Abstract

Pelatihan dan pembimbingan penggunaan Storytelling bagi Pendidik dan Bunda Kelompok Bermain (KB) Cahaya Insan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mendongeng sebagai metode pembelajaran bagi anak-anak usia dini. Storytelling membantu merangsang imajinasi, mengembangkan keterampilan bahasa, serta meningkatkan minat belajar anak melalui cerita yang interaktif. Pendidik dan Bunda diajarkan teknik Storytelling, termasuk ekspresi wajah, intonasi, dan gerakan tangan untuk membuat cerita lebih hidup. Mereka juga belajar memilih cerita yang sesuai dengan perkembangan anak dan menyisipkan pesan moral. Sesi praktik langsung memberikan kesempatan bagi peserta untuk berlatih dan mendapatkan umpan balik. Dengan keterampilan yang diperoleh, serta pembagian Buku Cerita kepada anak-anak, diharapkan Pendidik dan Bunda KB Cahaya Insan mampu menyampaikan cerita dengan lebih percaya diri dan efektif, serta anak-anak menjadi tertarik dengan proses mendengarkan dan membaca.

Abstract

This study aims to describe English teaching materials and identify the needs of English language teaching materials based on character education by using the Total Physical Response (TPR) method at SDIT Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman. This research is a Research Development (R and D) with qualitative descriptive research design. Participants of this study were teachers and students of grade V SDIT Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman. Instruments of this research are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results showed that teachers and students needed English-based teaching materials based on character education. The teaching material needed is a teaching material that is easy to understand and comprehend and it can be used by teachers and students. In addition, the teaching materials are also able to make students active, creative, and communicative. Moreover, the attitude the students wants are a confident attitude, responsibility, and love to to work hard. Thus, it can be concluded that English teaching materials need to be developed using Total Physical Response (TPR) method based on character education

Abstract

This study aimed to identify medical students’ problems in following English online learning on the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used qualitative descriptive research using a survey design. The participants of this research were 183 medical students of Baiturahmah University who taking English subject. Data was collected through questionnaires that spread by using Google Forms. The data were analyzed quantitatively. The results of the study showed that the medical students had problems in English online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The problems faced were the networks, the limited quota, the environment, the motivation, and the comprehension of materials. It is hoped that the institutions, the lecturers, and the students find the solution in creating effective, conducive, and valuable learning.
