' conceptual understanding after participating in the learning process by applying teaching aids in the learning.
