Abstract

This study aims to describe the characteristics of spiritual leadership in the interpretation of Qs. Al-Maidah verse 8. A qualitative-descriptive approach is used in this study and the type of research conducted is library research. The findings obtained are essentially in the Islamic perspective, leadership is a sacred responsibility mandate carried out by individuals to direct themselves, others, and even society as a whole towards shirathal mustaqim based on the principles of Islamic teachings. In Qs. Al-Maidah verse 8, believers are ordered to carry out their work carefully, honestly and sincerely because of Allah, both religious and worldly affairs. Thus, the characteristics of spiritual leadership in Qs. Al-Maidah verse 8 include: (1) upholding justice because of Allah, (2) not being driven by hatred, (3) honesty, (4) being pious to Allah, and (5) being aware of Allah's supervision.

Abstract

This study examines the epistemology of Tawhid in Islamic education through the implementation of Ismail Raji al-Faruqi's Islamization of Knowledge theory. The research employs a qualitative approach with library research methodology, analyzing primary and secondary sources related to al-Faruqi's intellectual contributions. The study reveals that al-Faruqi's epistemological framework is built upon three fundamental dimensions: unity of knowledge, unity of life, and unity of humanity. These dimensions form a comprehensive epistemological foundation that integrates all branches of knowledge under the paradigm of Tawhid as the ultimate source of truth. The implementation of this theory in Islamic education requires systematic transformation including philosophical restructuring, curricular integration, and methodological innovation. The research findings indicate that al-Faruqi's model offers a viable solution to the dichotomy between religious and secular sciences by establishing an integrative educational framework that develops holistic human personality. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic educational philosophy and provides practical guidelines for implementing Tawhid-based epistemology in contemporary Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Islamic Education Management (MPI) holds immense potential for cultivating a generation that is intellectually astute, morally upright, and equipped with 21st-century skills, thereby making a positive contribution to society and the nation. SMK Al-Achyar exemplifies this by integrating Islamic spiritual and ethical values with global competency demands, proving to be highly essential. Concrete programs ensure students are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the information age. Furthermore, this success is bolstered by strategic partnerships with businesses, industries, and the community, which provide valuable opportunities for students. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, integrating in-depth interviews as the primary data collection technique. Data analysis was conducted inductively using the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, ensuring comprehensive and verified findings. The study results indicate that programs like Kitab Kuning, public speaking, and digital literacy effectively prepare students for challenges. This success is consistently driven by the strategic utilization of information technology as an accelerator in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of addition and subtraction problem solving abilities of grade II students of SDN 1 Lalonggasumeeto through Math Puzzle Games using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest and posttest control group design, the subjects in this study were grade II students of SDN 1 Lalonggasumeeto. The results showed that students' addition and subtraction mathematical problem solving abilities through Math Puzzle Games were higher than the group that was not given treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of learning facilities through electronic device restriction policies in supporting dual education at Pondok Pesantren Mannallah. Dual education that integrates diniyah and formal curricula creates complexity in facility needs, especially when pesantren implements strict restrictions on the use of electronic devices. This qualitative research with a case study design involves 29 santri and 5 administrators as research subjects selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman & Saldana model. The research results show: (1) the condition of learning facilities is still conventionally oriented with significant limitations in digital facilities there are no shared computers for santri, internet access is very limited, and the management system is manual-based; (2) the implementation of electronic device restriction policy creates a pedagogical paradox that is effective in maintaining the focus of diniyah learning but hinders the fulfillment of formal education needs; (3) optimization strategies require a controlled digital access model that provides controlled technology facilities without sacrificing pesantren values. The practical implications of this research recommend the provision of digital learning spaces with scheduled access, monitoring systems based on direct supervision, and integration of digital literacy into the pesantren curriculum as solutions to balance value preservation with 21st-century learning technology adaptation.

