Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance the competitiveness of women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Surabaya by providing practical marketing strategies through a workshop. Despite their significant role in the national economy, many UMKM, especially those run by women, face challenges in marketing due to limited access to training and resources. This workshop, held at Darmo Trade Center, Surabaya, focused on providing simple yet applicable marketing strategies, such as the STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) framework and the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) to help entrepreneurs better understand their products, target consumers, and improve product differentiation. The workshop also emphasized entrepreneurial characteristics and business risk-taking. The results indicated that the participants, mostly women entrepreneurs, gained valuable insights into marketing strategies and felt more confident in applying these concepts to improve their business performance. Feedback from the participants suggested a high level of engagement and readiness to implement the strategies discussed.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Fire Product marketing management strategies in optimizing supply chain distribution at PT. Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara Barat. An exploratory case study with a qualitative approach was conducted through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving 20 key informants from various departments. The results show that PT. Amman Mineral implements multi-dimensional marketing strategies with a value-based marketing approach and the "Fire Safety Champion" program that significantly improves distribution efficiency. Five main factors affecting distribution effectiveness include geographical conditions, inter-departmental coordination, technology and information systems, demand fluctuations, and supplier availability and responsiveness. The implementation of product value-based marketing strategies positively correlates with distribution efficiency, marked by a 43% decrease in emergency requests and a 23% reduction in excess inventory without sacrificing availability in critical areas. An integrative model combining demand-based marketing, just-in-time inventory management, and digital monitoring systems is proposed to optimize Fire Product distribution. This research provides theoretical contributions to the development of an integrative marketing management and supply chain model for products with high strategic significance, as well as practical implications for improving distribution efficiency in industries with complex operational characteristics.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of school leadership on improving the quality of human resources within educational institutions by implementing character- and environment-focused programs, specifically the Adiwiyata School initiative. Employing a qualitative methodology, data were gathered through interviews, observations, and document analysis across several schools participating in the program. The results reveal that transformational leadership plays a critical role in motivating teachers and staff to enhance their professional skills and adopt innovative teaching approaches rooted in environmental stewardship and national character values. Additionally, active collaboration between schools and local communities emerges as a key factor contributing to the program’s effectiveness. The Adiwiyata School program not only fosters heightened environmental consciousness but also cultivates a school culture dedicated to developing student character. The study concludes that effective leadership in human resource management and school governance is essential for fostering sustainable, positive transformation, particularly within the evolving educational landscape influenced by digital advancements and pandemic challenges. Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for improving service quality at the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Surabaya City through performance management of apparatus, optimization of digital technology utilization, and integration of good governance principles. Disdukcapil faces complex challenges due to high population mobility and increasing public demands for fast, transparent, and accountable services. Using a qualitative approach with observations and in-depth interviews with apparatus and service users, the study finds that successful public service delivery depends not only on system modernization but also on the capability of human resources to operate the system professionally and with integrity. Implementation of performance appraisal based on Employee Performance Targets (SKP), competency evaluations, and a fair reward and punishment system are crucial foundations to encourage productivity and an adaptive work culture. Information technology acts as an accelerator for service efficiency but is only effective if supported by adequate digital literacy among the public. Therefore, strategies to enhance service quality must combine strengthening internal bureaucratic capacity with empowering the community as active partners. The study concludes that the success of local public service reform relies on harmonizing policy instruments, digital infrastructure, and good governance values. Bureaucratic transformation oriented toward public satisfaction must be built through accountable, responsive, and inclusive systems to deliver excellent, fair, and sustainable services. The findings provide important foundations for formulating equitable and performance-based public service policies.

Abstract

Public asset management is a critical component in enhancing the efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of local governance. However, many regions in Indonesia continue to face challenges such as data inaccuracy, underutilized assets, and weak oversight systems. This study aims to propose a strategic framework for optimizing public asset management by integrating digital technology, reinforcing governance accountability, and developing sustainable local policies. A qualitative method with a systematic literature review design was employed, analyzing recent academic literature, government reports, and policy documents published between 2019 and 2024. The findings reveal that digital integration through platforms such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cloud-based asset tracking, and AI-powered analytics significantly improves asset visibility, utilization efficiency, and monitoring. Furthermore, accountability measures—including public audits, transparent budgeting, and civic engagement—enhance trust and reduce risks of corruption. Additionally, sustainable local policies that incorporate ESG principles, circular economy models, and public-private partnerships contribute to long-term asset value and community welfare. The synergy between these three strategic pillars—digitalization, accountability, and sustainability—produces a responsive and adaptive asset management system. This research contributes to the development of a conceptual model linking digital transparency with policy effectiveness and operational efficiency. It is expected to serve as a practical guide for local governments in formulating integrated asset governance strategies that align with the evolving demands of public service delivery.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of employee engagement in the relationship between perceived organizational support (POS), leadership style, and turnover intention among sales promoters at PT. BOH Vivo Area B Surabaya. Using a quantitative approach with 175 respondents and SEM-AMOS analysis, results reveal that POS (β = 0.326; p = 0.019) and leadership style (β = 0.931; p < 0.001) have a significant positive effect on employee engagement. POS has a significant negative effect on turnover intention, while leadership style and employee engagement have negative but not significant effects. Employee engagement partially mediates the effect of POS (-0.033) and leadership style (-0.087) on turnover intention. The model explains 68.2% of the variance in employee engagement and 18.9% in turnover intention. These findings highlight the importance of organizational support and adaptive leadership in enhancing work engagement and reducing employee turnover intention in the technology retail industry.
