Abstract

This study was aiming at exploring  students’s restorative experience of visiting a mosque in campus area. A qualitative approach with phenomenological method was employed. Five students who were chosen purposively based on their visit frequencies to the campus mosque were involved in this study.Data collected using semi-structured interviews and analyzed using  interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). The result shows that students report that they are able to restore their physical and psychological conditions after visiting the mosque for routine praying and relaxing. For most participants, the mosque they are visiting in campus is attractive since it has a wide open space inside with quiet, windy and fresh atmosphere. Most  participants also reports that they do some allowed relaxing activities in mosque such as chatting with friends and  taking a rest temporarily in the mosque terrace which make their fatigues and motivation restored. Visiting the campus mosque  makes  participants experience some condititions such as having more excitement, more calm and more capable of maintaining motivation to do their routine activities as a student.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pengalaman mahasiswa ketika menggunakan Masjid kampus. Fokus ditekankan pada bagaimana masjid sebagai sebuah tempat ibadah dimanfaatkan oleh mahasiswa  sebagai sumber lingkungan restoratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Partisipan merupakan lima mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Surabaya yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan jumlah dan kebiasaan dalam menggunakan masjid.  Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi terstruktur. Analisis data menggunakan teknik interpretative pnenomenological Analysis (IPA). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa para partisipan melaporkan bahwa mereka dapat memulihkan kondisi fisik dan memperoleh kondisi psikologis yang lebih baik dengan mengunjungi Masjid kampus. Daya tarik masjid yang mendorong para partisipan menggunakannya adalah bentuk bangunan masjid yang lapang, suasana atau atmosfer lingkungan yang segar dan tenang, serta beberapa kemudahan yang bisa diakses secara terbatas di teras masjid selain beribadah, yaitu untuk ngobrol dengan teman atau merebahkan tubuh. Para partisipan menyatakan bahwa lingkungan fisik masjid dan suasana psikologis yang muncul di dalamnya telah   membantu mereka memulihkan dirinya dari kelelahan dan membangkitkan kembali motivasi. Setelah mengunjungi masjid, mereka mengalami keadaan yang lebih bersemangat, lebih tenang, dan mampu menata motivasi untuk melanjutkan rutinitas sehari-hari sebagai mahasiswa.

Abstract

The practice of giving evaluations from students to lecturers is often the moment when the halo effect occurs. Sex and age as individual attributes contribute to positive or negative evaluations of teaching evaluations. The purpose of this study is whether the attributes of age and sex interact with the halo effect in giving evaluations from students to lecturers. This research uses a one-shot case study with an online between-subjects design. One hundred twenty participants were divided into four groups. Each group evaluates 1 of 4 different photos (young men, older men, young women, and older women) labeled with the identity as a lecturer. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show: (1) The sex of the lecturer has no effect on student evaluation (F=0.730, p=0.395); (2) Lecturer age has no effect on student evaluation (F=0.587, p=0.445); (3) The interaction of sex and age has no effect on student evaluation (F=0.649, p=0.525). The sex and age of the lecturer do not affect the evaluation by students. The halo effect did not occur in the students in this study.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi sikap dan persepsi orang muda Indonesia terhadap LGBT+. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Sebanyak 46 orang dari individu non-LGBT+ dan 22 orang dari individu atau komunitas LGBT+ mengisi kuesioner pertanyaan terbuka secara daring. Kriteria partisipan adalah Warga Negara Indonesia yang berusia 17 – 35 tahun. Analisis tematik menghasilkan empat tema utama, yaitu persepsi terhadap LGBT+ yang dimanifestasikan sebagai orientasi seksual atau perilaku seksual; persepsi terhadap homoseksualitas yang dimanifestasikan sebagai kondisi alamiah, wajar atau kesalahan; penerimaan masyarakat terhadap LGBT+, yang berkaitan dengan ruang dan generasi atau kelompok usia; serta presentasi diri LGBT+ dalam masyarakat. Peneliti mendiskusikan lebih lanjut terkait LGBT+ apakah bisa sebagai identitas sosial berdasarkan peluang dan tantangan, optimalisasi media sosial sebagai ruang aman bagi LGBT+ untuk mempresentasikan dirinya, serta pentingnya peran konteks dalam memahami LGBT+ di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menjembatani kesenjangan di antara individu non-LGBT+ dengan individu atau komunitas LGBT+, sehingga tercipta lingkungan yang lebih baik bagi komunitas LGBT+ sebagai minoritas, dalam hal ini memperkuat toleransi dan saling menghormati. Penelitian dengan wawancara mendalam diperlukan untuk lebih mengeksplorasi dinamika psikologis dan sosial terhadap LGBT+.

