Abstract

According to the results of observations that have been carried out, especially regarding the last level of education in Hamlet 3, Bandar Setia Village, it shows that the majority of youth in Hamlet 3, Bandar Setia Village have a low level of education. The low level of education of the community in Hamlet 3, Bandar Setia Village is one of the factors that influences the low quality of welfare or the low level of the hamlet/village economy. Another problem faced by partners is that many young people drop out of school at a productive age who do not have special/additional skills so they do not have the opportunity to find promising work or do not have the opportunity to open their own business/entrepreneurship. Seeing the increasing number of motorbikes and many young people in Hamlet 3, Bandar Setia Village have an interest in the automotive sector, especially motorbikes. Therefore, the PkM team has carried out several activities to overcome these problems, namely (1) providing training on injection motorbike service (electronic fuel injection); (2) providing entrepreneurial training related to motorbike repair shops. The method of implementing this activity starts from socializing activities, implementing training, monitoring and evaluation. After participating in the training, partners felt that there was an increase in knowledge and skills related to injection motorbike service. Furthermore, partners are increasingly encouraged to own their own repair shops. Such activities can help improve the skills and well-being of the community.

Abstract

Desa Pulau Kampai di Kabupaten Langkat merupakan sentra produksi terasi tradisional dengan potensi ekonomi lokal yang besar, namun masih menghadapi kendala dalam efisiensi produksi, keterbatasan energi listrik, dan kualitas pengemasan produk. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dan daya saing terasi melalui penerapan mesin penggiling berbasis Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) dan mesin pengemas vakum. Mitra kegiatan adalah Karang Taruna “Terasi Udang Asli” yang selama ini memproduksi terasi secara kolektif menggunakan mesin diesel sederhana. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan teknologi, instalasi sistem PLTS dan peralatan produksi, serta pendampingan dan evaluasi berkala. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan produksi hingga 100%, penghematan biaya operasional sebesar 60%, serta perpanjangan masa simpan produk dari ±1 bulan menjadi ±6 bulan. Selain itu, 80% anggota mitra dinyatakan kompeten dalam mengoperasikan peralatan secara mandiri. Implementasi teknologi ini tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi produksi, tetapi juga memperkuat kemandirian energi dan kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengelolaan usaha kecil. Hasil kegiatan ini dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat pesisir berbasis energi terbarukan dan teknologi tepat guna yang layak direplikasi di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan melatih guru serta siswa jurusan Tata Busana di SMKN 1 Beringin dalam penggunaan teknologi desain pola busana berbasis komputer sebagai langkah mendukung penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Pelatihan ini menggunakan perangkat lunak Richpeace CAD yang memungkinkan peserta untuk menciptakan pola busana secara digital dengan lebih akurat, efisien, dan kreatif dibandingkan metode manual. Dengan pelatihan ini, para peserta diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kompetensi teknis, produktivitas, serta kreativitas dalam pembuatan pola, sesuai dengan tuntutan industri mode modern. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan pembuatan pola digital di kalangan guru dan siswa, yang ditandai dengan kenaikan rata-rata keterampilan dari 76,70% (manual) menjadi 89,81% (digital). Kompetensi baru ini diharapkan tidak hanya meningkatkan mutu lulusan SMKN 1 Beringin tetapi juga memperluas peluang karier mereka di industri fashion berbasis teknologi.

Abstract

Work readiness is an important factor in overcoming the high unemployment rate of college graduates. Various efforts have been made to improve the quality of work readiness, such as through welding technology courses. However, practical contributions measured through statistical analysis have never been made to date. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between students' perceptions of welding technology courses and work readiness. This type of research was ex-post facto research with a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used a questionnaire technique. The data analysis technique used correlational inferential analysis. The results of the study indicate that students' perceptions of welding technology courses (X) have a relationship with work readiness (Y) in the moderate category (r = 0.577) with the amount of contribution based on the coefficient of determination (r2 = 0.333) which means that variable X contributes 33.3% to Y. Based on the regression coefficient (b = 0.228) which shows that if variable X increases by 1 unit then variable Y increases by 0.228. The implications of this study indicate that welding technology courses make a moderate contribution to improving work readiness

Abstract

Current technological advancements are driving changes in assessment practices. The teachers at SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping have not yet optimally implemented digital formative assessments. The Community Partnership Program in the form of technical guidance on creating digital formative assessments to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is needed by the teachers at SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping. This activity aims to motivate and assist Physics teachers in continuously improving their competencies, particularly in knowledge. This community service activity in the form of mentoring uses a method that consists of several stages. The first stage is the preparation stage, the second stage is the guided and independent activity stage, and the third stage is monitoring. This activity received a positive response from the participants, namely the teachers of SMA N 1 Lubuk Sikaping, with more than half of the participants stating that the training was interesting, beneficial, and effective.