Abstract

This study analyzes the management of inclusive education innovation at MI Al-Mahabbah as an organic implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in addressing teacher competency gaps. Using a qualitative instrumental case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with two shadow teachers and the principal, as well as an analysis of adaptive curriculum documents. The results indicate that the four TQM principles (Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, Employee Involvement, and Leadership Commitment) are implemented in a bottom-up manner through an individualized sensory curriculum (1:1 ratio in separate classes), a weekly evaluation cycle, collaboration among shadow teachers, and freedom to innovate, resulting in increased teacher practical competency and increased participation of students with special needs. However, this model is segregated and vulnerable due to its reliance on personal leadership and the lack of special education competencies. This study confirms the potential of informal TQM as a temporary solution amidst resource constraints, while emphasizing the need for formal training and a collaborative transition to inclusive learning.

Abstract

Purpose-This study aims to: (1) analyze how YBM BRILiaN RO Yogyakarta designs and implements its Family Strengthening Program as a model of Islamic philanthropic intervention; (2) evaluate its compliance with fiqh muamalah principles and Indonesian zakat law (Law No. 23 of 2011); and (3) identify the institutional challenges in its execution. Method-This study employs a qualitative case study design with a retrospective institutional perspective. To methodology integrates: (1) a legislative approach analysing Law No. 23/2011, Government Regulation No. 14/2014, and DSN-MUI fatwas on productive zakat; and (2) a conceptual normative-juridical approach employing maqashid al-shariah and fiqh muamalah to evaluate program compliance. Data were collected via structured interview with the program supervisor and the institution's official documentation video, analyzed through thematic categorization combined with normative-juridical analysis. Result-The Islamic philanthropy program operates on a three-year cycle: spiritual, educational, and health coaching (Year 1); economic empowerment via MIGP (Year 2); and independence with social contributions (Year 3), achieving the mustahik-to-muzakki transformation evidenced by voluntary infak, sedekah, and zakat contributions among Year 3 beneficiaries Key institutional challenges identified include beneficiary impatience during Year 1 and transactional participation patterns that require structural and motivational responses. Normative-juridical analysis further confirms: the MIGP capital constitutes hibah (unconditional grant) as the akad that operationalises the tamlik principle, compliant with Article 27 of Law No. 23/2011; recipients are correctly classified as asnaf al-fuqarā' and al-masākīn per QS. Al-Taubah: 60; and the three-year cycle holistically realises all five maqashid al-shariah objectives at the household level. Implication-This study provides theoretical and juridical contributions to Islamic philanthropy literature, offering a legally validated and replicable model for sharia-compliant family empowerment in Indonesia. Practical implications recommend stronger sharia governance mechanisms: formal written hibah documentation, consistent asnaf verification, and transparent fund disbursement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi peer learning dalam memperkuat Sistem Penjaminan Mutu Internal (SPMI) di LPQ AMM Yogyakarta, khususnya dalam konteks peningkatan kompetensi pendidik dan efektivitas siklus PPEPP (Penetapan, Pelaksanaan, Evaluasi, Pengendalian, dan Peningkatan). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi dengan informan yang meliputi pengelola lembaga, tim pelatih, tim supervisi, dan pendidik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peer learning berperan signifikan dalam membangun budaya reflektif dan kolaboratif di antara pendidik melalui mekanisme observasi sejawat, forum refleksi, dan pelatihan internal. Implementasi peer learning terbukti membantu memperkuat pelaksanaan PPEPP, terutama pada aspek evaluasi dan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran Al-Qur’an. Namun, penelitian juga menemukan hambatan berupa keterbatasan waktu pendidik, variasi kompetensi guru, dan belum optimalnya dokumentasi mutu. Implikasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peer learning dapat menjadi model peningkatan mutu yang relevan dan kontekstual bagi lembaga pendidikan Al-Qur’an, karena mampu mengubah paradigma mutu dari administratif menjadi partisipatif serta mendorong terbentuknya budaya mutu yang berkelanjutan.
