Abstract

Inflation is a key macroeconomic indicator affecting purchasing power, investment decisions, and overall economic stability; therefore, reliable forecasts are essential for proactive policy responses. This study aims to develop a monthly inflation forecasting model for Indonesia while interpreting its implications for economic stability. The data consist of Indonesia’s monthly inflation from January 2003 to April 2026 (280 observations) sourced from Bank Indonesia. The analysis applies the Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) approach using standard steps: stationarity testing, model identification, parameter estimation, diagnostic checking, and forecasting. The results indicate that the series requires first differencing to achieve stationarity, and the most appropriate model based on statistically significant parameters, the lowest Akaike Information Criterion value among valid candidates, and white-noise residual diagnostics is ARIMA (0,1,2). Forecasts for May to December 2026 suggest inflation will fluctuate within a moderate range of 2.12% to 4.50%, peaking in August 2026 at 4.50% and reaching the lowest level in October 2026 at 2.12%. Overall, the projected pattern implies relatively controlled inflation dynamics, providing an early signal that can support price-stabilization policy planning and improve certainty for real-sector production and investment activities.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceptions of halal beauty and ecospirituality on consumption behaviour, with Islamic consumption ethics as a mediating variable. The approach used is quantitative, using the Structural Equation Modelling method based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM), with data from 101 Muslim female Generation Z respondents with experience or knowledge of halal beauty products. The results show that perceptions of halal beauty and ecospirituality have a positive and significant effect on Islamic consumption ethics, with ecospirituality as the dominant factor, but neither directly affects consumption behaviour. Through Islamic consumption ethics, which have been proven to be significant in mediating the relationship, it is possible to bridge ecospirituality with consumption behaviour, and fully and weakly link halal beauty perception with consumption behaviour. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of strengthening the ethical value of Islamic consumption in education, counselling, and marketing strategies for halal products, so that consumers are not only oriented towards halal labels but also towards spiritual awareness and environmental concerns.

Abstract

The informal sector plays a crucial role in the Indonesian economy, accounting for a significant share of labor absorption. However, it is also closely linked to poverty, low productivity, wage inequality, and limited tax revenue and financial deepening. Social media adoption is seen as a business development strategy, yet the majority of informal businesses have not yet adopted it. This study analyzed the influence of social media on sales and the determinants of adoption using linear regression and probit logistic regression. The results indicate that education, owner age, smartphone ownership, and electricity access influence social media adoption, whereas experience does not. Social media also had no significant impact on the sales of informal sector businesses. Keywords: Informal Sector, Social Media, Sales, Business Actors

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises increasingly need adaptive leadership and digital marketing capabilities to sustain competitiveness in dynamic digital markets. This study examines the influence of situational leadership and digital marketing capability on sustainable competitive advantage among SMEs in Makassar, with digital marketing innovation positioned as a mediating variable. Data were collected from 304 SME owners through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that situational leadership and digital marketing capability significantly enhance digital marketing innovation, with situational leadership emerging as the stronger determinant. Digital marketing innovation and situational leadership were found to exert significant positive effects on sustainable competitive advantage, while digital marketing capability showed no significant direct effect on competitive outcomes. Mediation analysis confirmed that digital marketing innovation significantly mediates both the relationship between digital marketing capability and situational leadership to sustainable competitive advantage. These results suggest that digital marketing capability functions as a strategic prerequisite rather than a direct driver of competitive advantage, and that its value is only realized when actively transformed into innovative marketing practices. The study contributes to the dynamic capabilities literature and extends situational leadership theory by demonstrating that adaptive leadership and digital capabilities must be channeled through innovation to generate sustainable competitive value in resource-constrained SME environments.