Abstract

The most extensive localization in Southeast Asia, Gang Dolly, has been closed by the Surabaya city government. In 2017 the Surabaya City Government launched DS (Dolly Saiki) Point as a centre for MSME products in the Dolly area to restore the community's economic sector. It has been five years running; there are still obstacles to maximizing the existing potential. These obstacles are the difficulty for the centre to be known by the public, the low frequency of people accessing DS Point and the unfamiliarity of DS Point as a souvenir centre in the City of Surabaya. The transformation of Gang Dolly that has taken place since the closure of the localization still requires branding for MSME players who grow there. One form of branding creation that can be done at Gang Dolly is to improve the promotional elements at the DS Point centre, namely the logo. This service involves relevant policymakers at the Surabaya City level, educational institutions, and SME actors. This service method uses focus group discussions, interviews, and observations. The results of the DS Point rebranding process are explained through four themes, namely: 1) Obstacles between stakeholders in MSME branding; 2) Logo as the entrance to product introduction; 3) History of the area as a forming logo element; and 4) colour psychology as a logo appeal. The service program produces outcomes and recommendations, which are reviewed in this article's results and discussion sections.

Abstract

Peran UMKM dalam transformasi urban suatu wilayah sangat penting di Indonesia. Sayangnya UMKM di Indonesia saat ini berada pada kondisi ketidakpastian ekonomi setelah terdampak COVID-19. Kondisi tersebut menciptakan berbagai ancaman bagi UMKM seperti penurunan penjualan yang berakhir dengan penutupan usaha. Pada sisi pemerintah, berkurangnya jumlah UMKM yang aktif akan menciptakan permasalahan urban seperti pengangguran dan tindak kriminalitas. Khususnya pada area tertentu seperti kawasan eks-lokalisasi Dolly ada resiko munculnya aktivitas ekonomi ilegal (underground economy) karena hilangnya aktivitas ekonomi legal yang menopang hidup masyarakat seperti UMKM. Aktivitas pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk membantu mengatasi permasalahan UMKM yang ada di masyarakt sekaligus mencegah munculnya aktivitas ekonomi ilegal di area Dolly melalui optimalisasi aktivitas UMKM. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan adalah metode Participatory  Action  Research (PAR).  Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian terdapat lebih dari 30 UMKM yang berusaha memanfaatkan fitur digital seperti Instagram story dan short video untuk memasarkan produk yang dijual. Pada aktivitas festival terdapat 35 UMKM yang bergabung untuk memasarkan produk mereka serta terdapat 50 anak-anak pada usia balita hingga SD (Sekolah Dasar) yang tergabung dalam pendidikan kewirausahaan pada Festival Dolly bangkit sebagai salah satu aktivitas pendukung untuk menciptakan keberlangsungan UMKM di masa depan.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is experiencing a transformation through the integration of multiple intelligence theories in the curriculum to optimize student potential. The problem is the need to develop students' potential holistically to prepare them to face the demands of future society. The urgency lies in the need for inclusive and diverse education to ensure that every student can develop optimally. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of integrating the theory of multiple intelligences in improving student learning in Indonesia. The research method involves direct observation during classroom learning sessions, using the Science Behavior Checklist and Pure Value Observation. Data was collected through structured observation and processed using qualitative analysis methods. The research results show that a learning atmosphere that integrates multiple intelligence elements helps develop students' scientific tendencies and noble values. In conclusion, the integration of multiple intelligence theory in the Indonesian curriculum provides a valuable contribution to developing students' potential holistically, preparing them for academic success, and becoming empowered individuals. The implication of this research is the need to continue to encourage inclusive learning approaches that take into account the diversity of students' intelligence to create a learning environment that supports holistic development.

Abstract

Aggressive behavior in the workplace is a crucial issue in Indonesia, potentially having a negative impact on individuals, teams, and organizations. This systematic literature review aims to analyze research on aggressive behavior in the workplace in Indonesia, including the factors that influence it, its impact, and coping strategies. This literature review uses the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) method. A literature search was conducted in electronic databases such as Google Scholar, Scopus, and PubMed with the keywords "aggressive behavior", "workplace", and "Indonesia". From 25 relevant studies, the findings show that the factors that influence aggressive behavior in the workplace in Indonesia include work stress, workload, interpersonal conflict, and organizational culture. The impact of aggressive behavior in the workplace can include reduced productivity, employee turnover, and poor mental health. Coping strategies that can be implemented to overcome aggressive behavior in the workplace include stress management training programs, conflict intervention programs, and the formation of a positive organizational culture. Aggressive behavior in the workplace is a complex problem with various factors that influence it. Comprehensive prevention and mitigation efforts are needed to overcome this problem and create a safe and conducive work environment.

Abstract

Background: Cultural values ​​in Javanese social interactions have shifted, especially in the context of modernization that has an impact on the implementation of Andhap Asor, a cultural concept that emphasizes humility and respect. Objective: This qualitative study aims to explore the meaning and implementation of Andhap Asor in contemporary Javanese society through a realist approach, focusing on the psychological context of this value in social behavior. Method: Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and surveys with open-ended questions, involving teenagers, cultural figures, and stakeholders, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Thematic analysis in this study produced four themes: (1) The Psychological Concept of Andhap Asor; (2) Multi-generational Context in the Implementation of Andhap Asor; (3) Cultural Shift and Preservation Efforts; and (4) Contribution of Andhap Asor to Education and Social Cohesion. Conclusion: The conclusion of the study shows that although the value of Andhap Asor has declined among the younger generation, this principle remains important in creating harmonious social relationships, supporting mental health, and maintaining social cohesion in the modern era.
